-
Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus I’ve done all the checks. IView, etc. all work fine on the Fetch box. It’s the streaming channels that take ages to start and give streaming errors. Catch-up like BBC First are really bad and often fail to start a show, showing a streaming error. Looks like Fetch service prob.
-
womble (@DaveCox92490089) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@sydney_ev @anirbanmahanti Optus is not much better shit all round.
-
Twenny-Juanita. (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@ch1ch01 @Optus Yeah. I reported as well — and also raised it in live chat. Spoke with another person on Optus here and they also have the same issue (actually said it’s regular at this location)
-
Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.
-
ThatGirl (@itsOnlykhem) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandWth @Optus! What is up with the service today. It’s been lagging all day and it’s driving me insane. FIX IT!
-
Bryce Parker (@bryce_parker26) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@TheSportsFreak @OptusStadium That’s really poor still think all test should be played in school holidays I did agree with your point about the WACA the only tests that should be played at Optus are Ashes and India They probably should have given perth a South African tests given the expat population

-
Boris Osery (@BorisOsery) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@OptusNewsRoom I ordered a SIM card online on the 25/09/20. The Optus site says 3/5 business days delivery time. Optus can you tell me should your advertising be 30/50 business days delivery?? It’s the 12/10/20??? 🤬 WTF
-
Steve Putt (@EthicalAdviser) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandHi @Optus just got this message about ‘not returning my fetch box’. I have told you repeatedly over the last 12 months that my house burnt down and there is no fetch box. I have begged to speak with a real person with no luck. I’ll need confirmation by the end of the
-
Blake (@blake_andersson) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandAfter putting it off for months, walked into Optus and sorted the issues with my plan, got a better deal and a 12Pro. Procrastiwin?

Optus Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
A K (@AK22762976) reported@PaulBongiorno Oh woe is me ! Just purchase a sim card supported by Optus [this is redundancy contingency] when Telstra goes off line swap out their sim & slot in the backup & vice versa. Alteratively purchase a dual sim phone which allows you to switch between service providers
-
Kristen Holden (@kholden) reported@QBCCIntegrity @Optus The one time ever Optus didn’t go down.
-
René A (@Rene_AAG) reported@FranMooMoo This is not Starlink "beating" Optus. Instead, Starlink is providing the satellite infrastructure that allows Optus to offer a more comprehensive service to its customers, particularly those in remote areas who have historically been underserved by traditional mobile networks.
-
Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported@TimjboAU I will be more than interested if this has been issues related to routers in call centres, and what was the country of origin, I did recommend long ago to Optus the reasoning for not using a certain China Telco provider. I wonder if history has repeated?
-
Jeremy (@jez99) reportedWhat an absolute joke from Telstra today. Changed companies to them from Optus over their outage a few years ago and it still happens. Had no connection all morning.
-
thomas (@_pathfindertom_) reported@GenVavancee Given the time the outage happened it probably was some form of maintenance and a routing error happened. They happen all the time but much like Optus this was a big one.
-
Dr Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported'[CBA] suggested customers switch connections to an Optus network or local wi-fi source. '[Tyro] was aware some people were unable to connect to payment machines that operate on 4G networks'.
-
CSG (@MrCSG75) reported@SkyNewsAust quote: "Ms Wells previously attracted criticism for an international trip amid the fallout of a major triple-zero outage involving Optus".. and that travel rort thing that we are supposed to have forgotten about....
-
Hipstergeddon (@hipstergeddon) reportedTelstra is Down. Had to switch to the backup Optus sim. Yuk.
-
Humpy (@sirhumpyAU) reported@TweetTreet @tim_blee That's bullshit, devices EFTPOS and similar devices that run on 4G/5G can use other networks, and a bit of business continuity planning would have a backup network, even for a small business, like running down to Officeworks and buying an OPTUS prepaid SIM.
