-
greg bradley (@gb7004) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus Dear @Optus I havre tried and spent over 15 hours trying to sort this out, including your ‘help’ desk which does nothing, as you can see from the images all you people do is lie
-
Deb Berger (@debmberger) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus Thank you. It’s a pity your chat help couldn’t check this. Or at least advise me to look at it. I was asked to reset my phone, remove my SIM card, change various settings. Each of these solutions were suggested multiple times despite advising none of them corrected the issue.
-

-
:Matt. (@Matteris) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@EVillainess @markrayfield2 @Jeremy_Kirk Better check the ACMA carrier legislation and then the audit requirements. 👍 Optus have failed to maintain customer privacy. Failed to secure the private data AND have failed to protect data IMO this was a deliberate act from cabal to force a cyber security event in the future.
-
V2★Anтнøny (@MKWAnthony) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandCurrently having a blackout and my 4G is garbage at best. Optus letting me down like most people in my life lol
-

-
The RedRoo from Downunder (@GuyRedRooHaines) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus how come if I’m a prepay customer I can select a $20 international roaming data plan with 10gig over 14 days but if I’m on a plan I have to select a $10per day for 1 gig add on? Seems sorta cruddy for your plan based customers.
-
Kathryn Geels (@girlondon) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@alsotheabyss @LaurenBeldi I felt the same about filling out those forms even before the Optus incident. It really wasn’t very clear how they used the information, how they stored it and where, who had access to it, and how long they keep it.
-
💧cognitive verb (@CognitiveVerb) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandDear @Optus I can’t do my job with slow internet

-
saint_ted (@saint_ted3) reported@TonyShepherd4 Where was the communications minister? Some one needed to step up and actually test it! Not like the the bungled Optus uggrade where the 000 outage went unnoticed for hours. Smart and proactive! Not something you Labtards would know anything about Tones.
-
Ben Nexhip (@ben_nexhip) reported@Cazzawhy @TigerAncient @SenSHenderson It’s also important that an opposition member of parliament can hold an MP accountable and be aware of lack of access to emergency services to the public in which they serve. Remembering what happened to Optus when people died as a result of losing the same access that was lost yesterday.
-
van00sa (@van00sa) reportedOne Telstra glitch this morning and half the country stopped working. Some clocks fell out of sync across a few network nodes at 4:30am and that was enough to ground every regional train in Victoria, suspend lines in NSW, knock out payments for small businesses, stop freight, and some 000 calls weren’t getting through. Boost, Aldi Mobile and Belong all run on Telstra’s network so their customers went down too. 25 million services are on this network. They don’t know the root cause yet. Optus went down for 14 hours last year and 2 people died when emergency calls couldn’t connect, now it’s Telstra’s turn. This is the infrastructure they want your ID, your payments and your entire life running through.
-
James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported@MiddleMoney @aussiewongm @Anneeokeefe I'm pretty sure Metro went down during the Optus outages last year. But restoration time was quicker iirc.
-
Evangeline (@evangelinestuff) reported@thmsenglsh i used to work at telstra and we had even more data breaches and outages than optus did but telstras like besties with every australian media outlet and funds alot of their services so everyone just bags on optus instead, telstra genuinely sucks
-
Daniel ★ (@Danielx64) reported@optus_help Hey Sam, I wasn't logged in and not even an Optus customer. Do you want me to DM the original enquiry so that it is easier to find the conversation?
-
Supergoy (@itsgoyimtime) reported@JH_Otway_Ranges @FranMooMoo Hanlon’s Razor or whatever razor that states never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. Optus staff literally left a URL public that was supposed to be private and someone stumbled on it.
-
daytona (@daytona7th) reported@tim_blee You would think that if you relied on the mobile network to receive payments then you would have a backup should the particular network fail. Maybe have an Optus or Vodafone SIM card handy or re-route your payment system to the NBN? No sympathy for unprepared businesses.
-
Melb is My Home (@MelbisMyHome23) reported@Raymartin55 So the opposition communications or health minister shouldn’t check to see if vital infrastructure is working properly Do you remember the Optus outage! Give me a spell!
-
James Bernard 🇦🇺✝️☕🎸 (@jamesabernard) reportedTelstra network issues rumble on in qld. Messages delayed Calls dropped. How's Optus & Vodaphone doing?
