@Optus how come if I’m a prepay customer I can select a $20 international roaming data plan with 10gig over 14 days but if I’m on a plan I have to select a $10per day for 1 gig add on? Seems sorta cruddy for your plan based customers.

@MelbInvest @nyunggai @HelloMakkaPakka Yes & no. If you work for Optus but doing the praises of Telstra you're going to get sacked. In effect Kitching was sacked To fix it? Requires a referendum. Factions are funded by outside interests unions businesses, individuals with an agenda etc. That's hard to remove NEXT

@alsotheabyss @LaurenBeldi I felt the same about filling out those forms even before the Optus incident. It really wasn’t very clear how they used the information, how they stored it and where, who had access to it, and how long they keep it.

@Optus I'm ready to go elsewhere. I am 5 days with barely any phone service because you people decide to do upgrades in the middle of a pandemic where people are advised to stay home.

Is it an #optus tactic to make getting something fixed so difficult that customers just give up? I've had no nbn since 16th February and no one at #optus seems to care or want to help her the nbn working again. My son works from home. This is just not acceptable.

@Optus we've had no home broadband since this morning in Chapel Hill (Qld 4069), with the MyOptus check network status saying there is a problem and it is being investigated. Any news on the outcome of the investigation and when we will have our network and phone working again?

@ParamountPlusAU @lfc2379 Umm. Problem. Apple TV's don't have a web browser, how can I watch this game on my apple TV. Also, your excuse for lack of apple TV support is unfounded when I watch many other live sporting matches with other apps on Apple TV. 10play and Optus sports have no issues.

One thing I'm curious about is why Optus (or any service) needs to store drivers licence or passport ID once sighted. And why do they need to keep any data once a customer changes servers?
-
Greg Bergsma
(@gbergsma) reported
@_sara_jade_ @Optus Crap, not good. I don't have much confidence that they know what's going on. I tried to change my pw, link went to the rogue number, luckily I immediately asked for the pw reset to be sent by email, managed to lock it all down before they could get in. No interest from Optus

-
Del Sinistra
(@GistPolitix) reported
@CaraMia200 Banks don't operate that way. Same as banks won't email you with a link in the email to login to your account. If you do happen to come across a bank that genuinely does these things, drop them like a hot potato. They're cowboys. This is outside of any Optus factors.

@BridgeMuir I very much doubt that we will ever see the end of this. That data is worth Billions for many reasons, it’s why Optus collected it. Imagine apart from the personal details, now in the hands of Hackers but imaging the IP, they know the Optus customer base. Usage stats, demographics

@MarkBaileyMP @TMRQld Thanks to TMR for this practical help. I haven't been an Optus customer since 2020. Why are they allowed to store sensitive data indefinitely? There are laws re TFNs, but nothing for licenses, passports, Medicare or other sensitive IDs.

Kinda wish I was an Optus customer. I'm heavily in debt, overworked, constantly tired. If someone would like my identity, they are welcome to it. See if you can make a go of it. Good luck, buddy
