Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Kelvin Grove and nearby locations:
-
Mike Goldman (@mikegoldmanlive) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandTelstra charge 100$ a month for my NBN home internet. Cancelled and started using a prepaid dongle with another company. 17$ a month, better speeds, more reliable, better customer service. Bye Telstra.
-
Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandHow frigging stupid is this, I actually work from home full time and now can’t due to the poor service by @NBN_Australia and @Telstra So good lucky anyone thinking of working from home due to the virus and using NBN - 8 days so far and no resolution and no ETA on a fix
-
caskings (@caskings) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandHey @NBN_Australia how does one get your support team to take the wet weather into account for FTTN faults instead of just waiting a day or two for the joint to dry out and close the ticket?
-
Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.
-
Chris Brown (@chrisbrownjade) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@abcnews "Starlink's performance is "significantly better" than NBN Co's satellite service, according to a telecommunications analyst". More like Starlink blows Sky Muster out of the water, and that's with only a small number of total satellites launched so far 😳
-
Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@max_au @simone_au That's the problem hey. The NBN tech installed the NBN modem, got it to pass, and left. The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)
-
Daniel Rose (@dgr_dgr) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@AussieBecka @stufromoz I finally got through! Turns out it's an NBN issue. Technician booked for tomorrow morning!
-
Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@JimRHoughton *******. It’s like the 70’s all over again. The only reason they’re putting nuclear forward as an option is because it will buy the coal industry another 10-15 years while they build a reactor. Then they’ll have to go renewables anyway. It’s the friggin NBN redux
-
Matt Guest (@Guesty22) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandI really wish my @Optus 5G WiFi would not drop out every ten mins. Been nothing but trouble since we had it. Need to go back to NBN awful signal.
-
Luke™ (@lukeacl) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandBoth home and work internet collapsed this morning at 2am for some reason, weird NBN outage. But because I’m with @Aussie_BB I could easily diagnose connection states, NTD statuses, and perform a port reset on both 1600km away to get them working again without getting out of bed.
-
David (@singaporedavid1) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@RoadknightThe Telstra and the NBN will never deliver.
-
Greg McGarvie (@GregMcgarvie) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@SRC10127084 @SatPaper Morrisons LNP, neglected so much and with the rest like Barnaby created long term damage to government systems and services! Medicare, Infrastrucure , Vehicle, Renewables, Communications eg NBN Mobile networks, defence, what else?
-
Craig Acret (@jerrybr15619298) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@NBN_Australia Think it’s more a Telstra issue as it’s been 15 days with the nbn devices on hold in their warehouse. Thanks for your reply though.
-
Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@jdaalder I’ve been seeing this weirdness too. Slow or no loading on wifi - so Telstra over NBN HFC. Turn off wifi - kick to Telstra 4G, all good…
-
D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@Telstra have been trying to speak to a human for over a month to get NBN installed and wow 1000 messages “like texting a friend” what a joke! 1 month of circles! This is the worst customer service experience EVER!! #whereismynbn
-
🇭🇲 Channa K 🇮🇳 (@Channakt) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandNBN has reached my area, which means I am going to have a crappier internet connection, for the past year it's actually been good. But NBN in Australia sucks, especially for a gamer.
-
Brent 🤜🏻🤛🏾 Davidson (@Brentus88) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandAaaand the cycle starts again. @telstra visited, confirmed it was an @NBN_Australia issue & took detailed notes & photos of speed tests which rule out modem issue. Said I’d need an NBN tech visit. So instead today, naturally, I get a text from Telstra saying all is fixed.
-
Jase Smith (@JaseTheAussie) reported from Brisbane, QueenslandWhy does is my service listed as no outage detected when the fibre up the road has been ripped out between the nodes? @NBN_Australia
-
Rua Uilliam (💉💉💉 Pagan Prole Sewer Rat) (@RuaBrithem) reported from Brisbane, Queensland.@NBN_Australia has to be the worst company in Australia. I have an exposed NBN cable in my yard, intermittent phone, and they say and I’ve reported it through my service provider. Get an email saying service provider hasn’t put in an “incident” and they’ve closed case.
