    @OMGTheMess Exactly. Not investing in Australia for 11 years now, since the NBN policy disaster basically, has never been so beneficial for my overseas company. The company made profit the moment I gave NBN Co and TPG/AAPT the flick. Never have seen consumers been ripped off collectively with the silent approval of a regulator.

    @craigkellyAFEE i actually thought it would of been way more than that, not that i like the bloke but for once his budget hasn't blown to to NBN porportions. I'm trying to get the AI to work out how many Starlink Service Networks to cover Australia. The slowest speed availiable 100Mbps, $75, UNLIMITED. To basically run a fishing line size string from a pit to the home, bolt on 2 Boxes, connect the fishing wire and bobs your uncle.. So if the Blowout was 10 or 14 Billion on a fishing wire size cable, can you image the shitshow it will be on the blowout to run all the transmission for their NOT so green energy. Lets hope we don't have to look at their muppet heads in a ocuple of yearsd, bloodty trainwrecks they are

    @Adam_and_EVs I switched to starlink. NBN in australia was crap it kept disconnecting. Couldnt Game. Starlink ( mini dish even ) has been great cost the same, better service and that in a major city.

    @DAKKADAKKA1 This is literally the reason why Huawei was banned from even bidding on doing the NBN and 5G network in Australia, because Chinese tech is spy tech.

    ******* perfect. Set up some remote spot instances to distribute some compute. Set up Claude to monitor and tear down when finished. Quick health probe to make sure everything is fine, about to log off for the night and NBN outage hits immediately. Could not be worse timing

    @TopherField Having previously worked for both Telstra and NBN, I can say NBN satellite and wireless are complete garbage, Starlink smashes it. NBN fibre is excellent though and speeds are world comparable. Still, many Aussies pick the cheapest slow plans which reduces our world rankings

    OR they could say? Starlink is the same OR cheaper and gives better service! while our sat service costs a LOT for lousy speeds and is ****** if? it works at all Elon Musk cashes in on Australia’s NBN fail Bush families are being forced to pay the world’s richest man for basic phone coverage, as Australia’s bungled NBN rollout leaves dangerous black spots across the regions.     @NBN_Australia Once again our useless service is dropping out. Thanks to the destructive & stupid @hontonyabbott (NOT Hon.) & complicit @turnbullmalcolm some of us are stuck with the useless satellite service. Years of promises of fixed wireless or something but … NOTHING

    @shaunacohn @Starlink If there is no service in your area, it’s likely due to development, outage or missing database record. Check the NBN Rollout Map on their website. Verify your address. Your address may be missing. There is widespread NBN coverage on Gold Coast. Check their website.
