  • fanaticeel
ScubaSteve (@fanaticeel) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@peter__kay It's truly appalling. And due to present laws passed by the previous govt Optus won't be fined! However that doesn't help what happened. I haven't been with optus since 96.. hmm I should be ok

  • TheOlderGamer52
Robbie Shenton (@TheOlderGamer52) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@VicBStard @NBN_Australia Makes sense. If @Optus had of kept the maintence of the cable up to standard before selling to the NBN then it wouldn't have been an issue. That being said I don't get why the NBN didn't just fix the issues.

  • Team_LiLy
MissLiLy (@Team_LiLy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

hey @newscomauHQ saw your article on @Optus about their incompetency and the hecking! They told me I wasn’t hacked and then a month later told me I was! Being trying to find a resolution and they are useless. Reach out if you want the story!

  • etredoo
D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than a week!! No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just damn amazing service! @Telstra 6 weeks of bullshit text messages vs 1 week and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • CognitiveVerb
💧cognitive verb (@CognitiveVerb) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@annkozma723 @OlivierElzingre @steven_kolber I suspect it was an internet service provider problem. @Flipgrid grid is pretty hungry and @Optus was not playing fair.

  • BorisOsery
Boris Osery (@BorisOsery) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@OptusNewsRoom I ordered a SIM card online on the 25/09/20. The Optus site says 3/5 business days delivery time. Optus can you tell me should your advertising be 30/50 business days delivery?? It’s the 12/10/20??? 🤬 WTF

@jlandsme_93 The media in WA refuse to press Optus management over it. The drainage system there has issues all the time. The soil develops a slippery biofilm on it due to the **** drainage system

  • oneXaday
    Jarrod (@oneXaday) reported

With Optus - national outage, price hikes ($45-60 monthly) and spotty, unexplained 4G and 5G city coverage. Decide to jump to Telstra. With Telstra - national outage... Yep.

  • CherylYogi41455
    Msnobody (@CherylYogi41455) reported

I wonder why I have never combined my Telstra internet and Optus mobile phone. Today I have my answer.

  • RaymondKeown3
    Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported

@TimjboAU I will be more than interested if this has been issues related to routers in call centres, and what was the country of origin, I did recommend long ago to Optus the reasoning for not using a certain China Telco provider. I wonder if history has repeated?

  • bujiandme
Cave Dweller and proud (@bujiandme) reported

@VoteLewko @Starlink And look who is confusing satellite internet with mobile phone services. Starlink is looking at reselling Optus mobile coverage as Starlink. Not using satellite phone service. It’s written in the article.

  • ravirockks
    Dr Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported

'[CBA] suggested customers switch connections to an Optus network or local wi-fi source. '[Tyro] was aware some people were unable to connect to payment machines that operate on 4G networks'.

  • ElephantMacro
    Macro Elephant (@ElephantMacro) reported

Wondering whether the Telstra CEO Vicky Brady will break down and cry when she fronts up to the media about the system outage, just like the Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin did, following the system outage in 2022?

  • Chris_E_Qld_Au
Chris Eastaughffe (AZ Vac done) (@Chris_E_Qld_Au) reported

@therevaknight Because of Government incompetence, they had no simple backup system, they made NO allowances for technological failure, complexity is the enemy of reliable; the reliability issue was known (ref previous OPTUS outage). NO REDUNDANCY for critical infrastructure! @heidimur

@NoticerNews Same reason for the recent Optus outage. This woke CEO & Labor government needs to swing.
