@Telstra Yep. Unfortunately I’m so disgusted with the way I’ve been treated as a customer will see me head to @optus Telstra high prices dont reflect the service you receive from staff when there is a problem. It’s disgraceful. By far the worst telco I have dealt with, ever.

@recneps51 @Optus @NSW_FairTrading I bpay to telstra also, I know they charge me for a paper bill, which I request but never receive, but I don’t know about the other bit. I’d never allow direct debit, especially Optus, I used to ring them every other month about issues.

@Telstra 2hrs this morning wasted with your member chat trying to take out a new contract, long term customer counts for nothing, go on Optus site and as a nobody I got a better deal straight off.

@domknight @Optus Dom, i haven’t read the replies so this may already have been said: cryptographic key signatures solves the problem you’ve described.

@domknight @Optus Optus didn’t need to store them in a format that was hackable. For example @Haventec has an off-the-shelf solution they could have used to protect sensitive data. The Govt should not let them off the hook because they didn’t prioritise expenditure on critical Infrastructre

@peter__kay I think many will abandon Optus. At least the state governments have agreed to allow people to change their licences however that doesn't help those who used their passports. I hope it doesn't happen but someone could lose a lot of money

@abcnews Just watching the abc this morning - re monitoring service offered, Optus has given me a code to access twice and it has failed both times, now I’m waiting on their complaints system for that as well as the day breach and still no monitoring!

@BreakfastNews Optus clearly has no effective decision making team, absolutely appalling to have no followup after the Urgent email 5 days ago now. A friend did get a second email and went to 3 different service offices for a new license but gave up because of the huge queues.
