-
M (@imboudee) reported@Justme136160 @robb_j_m To be fair, David is not wrong. Telcos will use the NBN infrastructure as they see fit. It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.
-
Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedNow tweeting from my lab machine again with very basic Optus 5G internet. Will have to upload video and stuff from home, but otherwise I'm kinda functional again. No idea when NBN/Telstra will restore the connection, it's been 3 days already so I assume it's very bad. Today is Sunday and tomorrow is another public holiday.
-
StainlessSteelMan (@Rowen72600346) reported@mark16pg It was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to batteries, turns out batteries came down in price, nbn was supposed to do the same with internet and starlink rendered it useless as well.
-
jagdtigger (@panzer_VI) reported@eevblog If that is the mobile plan you bought, TBH it was to be expected. Every NBN customer in that same are is looking for an easy temporary solution......
-
Wyatt O'Shea (@Wyatt1I7) reported@villaminium @JordanRey98 @whooithVT I've already got multiple good routers so I don't need the eero but it's cool that it's a free addon. Idk about peak speed being any different as I've never not gotten max speed out of my fiber nbn connections (minus overheads) so about 950mbps+ at all hours of the day or night.
-
Caron Derbe (@DerbeCaron54429) reported@NBN_Australia How much longer for this outage to be fixed i live in postcode are 2153
-
Weird Uncle Bob (@julerin8) reported@DavePhippen After 8 calls totalling 12 hours to NBN co and Telstra I found the magic key: Just say "Ombudsman" Service person arrived the next day and a new modem the same week.
-
Antking66 (@Antking1966) reported@robb_j_m Not only that the NBN unbelievably has never made a profit
-
Sharon Dresser (@DresserC33944) reported@dpoddolphinpro @Amazonleo @Starlink but ryan starlink is actually useable across most of the globe, leo isnt...and its latency is so slow is only good for wathcing the NSF streams , yeah its still faster than the NBN here in Australia with our crappy fibre to the node than four core coppeer to the home,

Roofing and Stuff (@RoofingAust) reported@DrewPavlou Look past high speed rail Drew. The future is self driving cars. We should be making the roads better and safer. Throwing money at rail now is like throwing money at nbn for remote Australians 10 years ago. Waste of money when starlink fixed the problem.
