Hi @Optus just got this message about ‘not returning my fetch box’. I have told you repeatedly over the last 12 months that my house burnt down and there is no fetch box. I have begged to speak with a real person with no luck. I’ll need confirmation by the end of the

  • twasink Robert Watkins (@twasink) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@haruki_zaemon @Optus I’ll try again when I upgrade my phone (which arrives in a couple of weeks). That will include shifting to a new 5G plan, which will hopefully fix the weirdness.

  • EthicalAdviser Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus @glendat45 My house burnt down 14 months ago and they charged me for not returning the fetch box. That burnt along with it. Impossible to get any service from them. Hope it gets sorted out soon for you.

  • nickshewring nick shewring (@nickshewring) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@JarradLawrence Did the data breach effect only current customers or anyone that’s been a @Optus customer over the years?

  • bryce_parker26 Bryce Parker (@bryce_parker26) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@TheSportsFreak @OptusStadium That’s really poor I did agree with your point about the WACA the only tests that should be played at Optus are Ashes and India They probably should have given perth a South African tests given the expat population as well

  • MattIsNE1 Matt (@MattIsNE1) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@TGUZ72 @Optus Well I have evidence as per screenshot and chat history that there is an issue which @Optus know about and they will compensate for number of days we are without service.

  • ShaneAusKiwi Shane Harris (@ShaneAusKiwi) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

This is the year I cancel everything. Foxtel's gone. Uber's gone. Doordash gone. Optus gone.

  • EthicalAdviser Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Hello again @Optus . I have been on the chat service 1 hr and 45 minutes and this is the most recent message ‘As per checked, there was a usage on it. May I know if this happened to one place? Or to other places?’ Do you deliberately make it difficult to solve problems?

  • EthicalAdviser Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

The Optus fellow told me to DM me the problem and give him ‘as much info as possible’. Hoo boy, he’s asking for it.

  • Matteris :Matt. (@Matteris) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@EVillainess @markrayfield2 @Jeremy_Kirk Better check the ACMA carrier legislation and then the audit requirements. 👍 Optus have failed to maintain customer privacy. Failed to secure the private data AND have failed to protect data IMO this was a deliberate act from cabal to force a cyber security event in the future.

  • phocks Joshua Byrd (@phocks) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

tbh private health insurance shouldn't even exist (neither should private telecommunications - looking at you optus) and should be shut down immediately as they've proven they can't be trusted with our data, but that's another story /rant over

  • EthicalAdviser Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

After telling the optus chat line that my house had burned down and that I had tried repeatedly to get the nbn cancelled (which I am still paying for), she asked me, and I kid you not, if I had tried turning it off and turning it back on again. I…I don’t know how to answer.

  • barryrutherford Barry Rutherford | Parkrun fan (@barryrutherford) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@AnitaHeiss @Optus I’ve had two emails confirming my data had been breached even though I haven’t been a customer since 2005

  • bryce_parker26 Bryce Parker (@bryce_parker26) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@TheSportsFreak @OptusStadium That’s really poor still think all test should be played in school holidays I did agree with your point about the WACA the only tests that should be played at Optus are Ashes and India They probably should have given perth a South African tests given the expat population

  • JamesCridland James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Yeahbutnaahh @Optus Optus informed me last week that my Australian passport number has been compromised. Narrator: James didn't have an Australian passport when he was an Optus customer. He is confused.

  • MattIsNE1 Matt (@MattIsNE1) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@TGUZ72 @Optus That’s one thing about hiring people to provide front line support when they are not adequately equipped to work through issues. Sometimes that will result in someone letting out more information than they should.

  • Team_LiLy MissLiLy (@Team_LiLy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

hey @newscomauHQ saw your article on @Optus about their incompetency and the hecking! They told me I wasn’t hacked and then a month later told me I was! Being trying to find a resolution and they are useless. Reach out if you want the story!

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • AngelaMBarra Angela Barra (@AngelaMBarra) reported

Once again I'm told by Optus rep that they have to speak to my husband. When I explain that I am authorised and there's a process, this is denied. Meanwhile, hubby is at work & once again I'm home & unable to resolve an NBN issue! @Optus The worst company to deal with!

  • awelder Andrew Elder (@awelder) reported

@Info_Aus The hostility was to the notion that if you paid for an online service, it wouldn't be on sold, and vice versa. Of course they have it both ways. Optus and Medibank customers didn't think their details would be on sold either

  • brettadam_23 Brett Graham 🌱 (@brettadam_23) reported

@mariewalsh18 @Ogregator I’m getting Optus and EnergyAustralia telling me to upgrade my security. No. You upgrade your security to protect me as a customer. That’s your job, not mine.

  • BirdieCaringtn BirdieCarrington (@BirdieCaringtn) reported

@janespeysdogs @Anthony_Klan I agree with the government on this Ransom payment is almost never the right thing to do The breaches should not have happened but Medibank has been far more responsible than Optus since

  • AngelaMBarra Angela Barra (@AngelaMBarra) reported

It's a bizarre situation @Optus hackers can get my data but as a customer I'm locked out. @SwillNation I don't give a F about Optus sports. This is untenable. Either you find a new provider or I will. Love your wife.

  • Sadeatsad B. (@Sadeatsad) reported

@Optus Hi. I can't get international calls to work on my phone package and I can't log in to contact customer services. It won't confirm its me and I'm trapped in a loop.

  • diming Diming (@diming) reported

@Anthony_Klan I’ve been a customer of both actually, quit Optus due to awful service months ago (still sure my data was stolen) and a customer of Medibank still. You, on the other hand, trying lessen the impact of Medibank negligence by pivoting to another hack. Talk about who’s whose PR 🤔

  • Ddel887 Crypto_dingo (@Ddel887) reported

I'm thinking the great reset may happen with a cyber attack. Australian media are pushing this agenda hard at the moment. First optus hack , then medicare, now banks having trouble with there systems hmmmm. Seems suss.

  • petercave Peter Cave (@petercave) reported

@Peter_F_Ryan @abcnews @Optus Let’s hope they’ve put aside a pot of money for the swingeing fines they deserve for treating customer’s and ex customer’s privacy with total disregard.

  • ashleighkatexx ash ❤️‍🔥 (@ashleighkatexx) reported

@kaatieee27 I did see someone say it last time with the Optus stuff. Comments like that don’t help at all
