But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.

I have an exposed NBN cable in my yard, intermittent phone, and they say and I’ve reported it through my service provider. Get an email saying service provider hasn’t put in an “incident” and they’ve closed case.

Said I’d need an NBN tech visit. So instead today, naturally, I get a text from Telstra saying all is fixed.

One such movie streamed in all cinemas showing it from a central location. 2 way coms? Not before 2040 and 9G internet. Bandwidth is the issue to overcome with this tech. 1m chats would sink our NBN G5 for movies

Starlink is 20ms-40ms+ latency like mobile garbage is. NBN is a whopping 600ms latency. They need to keep this junk away from fibre areas where I get 2ms latency and have had since 2022.

Dane Trethowan (@grtdane) reported@TimLooker @ABCaustralia I knew our communications system was down the tube with no stopping it when NBN bought the Copper Wire Network from Telstra and start decommissioning it, we should have had our Copper Network (which served us well) continue to do so along side Fibre etc.
