@Telstra No. The trouble started as soon as I hooked up the new router & nbn box & I rang a number as instructed in the direction booklet. Offered a techno for next week 17 Mar. Texted not coming until 26. Rang 3 support numbers & told 3 difference things. Gave up.

@HitsvilleOZ @dlew919 @Telstra They expect you to be a technician when you get stuck on a chat line for days because the robot doesn't understand the simple problem.

@Telstra Hey Kunal Well your business chat service gave up & just lied to get rid of me! What next?? 2 cans & some string? @PaulFletcherMP can I get broad brand string? A rope perhaps? @Telstra #auspol

@jriewolod @Telstra You judge a company by the way in which they handle problems. It looks like Telstra don’t pass the test. But certainly worth pursuing.

@jriewolod @Telstra J have you got a solution for her aged care? My 95 yr old mother in law is currently paying $45 a month for a mobile plan because they no longer run landlines in the facility. She is deaf & bed bound & uses zero data. @Telstra

Aiden Howlett (@AidenHowlett) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales
@jriewolod @Telstra Seriously - check with your grandparents, make sure they're not paying more than they should. A mesh wifi router is less than $200 for a pair now, and many homes get a modem from NBNCo anyway - all you need is the router, not an overpriced solution from Telstra.

Kath Leahy (@kath_leahy) reported
@jriewolod @Telstra How shocking! Why did they privatise that service (Telecom?) in the first place? Take that story to ABC 7.30 because it truly will be the tip of the iceberg and it goes to the heart of the problem of utilities and essential services being sold off. Dumb Oz.

Lexi Wilde (@_wildeone) reported
@jriewolod @Telstra Telstra is the WORST!
-
EssJayAych (@HelloEssJay) reported
@jriewolod @Telstra The dispute went on for months and I ultimately refused to pay the charges (I knew they were cooked!) but then they passed it over to a credit agency and I was still left with the account and ongoing dent in credit history. They are simply the worst!
-
Aiden Howlett (@AidenHowlett) reported
@jriewolod @Telstra Why anyone continues to sign up to Telstra NBN and home phone is beyond me. There's no option to opt out of a modem many don't need, the mesh wifi booster is overpriced, the service is the worst, oh did I mention there's no discount once you've bought the modem? Thieves.

@jriewolod @Telstra That must be a consumer complaint issue surely. If she was paying for something they weren't providing?
