I ordered my NBN and the modem has arrived, but no one came to instal it after few days. The bloody customer service is terrible, worst than @Optus!! I had to be in chatRoom in line, ticket number 600 and after 9 hours...

But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

But because I’m with @Aussie_BB I could easily diagnose connection states, NTD statuses, and perform a port reset on both 1600km away to get them working again without getting out of bed.

The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)

I’m on an NBN100 service so enjoy a good connection right from the start. I’m using an Apple TV device connected to a gigabit wired connection to my router and NBN. Everything is stable and no slow links. 1/2

I stopped reporting the issues, as it’s mainly nbn issues and it’s really frustrating. Paying $70 a month for the service you can hardly use is just outrageous. Labor modelling also gave us $275 lower power bills, mining tax revenue, a surplus and NBN timelines that never arrived. Publish the assumptions, not just the headline. Remember Labor's start the original NBN "fibre to the premises" rollout and its massive unplanned cost overruns? Then along comes the LNP's moronic attempt to cut costs by a change over to a crap "fibre to the node" hook-up and other "hybrid" connection types. We still deal with this high cost to maintain mish-mash today this very day. End result, we've been quietly paying for the dismantling and replacement of the LNP's substandard "FTTN" with "FTTP" as originally planed, and thus, billion's $$$ wasted.
