daniel (@daniel647543) reported@techAU @robb_j_m It didn't work for everyone. I'm 1.5km by road from my exchange and yet everyone here has ****** wireless NBN, which manages to be both more expensive and slower than Starlink, with somehow higher pings than sending a signal to space and back. Everyone has Starlink here now.

Stew Harris (@sjharris) reportedHey @Aussie_BB, why have you charged me today for a cancelled NBN service????

Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported@WaveTheoryUK @robb_j_m Hopefully your area will be enabled for the free fibre upgrade and you'll actually get the proper nbn rather than the crap LNP rolled out.
-
M (@imboudee) reported@Justme136160 @robb_j_m To be fair, David is not wrong. Telcos will use the NBN infrastructure as they see fit. It’s cheaper to pay to use the NBN infrastructure that is already there than to lay down their own fibre. In fact, telcos like Optus and Telstra are already NBN providers.

Arron (@Arronkt) reported@robb_j_m I was that happy with the FTTN NBN I had I went with Starlink when it was available in my area in November 2021. I know I can now get FTTP , but I put up with an ordinary service for for a long time and can’t be bothered changing.

Aldis Ozols 🇦🇺 Official Source (@ozols_aldis) reported@Hector_Herrick @Antiwoke7777 @OMGTheMess We had problems with our fibre-to-the curb NBN. their tech discovered that our old copper line was still connected to the exchange, and that was interfering with the copper line from the fibre to the house. Disconnected the old exchange line, and all was well.

Pat Caplice (@tassiepatrat) reported@robb_j_m $90 a month. NBN Wireless through Telstra. Good service. Few faults. 6 person house so many devices.
-
Ian Richards (@IanRichards8) reported@robb_j_m Terrible internet access, NBN stands for NO BLOODY NETWORK
-
D Taylor (@travelbizzau) reported@Boom_ThatHurt @AvidCommentator The NBN was already billions over budget, years behind schedule and drowning in rollout failures before Abbott changed a thing. Labor sold a Ferrari, delivered a **** box, then blamed the next driver for the smoke coming out of the bonnet.
