    @Telstra Yep. Unfortunately I’m so disgusted with the way I’ve been treated as a customer will see me head to @optus Telstra high prices dont reflect the service you receive from staff when there is a problem. It’s disgraceful. By far the worst telco I have dealt with, ever.

    @Smushster @ColdwaterQ @Jeremy_Kirk An unauthenticated public API being accessed isn’t even an exploit really. This is the equivalent of Optus storing customer data in a big unlocked filing cabinet in a public park with a sign on it saying “customer data”

    @StevenGeorgant1 I work in retail, selling tech... including mobile phones. Had a customer a week ago tell me that after he left his Optus plan he found out - they didn't tell him - he needed an unlock code only to be told they didn't have his account info any more. Yeah, seems like major BS.

    @Optus I received your notification of data breach including my ID at close to 11 PM (not a really good time for important email but I still read it anyway) Contacted online support and they said my ID is not breached? Why is it different than the email?

    @Optus can i get something confirmed? - optus had an api for checking your details - the only authentication needed to access data was the customer ID - customer IDs were generated sequentially I could only assume you guys are smarter than that, right?
