    @Telstra @andy_penn So, the best option is to be persistent. Finally found someone willing to help. Ten minutes later the problem was sorted. But that didn’t get me back the hours I’ve spent talking to Indian call centres.

    @Telstra service is hopeless. FOUR MONTHS and I STILL don’t have my work phone moved across to me after being told it was done. UNBELIEVABLE. I should move back to @VodafoneAU - their signal wasn’t great, but they looked after me.

    Good service from Telstra. Lightning strike fried our NBN box on Saturday afternoon, called Telstra who booked a technician to replace it this morning. He’s just been, all sorted.

    @Telstra please confirm here the only way one can pay is beforehand & not bpay after a statement. Your staff use Netflix as a comparison but a phone & data service is completely unlike an entertainment subscription. It’s a false equivalent that is designed to deceive. #cxfail

    @slsandpet With Optus for 10 years. When I moved, I asked them to connect me at the new place. No, they said, we have no service there. Telstra came, the tech pointed and said “that’s an Optus box there”. I was assured that emails would continue for 3 months. Account deleted in 24 hours.

    @ArealHughes I am being billed for a Telstra account that does not exist. How much am I billed? Nothing. It does not exist, so there is no service. But the idiots at Telstra dutifully bill me every month. I have been into their shop 4 times trying to kill this account.

    NEWS: Telstra and TPG push Australian government for competitive spectrum auctions despite SpaceX warning Australian mobile carriers Telstra and TPG Telecom have urged the government to go ahead with open, competitive auctions for spectrum licences used for mobile and satellite mobile services, even after SpaceX warned it would withhold Starlink satellite mobile service in Australia if it isn’t given priority access to key wireless spectrum. SpaceX has made it clear that its satellite-to-mobile network (Starlink Direct to Cell) needs guaranteed access to Australia’s wireless airwaves to launch its full services — including voice and data for phones directly from satellites. But Telstra and TPG argue that giving one provider priority access risks limiting competition and could lock in high prices for consumers. A TPG spokesperson said competitive auctions are important because market concentration is a real risk if policy settings favour a single operator. They stressed Australia should encourage multiple satellite providers and business models, not entrench dominance by any one company, whether traditional mobile or satellite-based. Telstra and TPG’s stance comes amid broader debate about how Australia will manage spectrum — a critical resource that carries all mobile voice, text and data traffic. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has been consulting on future spectrum licences and how to allocate them fairly as older licences expire and new services are developed.     @BrowntownBrew @robb_j_m Some people paid for full fibre to afterward be told connection in that area is still to direct to node & were in a dead spot. Telstra occasionally do a few upgrades but it never really fixes anything. Its a big country, we don't all live in the city.
