@Telstra Well, considering that I've lived here over a decade and it hasn't improved, don't rush to get a reliable network during a pandemic by all means. The key word is 'reliable' which is not the same as coverage.

@Telstra mob service, it's always been weak on the main business street the tower(which I'm guessing is the only one) overlooks the town..to my knowledge there are no repeaters extending the signal. Tas gov states they quire check-in with the app, service at businesses s not consistent.

@Telstra, remember when restricting a customer's service meant they could still receive calls and texts until they paid their bill? Yeah, thanks for taking away that tiny bit of mercy during a pandemic. Great job.

@trevorlong It will be a belated attempt to shut things down , the train had left the station 3 weeks ago. BTW Trevor do you know if at anytime during this they have sought tracking data from ie Telstra etc , Google or Apple. I know not everyone has a mobile but surely it would have helped.

@LindaMelisande Most mobile plans have some data, scanning logins uses bugger all. I pay Aldi (Telstra network) $30 per month. It comes with 3gb of data and unused data accumulates so I currently have enough data to watch a movie every day for a month. Check out the offers.

@PhilWhitp4 @Telstra I’m more surprised you need directions to get home from Hamilton? Telstra Coverage map of the area is a poor indication of service, countless drop outs in so called areas of coverage.
