Doctor Quim, Medicine Woman (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@sunrisesister @hazelblackberry Oh yeah. You can probably drop down to a fairly cheap plan. I’m on unlimited, top speed NBN — but I use it. We Stream nearly everything in my house. Sometimes other half will be streaming Netflix in 4K in the media room while I’m streaming on my iPad.
-
Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@max_au @simone_au That's the problem hey. The NBN tech installed the NBN modem, got it to pass, and left. The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)

Melanie (@littleredwrites) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Telstra @NBN_Australia outage in 4304 QLD.
-
Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@JimRHoughton *******. It’s like the 70’s all over again. The only reason they’re putting nuclear forward as an option is because it will buy the coal industry another 10-15 years while they build a reactor. Then they’ll have to go renewables anyway. It’s the friggin NBN redux
-
💦Graham (@graham2603) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandIs anyone else having trouble with their NBN regularly dropping out or slowing down
-
Damien Buckley 🇦🇺🇬🇧 (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandAlmost as shocked at this as how **** the NBN turned out to be #notshocked

-
John Flood (@JohnAFlood) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandA friend of mine who teaches at Griffith has been told her NBN is down for 2 days. Teaching and research up the spout. Of all the idiotic decisions @TurnbullMalcom took, screwing up the deployment of Australia’s internet was one of the biggest. Truly awful
-
-
chewyonyaboot (@Waugh1963) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@MrKRudd And the LNP’s crap NBN was on display for the world. The LNP has turned us into an embarrassing backwater
-
jchimself (@jchimselfbigpo2) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandJust Bullshit Malcolm, and you know it. You demean yourself trying to justify the total shit/fight NBN you created under the orders of the Mad Monk. You appear to have been enthusiastic in doing so. You will wear this like a wreath while you remain in this Forum.

We’re NOT “all in this together” (@ValleyBrian) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@VodafoneAU I just wanted to cancel my Vodafone NBN service 😰😰. So far I’ve spent 1 hour 40 mins chatting to Vodafone staff (it’s impossible to call them during the pandemic). It was all agreed today. Tonight I get a bill indicating the service is not cancelled. WTF!!
-
Daniel Rose (@dgr_dgr) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@SteveMolk @VodafoneAU What? I have to check mine. That's dodgy. And now I feel awful because I recommended you to voda NBN didn't I??
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Ferdie Khnopff (@FKhnopff) reported@Democracy_Duck @ABCmediawatch Are you suggesting giving the network back to public ownership? To an organisation like NBN where rejects from Telstra & Optus go to work? (Including Telstra's so-called risk management 'experts' BTW) With ACMA keeping an eye on things?
-
Richard (@R4dicalCentrist) reportedTrue. NBN Co is the picture of efficiency and never suffers outages or coverage issues.
-
💜𝕏 CharmsVic 𝕏 💜 (@CharmsYahoo) reported@scottjla @johannesmkx Uk hasn’t got as many isolated farms etc as Australia or US but I understand from friends there is similar higher speed internet access as Australia suffered with slow install of NBN and minimal systems Back in 2021/2 when Starlink was not providing many services in UK - govt removing authorisation would not have caused major outcry but the number of services today would cause huge outcry if authorisation were removed. Also mobile Starlink is very common now. The acceptance of authorisation is part of SPCX now and impact investors - technically I suspect uk govt can’t do anything other than order removal and whether the company has offices in uk will be relevant to service provision and funding for infringements Elon is VERY protective of children’s rights so expect him to express views on how this needs implementing. His stance against Starmer goes back to when he ed public prosecutor and didn’t protect children and girls against gangs.
-
ProudWhiteAustralian (@proudwhiteozzy) reportedAustralia is such a third world ********! Albanese has flooded this country with parasites, couple that with the fact that every nbn crew I see is full of browns and blacks, explains why I pay a **** ton of money for ******* dial-up speed Internet in 2026. JFC.
-
DissentingSkeptic (@DissentingS) reported@QuentinDempster Speed is latency. No satellite connection is "high speed" sick of the disinformation. Starlink is 20ms-40ms+ latency like mobile garbage is. NBN is a whopping 600ms latency. They need to keep this junk away from fibre areas where I get 2ms latency and have had since 2022.
-
alicefarquharson (@alicefarquson) reported@oscarcsims also very confusing policy/reg space. govt essentially renationalised Telstra infrastructure in leasing a bunch of its assets to the NBN. yet Telstra still runs emergency services, payphones, landlines - not NBN. minimal economic incentives, maximal telco corporate welfare
-
Nathan 1974 (@Natho369) reported@VoteLewko @Starlink I have a fixed and a mobile Starlink and neither have let me down, the NBN & our mobile phone network on the other hand is the opposite.
-
Wobb & Ro-Ro 🔞 are currently Quack-tastic!! (@WobbandRoRo) reportedYeah idk wtf is goin on dude. The NBN and/or Vodafone have been having the hugest ****** issues lately.
-
Mezmarr (@Mezmarr) reported@NBN_Australia @NBN_Australia still no internet. Guess I'll just tell my work that you guys will cover the losses incurred by being down.
-
Andrea (@1963amh) reported@SharkaByrne @newscomauHQ I paid extra to keep it at the time, so it would be accessible when nbn goes down. Or so I thought. Not sure what I paid extra for ( possibly another outlet )but it didn’t work, totally useless when it’s down. So much for progress.
