@deniseshrivell Tas got first NBN then Libs got in. They let Turnbull get away with lie and wreck it. They canned the digital hubs program, Medicare Locals, and dumped community providers of disability support services in favour of larger private operators cashing in.

FFS, how dishonest (or maybe stupid) can a candidate be. To claim on one hand Labor did nothing for Tas jobs 5 seconds after saying they wasted money on the #NBN. @kevinmorgantas

@andrew_blow @wendy_harmer @MikeCarlton01 @sarahgerathy Senate estimates covers a lot of the boring mundane stuff that affects everyone. The problem is that some hearings are timed to avoid much journalistic scrutiny (NBN used to be on late at night, routinely) or there is so much happening at same time that some issues get neglected.

@bigbadave @mavetju @BLShiv @NickRossTech Exactly, and the original NBN was going to solve their problems, be it on domestic level of service or business. I was paying $65 a month while neighbouring businesses were paying T $200 month. They could not use eftpos & phone at same time. I could do both + stream radio & TV

@anwyn Truth is, there's not a lot that ISPs can do for NBN *speed*, but there's a ton they can do for service. Having a call centre in Australia, working for the same company, goes a long way.

@NBN_Australia Nbn guy came yesterday, said its a nbn line fault, how long will this take to fix, its 2022 we need wifi.

@SpinTelAU my NBN is down. Victoria. Any news please? #spintel

  • okyeahrighto

What not "keeping the lights on" here in Qld tonight means When the power goes out we lose communication - NBN goes down, mobile network collapses due to demand and in some places you can't even flush the dunny coz they're hooked up to tank water and require a pressure pump 😶

  • Skoeman74
    Ross Jackson (@Skoeman74) reported

@NBN_Australia The problem has always been your infrastructure. Nothing my provider can do. They've got to use what they've been given. Which is Fixed Wireless. It's not fit for purpose.

  • marble_wraith
    Matthew Rath (@marble_wraith) reported

@Matt_Tulk It's the bloody NBN all over again. Experts and people with experience yelling, we need to move on this and do it like this. LNP: Nah we'll just buy 6 million miles of copper wiring and a worthless HFC network. 10 years go by. LNP: Oops.

I think the workers up and down my street this week have been installing NBN fibre!

  • Liseylou12
    Lisa L (@Liseylou12) reported

@RoadknightThe Its actually the NBN not Telstra. They own the network which clearly looks like it needs upgrading

  • Sinowhisperer
    荒木 飛呂彦 (@Sinowhisperer) reported

@ShoebridgeMLC You know what, end up will be like NBN. Cost double for dinosaur tech, no improvement, delay, blow out, then need to spend double to put in the original plan. To fix this, ICAC all existing stack holders involved and start again.

  • GobsmackedAus
    Gobsmacked (@GobsmackedAus) reported

@tinettitv @C73300833Clark @knnott Imagine if comm bank and telstra were still in govt hands. NBN would of never had to happen as all that work would of been done anyway. Banks would have to compete with a govt guided bank. We have been screwed by successive LNP govts. Privatisation never good for the people.
