@Telstra Yep. Unfortunately I’m so disgusted with the way I’ve been treated as a customer will see me head to @optus Telstra high prices dont reflect the service you receive from staff when there is a problem. It’s disgraceful. By far the worst telco I have dealt with, ever.

@AusGroucho @Optus They used to have to keep all customer data for a minimum of seven years... This might be longer since the new metadata laws.

@NBN_Australia I have on-going outages every month in an inner metro Sydney suburb. Apparently "the NBN is doing work in my area", EVERY month for 4 years, but it never actually gets fixed, nor ever upgraded 🤡 Between Optus and NBN - no answers, just "sorry about that, nothing we can do"

@AAPNewswire @osbornep #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach Was the customer private data encrypted? Optus CEO is reported as saying that it was encrypted. So how is the data visible? Was there only one person/group that accessed the API? If openly accessible it's likely there were multiple parties.

Vicroads has a dedicated form now so that Optus clients who were affected by the data breach request to have their Victorian driver licence record flagged and protected on the Victorian and national licence databases and the Australian Government's document verification service.

@lenoretaylor Kind of messed up that not 1 'journalist' discussing the troubling fact that Optus, an essential service, is owned by an authoritarian foreign government. Absolutely insane that they can own it, but our gov can't.

@Optus When we call to disconnect are we being offered 12 months free mobile/NBN/landline/Fetch ? Or are we better off just calling another service provider & switch!

Why were optus holding onto personal info of past optus customers ? I bought an optus card years ago on a visit to Australia from my OS base ,had the sim for 1 week, now years later optus send a letter saying blah blah ,why if no longer a customer were they holding info🤔

@BaxterPeterba @VicRoads @BenCarrollMP We have the physical license. Plus other ID. Seriously dude are you being contrary for the sake of it. It's not rocket science. If you have a Vic license and you're an Optus customer caught up in the hack - change it.

@favfavalore Optus. They tried to destroy Brisbane in the 90s with a rollout of hideous lines hanging low and causing losses of trees. BCC couldnt stop them. Complaint didnt stop them. Their ugly boxes, now defunct, adorn the walls of unit blocks. Now this!
