  @grave0x @robb_j_m AFAIK There is no "free roll out" of FTTP. If you are on an FTTN network the homeowner has the "choice" to fork out money for the property to be upgraded to FTTP. If you are on the Coax/HFC network you are **** out of luck as the best NBN can do is try increase line bandwidth

  @OMGTheMess I am an EV driver, but I do not think others should be paying for it. Perhaps if the government invested in standing up a government owned charger network that had a sound business case and sold it later, that might be ok. However, that was what NBN was supposed to do with internet...

  I found out what the problem was, the entire building is down. NBN backbone issue, so it's not the ISP. Found a guy in the building that runs a mobile repeater business for buildings like this and he has official contacts with Telstra who say it's going to be down for the whole long weekend. Everyone in the building is struggling with phone access. He's going to put a proposal into strata (handily, that's me!) to install mobile repeaters in the building and also the basement carpark. I said I'll approve it.

  @eevblog If that is the mobile plan you bought, TBH it was to be expected. Every NBN customer in that same are is looking for an easy temporary solution......

  @iluminatibot I worked on the NBN my team was wrecked by the magnetic radiation we all new you cant be near high levels for a hour even. They turned the towers off for my team or it was maximum 10 minutes on the site at a time. The feeling is very very bad. I feel sorry for anyone who lives near high electromagnetic radiation. Another form is a VR very dangerous to children under 12 I've seen the damage a VR can do also 10 min at a time.

  @un1v3rs3135 @robb_j_m i'm on slightly more expensive starlink plan, rural village, get 240 mbps down and much faster uploads than fixed wireless nbn for just $9 a month more than i paid for the unstable NBN. has dropped out once for 7 mins in very heavy rain over the last 5 months.

  @TheJawnzz @robb_j_m You were on a **** deal you can get 100mb/s NBN for $500/year. Shop around, look for deals.
