  • mr_mouse
Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.

  • conal_tuohy
CONAL (@conal_tuohy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@LucasMapstone_ @Cas2o @maz_jovanovich Same happened to me just now in Brisbane. Optus network told my phone to jump forward but my girlfriend's identical phone, with identical settings, 3m away, stayed on Queensland time.

  • Flansq
Twenny-Juanita. (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@ch1ch01 @Optus Yeah. I reported as well — and also raised it in live chat. Spoke with another person on Optus here and they also have the same issue (actually said it’s regular at this location)

  • EthicalAdviser
Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Optus @glendat45 My house burnt down 14 months ago and they charged me for not returning the fetch box. That burnt along with it. Impossible to get any service from them. Hope it gets sorted out soon for you.

  • aimani
Arash (@aimani) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Optus we haven’t had mobile reception at our house in The Gap 4061 all day. Why the outage and when will it get rectified???

  • EthicalAdviser
Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

After telling the optus chat line that my house had burned down and that I had tried repeatedly to get the nbn cancelled (which I am still paying for), she asked me, and I kid you not, if I had tried turning it off and turning it back on again. I…I don’t know how to answer.

  • MattIsNE1
Matt (@MattIsNE1) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@TGUZ72 @Optus Well I have evidence as per screenshot and chat history that there is an issue which @Optus know about and they will compensate for number of days we are without service.

  • Willow07935405
Willow (@Willow07935405) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Anthony_Klan They are id##ts I got a letter today but it was addressed to my house but with someone else’s name, I’ve lived at this address for 32 years and have been a optus customer since then 😳

  • AjaanMark
    Dr Mark 🎄 🏴 🇵🇸 อาจารย์มาก (@AjaanMark) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Dollaryd00s I have an Optus 4G dongle as well as my phone and both seem slow since Wednesday.

  • etredoo
D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than a week!! No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just damn amazing service! @Telstra 6 weeks of bullshit text messages vs 1 week and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • Tur71e
Brett Turville (@Tur71e) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Braxeoswow @Optus I’d like to know the answer to that same question @Optus I call and then told the system to check is down. Pathetic service. This happens all the time in inner north Brisbane.

  • Scribe31oz
Linda Thackeray (@Scribe31oz) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Optus I'm ready to go elsewhere. I am 5 days with barely any phone service because you people decide to do upgrades in the middle of a pandemic where people are advised to stay home.

  • JamesCridland
James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@Yeahbutnaahh @Optus Optus informed me last week that my Australian passport number has been compromised. Narrator: James didn't have an Australian passport when he was an Optus customer. He is confused.

@blu_boys @Optus Switch to Amaysim. Half the price still on the Optus network. You can take your phone numbers.

  • Peter_Lewis747
    Peter Lewis (@Peter_Lewis747) reported

@Sueberry2 @blu_boys @Optus Not full Telstra network, limited Telstra network access. Only Boost has full Telstra network access.

  • Stewie8t
    Stuart (@Stewie8t) reported

@JimThom90458694 Just as with the Optus and other high profile hacks, it is our stupid 🇦🇺 government that insists on comprehensive customer data being retained for two or three years rather than being collected and retained for only as long as it takes to confirm the account, a couple of months.

  • endearinglwt
    tahlia (@endearinglwt) reported

why ******** did optus charge my phone bill TWICE

  • EaglestatsNW
Eagles. Stats and random. (@EaglestatsNW) reported

It's not possible for that to happen. I think not quite as bad as at Optus, both require a full clearing of the decks across the whole club. This isn't a rebuild in culture which is clearly what's required. It's just collecting players & not making them gel

  • Optus
    Optus (@Optus) reported

@saline Hi Samela, so that we are on the same page, you have an Optus service and your service is getting cut off at night, especially when you call your colleague Brenda? If you are an Optus customer having issues with your service then please send us a direct message with more details of the fault so that we can assist you further - Kartik

  • ijaz2021
    Mian Ijaz Rabbani (@ijaz2021) reported

@jazzpk Australia switched off its 3G network in 2024, since then Jazz IR roaming stopped working in Australia. Community raised it many times with Jazz, to always receive a reply to adjust network settings to no avail. Please talk with Singtel/Optus to restore Jazz IR in Australia.

  • afraid_au
    afraid_au (@afraid_au) reported

@Mobbie1996 @VeryBadSCAVR The OCE ping issues are mostly ISP related. The majority should be resolved now except for iPrimus & Optus users in NSW. If you're having issues elsewhere please shoot me a DM on Discord - afraid_au

  • motelbad
    Nathan (@motelbad) reported

So good to finally not be an Optus customer anymore after 2 years of paying my phone off 😌

  • itsrayfinkle
    Ray Finkle (@itsrayfinkle) reported

AusAlert cost ~$130 million to rollout. A 13x increase from the $10m initial budget. Here are the known costs and estimates: $10m Initial Planning Taskforce $60-70m Carrier access tolls (Telstra, Optus, TPG) $30m Security architecture & hardening $20-25m Foreign hardware + offshore managed services $5-10m Public awareness, testing & administration Want to know how each allocation is spent? Too bad. Contractors and government use "Commercial-in-Confidence" clauses to keep specific commercial margins and costs hidden from the public eye. A 1300% blowout with no accountability.
