Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@JimRHoughton *******. It’s like the 70’s all over again. The only reason they’re putting nuclear forward as an option is because it will buy the coal industry another 10-15 years while they build a reactor. Then they’ll have to go renewables anyway. It’s the friggin NBN redux

notsomadboy (@notsomadboy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@SC21012022 My NBN is fine. It's the work network that's dropping

Alex SI 😷 (@iamalexsi) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandI just switched from @Optus to @TPG_Telecom 1 week ago. I ordered my NBN and the modem has arrived, but no one came to instal it after few days. The bloody customer service is terrible, worst than @Optus!! I had to be in chatRoom in line, ticket number 600 and after 9 hours...

John Heidemann (@John_Heidemann) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@steeviepee @ParamountPlusAU Reality is there are a number of factors that may affect performance. I’m on an NBN100 service so enjoy a good connection right from the start. I’m using an Apple TV device connected to a gigabit wired connection to my router and NBN. Everything is stable and no slow links. 1/2

Jason Felstein (@JFelstein) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandWhen will Aust get serious about #innovation and enabling the citizen of the future @ScottMorrisonMP help this country compete on the world stage and fix the #nbn. -
Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@max_au @simone_au That's the problem hey. The NBN tech installed the NBN modem, got it to pass, and left. The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)
-
Old Timer (@OldTime58084241) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@CannabisFairy69 @davidbewart @kjon1230 NBN another LNP cluster ****

-
ema (@25MMCC) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@MadFckingWitch We’re the country who believe the GFC never happened, that the ALP stimulus package was worthy of an austerity plan for the last decade and that the ALP NBN was a huge waste of money! Yep- saving lives and eliminating the CV is definitely a leftist ananda.
-
Melanie (@littleredwrites) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandOh apparently it’s a nationwide NBN issue. Hooray.
-
Paul (@ardmorelad) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandI repeat. Why is @NBN_Australia constantly cutting out in postcode #4152. What is the problem. @Telstra @andy_penn #nbnfail
-
caskings (@caskings) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandHey @NBN_Australia how does one get your support team to take the wet weather into account for FTTN faults instead of just waiting a day or two for the joint to dry out and close the ticket?
-
Mike Goldman (@mikegoldmanlive) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandTelstra charge 100$ a month for my NBN home internet. Cancelled and started using a prepaid dongle with another company. 17$ a month, better speeds, more reliable, better customer service. Bye Telstra.

Chris Brown (@chrisbrownjade) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@abcnews "Starlink's performance is "significantly better" than NBN Co's satellite service, according to a telecommunications analyst". More like Starlink blows Sky Muster out of the water, and that's with only a small number of total satellites launched so far 😳
NBN Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Ian James Lake (@metalslaw) reported@KillAuDeepState @abcnews @SBSNews Nrth nsw's nbn news had a report on it during 6pm news. Mostly because of the rioting caused by the 'far right' (pissed off locals). Then pointing out that Nigel Farage is bad for noticing the attempted beheading as well... 😒
-
Stonkin Days (@n0otherwaythere) reported@Starlink I’m one **** around on price from going over to NBN fixed wireless which has been rolled out in my area since I got Starlink. The chapping and changing is bullshit

Libertarian Party NSW (Liberal Democrats) (@LibertariansNSW) reportedThe Libertarian Party believes in reducing government involvement in the economy. We would Reduce ATO staff by at least half over 5 years because flat tax rates will require less compliance staff, and it is essential to reduce the possibility of the tax system regrowing; similarly, scale back agencies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Competition and Consumer Commissioner and the laws they administer; and sell government business enterprises, including the NBN, ABC, SBS, and the Future Fund, and use the proceeds to pay down debt. By removing bureaucrats and simplifying tax, we will have a more prosperous country. #smallgovernment #libertarian
-
Spider Mother Gwen (@GwenMotherS) reportedlines we are tunning in the nbn these days AUSTRALIA SUCKS FOR INTERNET this has taken a big toll on my mental as i am now stressed out about debut having issues and ruining my hard work that i am trying to put into it sorry late message
-
Tolly 🇦🇺 (@TolsonKiefer) reported@stevehearne7 @arbsmichael @Marilynrules1 A portion of Telstra was sold for $45b and the rest put into the future fund, totalling $54b+. Telstra is worth $62b right now. This was an excellent deal for Australia. Kevin Rudd introducing the NBN has nothing to do with Howard and Costello and it was also only $11b. Idiot
-
Mustafa Jones (@mustafa__jones) reported@SkullSpeedDeal I called Optus support the other day. The Indian guy on the phone literally couldn’t speak coherent English, misunderstood 5G and NBN, and sounded like he was calling from a scam centre which he probably was. Got escalated to an Aussie girl, problem was immediately solved.
-
DBMG 🇦🇺 (@dbmgreen) reported@Peter_Fitz I was a Young Lib at UWA. Tea & Fairy Bread with Mal Fraser @ Sir Charles house. Volunteered. I was sliding but NBN was the last straw. AUS needed a statesman we got Abbott. :( Volunteer for an independant now. Unlikely to support libs ever again. If they are around that is.
-
John the Baptist (@JohntheBapt1ser) reported@ruicharadrius This is the most retarded tweet I’ve ever seen. A) falsely thinks WiFi is “the internet” B) doesn’t realise Aussie mobile coverage is some of the best in the world C) NBN is good now. My guess is your WiFi router is crap or too small for your house

Hasaan (@shanihashmi) reported@sharmilafaruqi Pakistan should seriously consider an expanded National Broadband Network (NBN) style rollout similar to Australia’s model. A nationally coordinated fiber backbone could reduce duplication, improve rural connectivity, lower long-term infrastructure costs, and ensure faster, more equal internet access across the country.Private ISPs can still compete at the retail level, but broadband infrastructure itself should be treated as a long-term national strategic investment. At the same time, Starlink licensing should move quickly through the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. To capture the market, Starlink will likely introduce pricing that is affordable for ordinary people, especially in underserved and remote areas.

TheProfit (@frank_rosh) reported@DrewPavlou Our NBN home connection was down for 3 days this week . We have coax (HFC) cable in our suburb.. which is 90s technology
