  • AlexJSmithy Alex Smith (@AlexJSmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra It has a yargi rooftop antenna. Installer says the issue is alignment of distant cells and jumping from one to other and dropping out. Have 4 bars on Optus.

  • Dr_Xiang_Li Xiang Li 李翔 (@Dr_Xiang_Li) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@martinalexsmith @TWBredy Jealous, locked in for another 6 month with this optus ADSL service...

  • brandonlung_ brandon (@brandonlung_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@lavosaurus Ooh that’s sick! Someone told me to complain about my wifi being shit (Optus as well) and they’ll give me free stuff, so maybe I do both and get all the benefits haha

  • Dr_Xiang_Li Xiang Li 李翔 (@Dr_Xiang_Li) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @TWBredy @martinalexsmith ...... OPTUS so slow

  • gb7004 greg bradley (@gb7004) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus Dear @Optus I havre tried and spent over 15 hours trying to sort this out, including your ‘help’ desk which does nothing, as you can see from the images all you people do is lie

  • DanielBox87 Daniel Box 🇬🇧🇦🇺 (@DanielBox87) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@falmouth_wolf Im watching on optus sport, they're just as biased towards city. Never get any credit do little old #wolves

  • hillyshoist Hilly73 (@hillyshoist) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

If your after some useless customer support look no further than #Apple and #optus another cracked screen and no assistance. Looks like #telstra and #Samsung will be the winners here

  • Tur71e Brett Turville (@Tur71e) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

  • AlexJSmithy Alex Smith (@AlexJSmithy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra Matthew, thanks for the offer but @Telstra mobile coverage is so poor at my house that extra data is not much use. In fact I have to rely on wificalling to use the mobile. Fortunately our other mobiles are on @Optus which has great coverage.

  • LemStar71 Lema Niumata Noel (@LemStar71) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

I’m so disappointed with your service tonight @Optus, chatted with 3 people who disconnected on me 3 times, I just called & the guy said he cldn’t access my details to call back in 2hrs. We haven’t been able to get connection. #nothappy

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia The problem is the techs that are sent won’t check the connection on the street. They change something internally for no good reason and report back that the fault is fixed which it is not. I go back to @Optus and the same process happens again.

  • brandonlung_ brandon (@brandonlung_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@lavosaurus Oh shit that’s decent! A while back I saw Optus doing a specia that was $40 for 80gb, so that’s what I’m realllly hoping for eventually. Also just realised my plan ends in October so your way might be able to happen sooner than later haha

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted to check the connection on the street. Farcical!

  • GregStonham GregStonham (@GregStonham) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@cathywilcox1 @Optus I hope they're a having a good hard look at themselves after loosing my phone 18 days ago, and refusing me a loan phone, refusing to suspend my network access charges and refusing to replace the original handset, which was still under warranty

  • parslow77 Lliam Parslow (@parslow77) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Watching Liverpool this morning on Optus Miss 12 walks down the hall waking from her slumber and spots the Nike Ad. “Look Dad!, it’s @samkerr1!!”

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted check the connection on the street. Farcical!

  • WhiplashUnited Mickey Dee (@WhiplashUnited) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus even when you send a new modem I have the same problems. This is just getting ridiculous now.

  • mycrouch Jason Crouch (@mycrouch) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus Bit hit and miss. If I turn airplane mode on and off it reconnects just fine. I’ve also reset my phones network settings. It’s happened a couple of times today. I’ll monitor it.

  • WhiplashUnited Mickey Dee (@WhiplashUnited) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Can’t even watch a five minute video because .@optus is useless. Worse still it’s NBN.I pay $85 month for a failing service. Rort.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • JasonCadee5 Jason Cadee (@JasonCadee5) reported

@PeterHooley12 @Optus @OptusSport How’s on top of that my internet has been in and out for 6 week. No change to my bill or anything other then a “sorry” for the outage.

  • JohnKerin10 John Kerin (@JohnKerin10) reported

@jeff_laycock @SamT57498755 A guy down my local said he heard a rumour that OPTUS has applied to run the Australian system if and when it is built

  • netsurfau Luke Robbie - Warts & All. (@netsurfau) reported

@KerryWitch ID. Generally, they photocopy them, & must later enter them into your customer record. Along with your other data, address, phone & DOB, that's how they ID you when you call. Optus had Zero security on the data stolen, & have no excuse for such a major failing.

  • BelindaJoy79 Bea, maker of ruckus 🏳️‍🌈✝️ (@BelindaJoy79) reported

Hey @Optus I have an idea. How about you make the next issue of our bills = $0. That will help make up for the cost of us needing to replace everything!

  • yousif_diana Diana ܕܝܵܢܐ✝️🇮🇶🇦🇺🦘 (@yousif_diana) reported

Why is Optus holding customer details years after they moved to another carrier??? Not acceptable Optus @Optus

  • ShazHaitch 🕯💧Shaz H 💉💉💉💉 (@ShazHaitch) reported

@domknight @Optus There was never a need to store them.

  • hutcho66 James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported

@johnb78 @domknight @Optus Or even design a system where the government does the identity check through an online service and issues an "telco ID" number for the telcos to store instead.

  • hutcho66 James Hutcheon (@hutcho66) reported

@johnb78 @domknight @Optus Just have the telcos submit the identity document number and the phone number to a secure government system. But then if that government system ****** up it would be the government and not Optus in the ****. Mind you they probably would have just covered it up.

  • tinbumesq Niko Laos (@tinbumesq) reported

Will anyone from @Optus go to gaol? My f'ing home network is locked down harder than your ESL call centre organisation. Why wasn't information encrypted and why was stored virtually publicly? Dead-set amateur hour. You ******* potatoes, you. #OptusHack #auspol #OptusDataBreach

  • minkatmouse minkatmouse (@minkatmouse) reported

@Caddy1943 @timburrowes That’s all very well if you are a customer still, many like me left years ago & I still went down with them, I could have called Optus as having **** management back then - they simply couldn’t fix an internet service issue. Could Not.
