    The Libertarian Party believes in reducing government involvement in the economy. We would Reduce ATO staff by at least half over 5 years because flat tax rates will require less compliance staff, and it is essential to reduce the possibility of the tax system regrowing; similarly, scale back agencies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Competition and Consumer Commissioner and the laws they administer; and sell government business enterprises, including the NBN, ABC, SBS, and the Future Fund, and use the proceeds to pay down debt.     @WSWanderingEels @ardmorelad Yep Aus govt also own the NBN network who mainly use the Telstra network, amongst other smaller players. Everyone gets a drink

    @DavePhippen After 8 calls totalling 12 hours to NBN co and Telstra I found the magic key: Just say "Ombudsman" Service person arrived the next day and a new modem the same week.

    @GregMarSci I assume you are referring to those educated under the Gillard national curriculum. Is there any part of government that has not been ****** up by Labor? What is worse is a LNP too cowardly to fix ****-shows like Education, NDIS, NBN, Indigenous affairs.....the list just goes on.

    @tzk1810 Idiots in the comments flexing their 500mbs not realising that this is FTTN which was a half-assed non solution to the NBN. If we went with the original plan we’d all be on gigabit fibre by now

    @MarkoMatvikov Even worse: Labor writes new laws to force super to invest in “building back Aus” like Melb-Syd high speed rail or upgrading NBN. When competition policy allowing global carriers to compete on the Melb-Sydney flight would drive costs down & Starlink is outcompeting NBN today.

    The place mum & i were in we had wifi & it kept not working so i had @NBN_Australia imstalled, the neighbour complained she had no internet then complained the nbn was supposed to be for both of us but it wasnt. After being removed she told me its ok to stay with her & she didnt>

    This is the argument for the #NBN few predicted: 1) Spend lots of money to build a national broadband network. 2) Spend even more money to make it Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by default. 3) Private competitor pops up and offers comparable service, in more geographies, with zero Australian govt money. ....But where some are now (4a) Private competitor drives out public investment (4b) Private competitor CEO becomes hyper-partisan & divisive AND THEN (4c) They decide to use almost-monopoly power to hold citizens hostage with price increases. Kevin07 may have saved us, even if he didn't know it at the time.

    A pity I didn't see how tonight's Dalts report played out on NBN News, would've been rather funny if Natasha Beyersdorf (who I think may have even worked alongside Kevin at Prime Tamworth, but I'm not 100% sure of that) made a "I think I've seen Kevin on another network" quip! 😜

    @Ben_Davison1 I paid for my own education and the government never sent me a fully trained employee. The rule of law…. Yes men are women in law. Roads, Rails, NBN (massive cost) gas water bla bla - we pay for that… it didn’t magically appear without our tax funds, we also pay continue to pay for this and budget blowouts. Civil society - do you live in Melbourne?
