@NBN_Australia After years of delays my street was scheduled for March. I've never had Foxtel so mine got moved out to May, and then tonight whilst contractors are doing nightwork it moves out another year. I'm looking for an actual answer please.

@JamesPinnell I never plugged mine in, it only ever had telemarketers, and now I’m on NBN, I’d need to buy a compatible handset, just to get called by telemarketers.

@bongrrjr @NBN_Australia Frustrating is only half of it. From what I hear from locals in our area who already have it. They are not to happy either. With the amount of problems they have with the net. We might be better off without it.

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The LNP have butchered the NBN and they continue to avoid recognising or supporting the videogame industry as part of the country's vibrant screen industry mix. If only we used coal I'm sure we'd have their unwavering support and tax breaks aplenty.

@Telstra have throttled our backup 4G internet, which we have been using while we wait 4 months to get NBN installed... We can barely use the internet - can’t even FaceTime with loved ones 😞. Fortunately I have an open complaint with the ombudsman. Disgraceful. Cc @ACCAN_AU

@abc730 @geoff__thompson 10 years into the NBN's life and right now the reason I can't get it is because unlike my neighbours I never gave Murdoch any money by subscribing to Foxtel. It's ludicrous.

@alexbhturnbull The NBN is sad rubbish unless you got it as FTTP but the fast rail is a great idea and I'd love to see it go ahead. Rail travel fast or slow is my first choice. The Southern Aurora was the way I always travelled from Syd/Mel/Syd .Should never have stopped it.

.@JakeSchoermer lists key issues as climate change, transparency, NBN. Highlights zipline as a big @QldGreens @mcberkman win. No mention of housing affordability policy - although I'm going to guess most of the Ryan candidates' forum audience owns homes. #auspol

Sadly that didn't happen. #auspol

@RoadknightThe @1nfect3d I used to have to rely on an Optus wireless device. It used 4G also, and overall speed was entirely dependent how busy the district was (New Farm, inner city Brisbane) I've got Aussie NBN now, great local service, 600-900 mbs on most hours of the day, for $145 per month.

@Bedeapk Look I don’t have a huge problem with the NBN, it’s certainly not the worst 50b the government’s ever spent. But pretending it had long term economic viability was delusional. I recall at the time that people were warning 5G & satellite wireless would do precisely this

@KenelmTonkin To late to shut-down now, Australian tax payers have already lost $55b on this abhorrent system, it should never have happen, most certainly not in it iteration now. 20+ years in this game now, and these days I am dedicated to building superior networks and taking the NBN on!

@RHIIINOO_TV @Telstra @launtel. They're Aus wide these days and honestly the only company I've never had an issue with. Ample heads up for down time if works taking place and when I had severe NBN issues, they were onto it every day for over a month until it was fixed. Best ISP I've ever used.

Sulphurcocky

The NBN should never be sold and should be pay off more slowly & while it should not make a loss, the cost for domestic usage is too high - claims it does not charge a line fee are FALSE in that it does not have a *separate* line fee but bundles the fee into the service cost.

"...“The company was backed by the previous govt. that wanted to get its money back from its investment in the #NBN,” Mr Budde told TND. “As the costs of building the NBN have blown out enormously, it is basically the broadband users who are paying the price for bad policy.”..."
