Julian 🇦🇺 (@JKRLMazur) reported from Cessnock, New South Wales@Telstra Yep. Unfortunately I’m so disgusted with the way I’ve been treated as a customer will see me head to @optus Telstra high prices dont reflect the service you receive from staff when there is a problem. It’s disgraceful. By far the worst telco I have dealt with, ever.

Mat and Kita Clarke (@KitaandMat) reported from Maitland, New South Wales@OeterB @Fozbyte That's what I did! I'm an optus customer so it's included in my plan.

@carlagrossetti (@carlagrossetti) reported from Maitland, New South Wales@Optus Thanks Nard. What causes an outage that only affects webmail?

-
Daniel Cohen (@Fishman_Dan) reported@norfer40 @agarner Optus allowed an “API” - a doorway into their customer data without checking who was on the other side. API’s are used to connect data to systems all the time, that isn’t the issue. They approved one that shouldn’t have been - they opened the door. Definitely not a hack.
-
Andrew (@AndrewPatrick_) reported@Acting_Alone @Optus I’m talking specifically about frontline retail staff. Not contact centres. Dealing with aggressive people face to face is difficult to deal with. It’s not their fault their company made a royal **** up.
-
MGL🐭⚖️ (@Logistician_Mel) reported@MadsMelbourne @Optus Shocking you’re no longer a customer and yet the ID documents provided were still kept.
-
Christopher Prince (@zinifax) reported@SenSHenderson @AlboMP I remember the good old days when the ATO was hacked. That's right. The Optus breach occurred under your government. Oops... you were never in government.
-
DeeM ✨🚀 (@GMT10) reported@Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin pls reply with ur DOB personal email, phone number, address associated with your bank accounts, & the numbers of ur ID docs - drivers licence & passport will do. Oh and anything else that can ruin ur life. Thanks, one happy Optus customer x
-
James Cridland (@JamesCridland) reportedWhat’s “nice” about the @optus hack is that, as a past but not present customer, there’s no way for me to get in touch to ask for what personal data they have: they require me to use their chat service which isn’t available to lapsed customers (even though I can still log in).
-
Obbo (@mrobbo56) reported@James_Glohe @Optus I’m an Optus customer 🪦 Lawsuit coming soon? 🤔
-
Shaun Ferris (@ShaunFerrisOz) reported@AndrewBGreene The @optus PR and legal machine is in damage control. Divert blame, withhold information, ride out the media cycle. Keep on them @AndrewBGreene, this #OptusDataBreach will have a long tail, and will play out over years.
-
Turquoise Bear (@turquoisebbear) reported@ClareONeilMP Optus needs to pay for ongoing credit report monitoring for all affected customers. And clearly set out the dispute resolution and compensation process for any loss. And frankly, people need a direct right of action for privacy breaches as has been recommended but not legislated.

Andrew (@AndrewPatrick_) reportedAttention @Optus customers. You have every right to be angry. I am quite angry as an ex customer who may have had data compromised. But remember, retail staff are not at fault for this failure. Do not take your anger out on them, they don’t deserve it. #OptusDataBreach
