Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Point Talburpin and nearby locations:

  • ValleyBrian We’re NOT “all in this together” (@ValleyBrian) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@VodafoneAU I just wanted to cancel my Vodafone NBN service 😰😰. So far I’ve spent 1 hour 40 mins chatting to Vodafone staff (it’s impossible to call them during the pandemic). It was all agreed today. Tonight I get a bill indicating the service is not cancelled. WTF!!

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra have been trying to speak to a human for over a month to get NBN installed and wow 1000 messages “like texting a friend” what a joke! 1 month of circles! This is the worst customer service experience EVER!! #whereismynbn

  • jerrybr15619298 Craig Acret (@jerrybr15619298) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra terrible customer service. Waiting on NBN...people in my street are now connected with other providers..messages 6 hours via app and no reply...

  • damienpbuckley Damien Buckley 🇦🇺🇬🇧 (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Almost as shocked at this as how **** the NBN turned out to be #notshocked

  • Guesty22 Matt Guest (@Guesty22) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Been working from home for weeks and today is the first connectivity issues I’ve had. WiFi has gone completely. Fair play to @Telstra @NBN_Australia they’re on the case!

  • iambenslater iambenslater (@iambenslater) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@AKtech2021 @Telstra Can’t :-( Only have the Telstra Cable NBN Service in our area :-( sucks.

  • heykitarei 🌈 🎀 𝕜𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕚 (@heykitarei) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

My NBN is down and Vodafone won't pick up 😭. It's ******* Friday, this is not how I wanted to start my weekend.

  • damienpbuckley Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@JimRHoughton *******. It’s like the 70’s all over again. The only reason they’re putting nuclear forward as an option is because it will buy the coal industry another 10-15 years while they build a reactor. Then they’ll have to go renewables anyway. It’s the friggin NBN redux

  • jerrybr15619298 Craig Acret (@jerrybr15619298) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia Think it’s more a Telstra issue as it’s been 15 days with the nbn devices on hold in their warehouse. Thanks for your reply though.

  • shaun_dorney Shaun Dorney (@shaun_dorney) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@iallikat @Patrick51112869 @MorpheusBeing Their crap NBN is already halfway there 😂😂

  • Brentus88 Brent 🤜🏻🤛🏾 Davidson (@Brentus88) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Aaaand the cycle starts again. @telstra visited, confirmed it was an @NBN_Australia issue & took detailed notes & photos of speed tests which rule out modem issue. Said I’d need an NBN tech visit. So instead today, naturally, I get a text from Telstra saying all is fixed.

  • damienpbuckley Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@jdaalder No for weeks on and off. Twitter especially but certain websites. Tv streaming is fine which suggests this may be an NBN traffic priority issue

  • lucky_rae Rae (@lucky_rae) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Dodo is slow NBN has their moment's

  • littleredwrites Melanie (@littleredwrites) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @Telstra @NBN_Australia outage in 4304 QLD.

  • Cpt_CBRZY CBRZY (@Cpt_CBRZY) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia has been non existent today. Internet drops every 15 minutes or so and sometimes stays down for 10 minutes. Infuriating to say the least

  • damienpbuckley Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@jdaalder I’ve been seeing this weirdness too. Slow or no loading on wifi - so Telstra over NBN HFC. Turn off wifi - kick to Telstra 4G, all good…

  • littleredwrites Melanie (@littleredwrites) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Oh apparently it’s a nationwide NBN issue. Hooray.

  • adibvun Tokyo (@adibvun) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia damn man, thought u were suppose to be stable and fast. Cost more but poor connection 😕

  • mr_mouse Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.

  • JohnAFlood John Flood (@JohnAFlood) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

A friend of mine who teaches at Griffith has been told her NBN is down for 2 days. Teaching and research up the spout. Of all the idiotic decisions @TurnbullMalcom took, screwing up the deployment of Australia’s internet was one of the biggest. Truly awful

NBN Issues Reports

  • mandy_jolly Mandy J (@mandy_jolly) reported

How many times do I have to reach out before you will answer me in relation to the INCIDENT NUMBER not the reference number. You must think I am an idiot!!! @NBN_Australia

  • mipearson Michael Pearson (@mipearson) reported

@frconil Yep, that was a big motivator for me going ABB for NBN. Not the cheapest but every time there’s been problems they’ve been excellent. When I cancelled my Internode, the tech went “wow; that’s a short account number”. I think I’d been a customer since he was in primary school ;)

  • Stevelongy1 Steve Longman (@Stevelongy1) reported

@Rascalian1 @juliasilvertop @tanya_plibersek Yes same with the Global Financial Crisis ! But Labor kept it under control No Recession ! and a lot less debt. for Australians ! and Labors NBN **** all over this slow *** crap we have with the Loony Nutta Partys fibre to the Node ? and it cost us a lot more for the slowest ?

  • BelongAU Belong (@BelongAU) reported

@XinlinLi6 Hey, Xinlin 👋 If the address is incorrect, then we need to withdraw the order and place a new one 👍 Unfortunately nbn won't allow us to cancel appointments if it's within 48hrs of the time the tech is meant to arrive (so we couldn't prevent them from showing up today 😥) -Dave

  • JonDeeOz JON DEE (JonDee.com) (@JonDeeOz) reported

@lotusgav @elonmusk @SpaceXStarlink The hardware costs A$709, plus $100 shipping and handling, with the monthly internet service priced at $139.00 - it currently has no data limit. I got tired of waiting for an NBN upgrade so I will use this until we have proper high speed to the kerb NBN.

  • mandy_jolly Mandy J (@mandy_jolly) reported

@NBN_Australia Did you get the incident number? Or are you going to stuff me around with Telstra AGAIN???

  • ronsondalby 😷💧Ron Dalby 🇦🇺 🦘💉💉🏳️‍🌈 Ⓥ 🐀😷 (@ronsondalby) reported

@NBN_Australia @inframagoz How about replacing FTTN with FTTP ASAP? And while we're here why do FTTN users pay the same price for the substandard service as do FTTP users.

  • Ollie_Bun Ollie (@Ollie_Bun) reported

@lathiat @decryption My reading was more that NBN should be ashamed that a satellite service could be a reasonable competitor to their metro fixed line services in the first place.

  • ChrisMOConnor 💧🌾FeedMeRhubarb (@ChrisMOConnor) reported

@David_M_Green Ah… they did give 1/2 billion dollars to a mate to fix the Great Barrier Reef, we can get cheap marmite from the UK trade deal, @Barnaby_Joyce was a $600k drought envoy texter, the NBN is buffering… So, yeah, nothing

  • SunflowersChai Michelle (@SunflowersChai) reported

@SenatorJordon I think you need to tackle Telstra & their disgusting practices of suspending ALL services with no warning. Happened to me on Monday. Only managed to get my mobile back, NBN/landline still down. Rep to Ombudsman. Inexcusable & essential for telehealth, food etc.
