The worse customer service around. @Optus

  • cat_spalding Cat Spalding (@cat_spalding) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus have the worst onboarding customer experience. Email says order on way, online system says still processing. Online rep tells me order is being delivered... today, while I'm at work & can't sign for it. Rep blamed @startrack for mistake when clearly a system issue.

  • Better4Brisbane @Better4Brisbane (@Better4Brisbane) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus Thanks but your service has been awful. What you could do is not sell people in West End/Toowong postcodes your data products when you KNOW your infrastructure in the area is at capacity with speeds below 2MBps. I got speeds 10x faster in Bali. @Optus @telstra

  • sonyantony Sony Antony (@sonyantony) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus Seems like its somewhat okay now . Home internet was too slow .thanks for the reply . Appreciate your effort.

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

  • lachgriffiths Lachie (@lachgriffiths) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra It may be officially time to jump boat to OPTUS, not ideal situation but after the last 3 months of my Internet randomly going down for days at time with no explanation the frustration is a 10/10.

  • Dnball62 David (@Dnball62) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@David_TaskerIR @Optus Why does it take a posting on Twitter to get them moving. People are fed up with poor performance from these large telco companies!

  • CrayonANZ Dave Holmes 🇦🇺🇬🇧 (@CrayonANZ) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@zyzzyvamedia @Optus Been with @Internode on NBN for two years, never down, always fast. I guess it is some ISP and some location.

  • paypontAU Paypont (@paypontAU) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@wardenofmyheart @Optus There’s no explanation as what caused the issue, what percentage of customers are still affected. Optus are not sharing the full story on this.

  • MCooperAus Michael Cooper (@MCooperAus) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia leasing @Telstra copper with @Optus as a retailer is a perfect example of how three providers is not better than one. A lot of 👉👈 finger pointing as to who has the issue all the while the customer (me) with awful internet....#sortitout

  • neilmaddo10 Neil Maddison (@neilmaddo10) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Trying to get hooked up to @Optus nbn... Monday they said, now it won’t be. Ready for two weeks of arguing like last time. Customer service is not at all important to them.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • justmerri Merri (@justmerri) reported

Optus not only gifted someone my info, but my reception over the last week has been horrific. Worst telco BY FAR.

  • TorSamundsett Tor Samundsett (@TorSamundsett) reported

Seen a few tweeps asking why Optus had **** like Licence numbers. Cast your mind back to 2017 and the Metadata & Data retention laws & all of us in Cyber Sec shouting that it was a ******* bad idea. Anyway, we told you so.

  • 10NewsFirst 10 News First (@10NewsFirst) reported

"This serious incident creates a risk that the personal information of current and former mutual customers of the Australian Passport Office and Optus will be subjected to exploitation by criminals," Wong said.

  • Libster_VoteYes Libster (@Libster_VoteYes) reported

@RonniSalt @Optus It shouldn't be about communications & PR; it should be about ensuring the security of customer data.

  • banthebbc banthebbc (@banthebbc) reported

@westaustralian @katinacurtis Why? It’s the stupid federal government that requires telcos like @Optus to hold this sensitive KYC identifying information in the first place.

  • DonaldGrumble Donald Grumble (@DonaldGrumble) reported

@abcnews This is simply too shallow a response. Govt. needs to properly protect its citizens, not offer mealy-mouthed platitudes. A dedicated service that does not rely on Optus needs to be set up by govt. NOW. Then charge Optus for the cost of resolving the issue. Plus 30% if you like.

  • RoseGWhite R🌳🌾🧪🧫🔬 (@RoseGWhite) reported

Hey @Optus, how come you still haven't sent out a message to every customer about this data breach. Not good enough. Soon I'll be saying goodbye for good.

  • ChrisPGATsucks Chris Barrett (@ChrisPGATsucks) reported

@SkyNewsAust Albo is right Optus should be paying for ******** up

  • neilw101 Neil Wray (@neilw101) reported

@alifrance5 Optus should also bare all costs for any customer wanting to move to another carrier. What they have allowed is unforgivable.

  • Aitch_El Overlizard (@Aitch_El) reported

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Ive heard nothing from them, but i was a default customer 2.5 yrs ago when VirginMobile switched to Optus. Optus must have my details since the handover. Not a peep from #Optus.