-
We’re NOT “all in this together” (@ValleyBrian) reported from Brisbane, Queensland@VodafoneAU I just wanted to cancel my Vodafone NBN service 😰😰. So far I’ve spent 1 hour 40 mins chatting to Vodafone staff (it’s impossible to call them during the pandemic). It was all agreed today. Tonight I get a bill indicating the service is not cancelled. WTF!!

-
Garfield C. Reynolds (@GarfieldR1966) reported@NBN_Australia Here I am almost 2 weeks later and still regular interruptions while NBN lists our address as subject to network degradation. I have contacted my provider and they then check with NBN and I am told work is ongoing. But nothing gets fixed!!!!
-
River Ach (@ach_river84952) reported@Nirgal451 @cmkusher Let’s check the record: Labor's NBN was full-fiber before the LNP sabotaged it into slow, costly copper. Inland Rail was botched by LNP scope creep, & NDIS white-anted by poor oversight. For economic reform stock with Labor. Vision didn't fail; execution was gutted by the LNP.
-
Andrew Godman (@Andrew_Godman) reported@fjzeit And to think Labor just wanted to build this for the same cost the Libs spend 😜 I won’t forgive them given I had really bad non nbn internet during the start of Covid while I had to work from home
-
Catherine (@Catheri09875779) reported@22thinkinggirl I tripped on a footpath in a Brisbane suburb, because it had been raised and not put back correctly by the NBN,the council fixed it that afternoon.Councils work, the problem is these are state roads in Victoria.Should the councils be asked to help out the new state government to get this major problem to a manageable level.
-
Jean-Michel Djaït 🇨🇵🇪🇺🇺🇳 (@jmdjait) reported@zammit_marc NBN. Never be nice.
-
LCHF Matt (@LCHF_Matt) reported@TTAlwaysWins NBN came and told me that it was my network, not the NBN. This is utter BS as the blue DSL light flashing has nothing to do with my network.
-
CTHG Crapital (@Alonzo_CTHG) reportedNBN down looks like I’m going out for walk.
-
Solaris (@AussieSolaris) reported@GearlessRoe I need internet, I'll go nuts without it. Heh. I miss gaming, waste of time as it was. I need some connection to the outside world, as much as I like/need my solitude. There is one section in this place where I get signal good enough to stream/use the internet well enough. Everywhere else is essentially dead. Miss being able to use the phone in bed, have to hotspot it & put it in one specific spot & use the PC now. See what happens/what I do these coming weeks. If I don't leave here/get kicked out for breaching them, and I can get more dollars in, Starlink will be the way. In theory. Shame though, $85 a month for only 100gb is an oof. My NBN plan with unlimited data at the last place was only $70 a month. Without further dollars/income, cannot afford. Will have to sort something soon. My entire situation right now is *not* sustainable.
-
Scott Nixon (@MrBrokenEyes) reportedUmmm. I don’t mean to be “that guy” but, has anyone else noticed that the #EmergencyAlert test seems to have, ya know, crashed the internet in Australia? #NBN is down everywhere. Phone internet seems to be okay. This could get interesting.
-
LCHF Matt (@LCHF_Matt) reported@TTAlwaysWins I’m pretty sure our issue is water ingress in the pits. When it rains it stops working. The last time it stopped (3rd time in 6 weeks), by the time NBN came to fix it (4 days) it was working again, so they blamed us. But Dodo has line tests showing it wasn’t working and I have photos showing the DSL link not connecting. The NBN is a white elephant. The government needs to sell it now and get whatever it can and move on. I ordered the Starlink dish the same day I booked the NBN repair. The dish came the same day as the NBN tech.
