@robb_j_m I was that happy with the FTTN NBN I had I went with Starlink when it was available in my area in November 2021. I know I can now get FTTP , but I put up with an ordinary service for for a long time and canโ€™t be bothered changing.

@THATS_RIGHT_YA @robb_j_m That download ping is faulty. Should be more like 20. Could be your computer, NIC, browser, or modem/router (and its settings). If you are with TPG you can log into your account and do an NBN test, which will check the line, and they'll contact you if there's a problem.

@eevblog I have both, NBN service stability is far less than Starlink's, so it is my backup. I could probably push traffic through both, did that with Telstra and Optus cable modems back in the day, but Starlink is so fast I haven't needed to bother.

@TimWilsonMP Lets think: ICAC??, No cuts to ABC/SBS, NBN faster cheaper?? You lot are up to ears in it. The broken promise is at best 25% as it only applies to new builds and you can take the old idea too. Get off the BS cigar mate

@robb_j_m abandoned nbn fixed wireless service, so many outages, so many years paying for speeds they could not deliver, local shop could not run eftpos over it, even on a business plan. i'm on starlink now, stable, fast and only $9 a month more than nbn for 4 times the speed.

@MrKRudd @AsiaSociety @AsiaSocietyJP 200 billion for nbn that is useless and no one uses. Iv been using mobile network for 15 years for data. Faster and cheaper than nbn. And now starlink which is even faster and unlimited fast data for $69 pm. Labor have mortgaged your kids future for votes. Frauds and corrupted

@osborne_sam @robb_j_m Not your reply. Weirdos be replying to me, then blocking me before I can even reply. What in the actual ****? Semantics. I donโ€™t need NBN. Or any kind of home wifi service. My mobile data suffices.

@ItsMissShorty @osborne_sam @robb_j_m What you said is not controversial. Weโ€™re trying to understand what you mean by โ€œwifiโ€ being unnecessary. Itโ€™s ambiguous. I think you mean NBN Fixed Wireless. Or perhaps 4G/5G telco service. Or Starlink. Or even connecting to your neighbourโ€™s wifi network. ๐Ÿคท

@eevblog @MichaelSmicqfw Really? I think that was only in the context of your NBN being down for a week... Starlink (or any satellite internet) really isn't useful in a city like Sydney, and when lots of people insist on using it there it will only get more and more expensive. It is for rural areas.
