Elderly people often have overdue accounts, money problems or memory problems so if it's overdue one time and happens again you leave them vulnerable to illness and other emergencies? Disgusting.

b (@_benny4) reported@chdyctt I cancelled a contract with Optus 10 years ago due to their relocated contact centre. Was awful, but Telstra ended being cheaper believe it or not. In saying that, communications need to be explained easy & not written by AI and signed off.

While the rest of the world was investing in ADSL, cable, fibre and other technologies to keep pace with the rapidly evolving internet, Telstra seemed remarkably content with the old model and the outrageous margins it could extract from telephone calls. Eventually, the writing was on the wall and technology forced the issue. Had Telstra remained a complacent, publicly managed monopoly, thereโs every chance weโd still be listening to the soothing tones of a dial-up modem while waiting for a webpage to load. You have a lot to learn... son!
