I work in the remotest regions and people are more connected than my in-laws in central BNE. So it's age not region. 2. NBN does not equal internet. 3. Using FB is using internet. Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.

I’m on an NBN100 service so enjoy a good connection right from the start. I’m using an Apple TV device connected to a gigabit wired connection to my router and NBN. Everything is stable and no slow links. 1/2

I stopped reporting the issues, as it’s mainly nbn issues and it’s really frustrating. Paying $70 a month for the service you can hardly use is just outrageous. I’m on unlimited, top speed NBN — but I use it. We Stream nearly everything in my house. Sometimes other half will be streaming Netflix in 4K in the media room while I’m streaming on my iPad.

I have many services at home on my local network that I use my wifi to connect to that don't use the internet (NBN) at all. Fwiw I also have 2000/500 NBN with a capable router, 10gig switch and cat6a runs that support it. My internet is great by any standards, the only thing Australia does ****** (now - it wasn't this good a couple of years ago) is that we don't have symmetrical links for consumers. The whole point though is that the idiot OP thinks that "wifi" means internet, and it doesn't.
