NBN has reached my area, which means I am going to have a crappier internet connection, for the past year it's actually been good. But NBN in Australia sucks, especially for a gamer.

  • JaseTheAussie
Jase Smith (@JaseTheAussie) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Why does is my service listed as no outage detected when the fibre up the road has been ripped out between the nodes? @NBN_Australia

  • Brentus88
Brent 🤜🏻🤛🏾 Davidson (@Brentus88) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Aaaand the cycle starts again. @telstra visited, confirmed it was an @NBN_Australia issue & took detailed notes & photos of speed tests which rule out modem issue. Said I’d need an NBN tech visit. So instead today, naturally, I get a text from Telstra saying all is fixed.

  • Cpt_CBRZY
CBRZY (@Cpt_CBRZY) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@NBN_Australia has been non existent today. Internet drops every 15 minutes or so and sometimes stays down for 10 minutes. Infuriating to say the least

  • PoE_fanatic
James Smart (he/him) (@PoE_fanatic) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Another bad weather event, another @NBN_Australia dropout. Oh, and @BelongAU I have put in a support ticket but contacting me during the day might be tough getting hold of me during the day during the week.

  • Waugh1963

@MrKRudd And the LNP’s crap NBN was on display for the world. The LNP has turned us into an embarrassing backwater

  • GrahamSmith111
Graham Smith (@GrahamSmith111) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

I am no fan of the NBN but the further investment of $3.5 billion defies logic. 5G is coming with very quick download speeds and cable infrastructure. It’s pouring good money after bad. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

  • John_Heidemann
John Heidemann (@John_Heidemann) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@steeviepee @ParamountPlusAU Reality is there are a number of factors that may affect performance. I’m on an NBN100 service so enjoy a good connection right from the start. I’m using an Apple TV device connected to a gigabit wired connection to my router and NBN. Everything is stable and no slow links. 1/2

@NBN_Australia Think it’s more a Telstra issue as it’s been 15 days with the nbn devices on hold in their warehouse. Thanks for your reply though.

@nettey1234 @NBN_Australia @Telstra NBN is a joke - they can’t even tell me when the issue will be fixed

@NBN_Australia Service is back up and working but just interested if this kind of damage will affect it in the future but I can’t seem to get a response from @NBN_Australia at all other than to reject any request my provider makes. That is not “as soon as possible”.

  • RBD926
Robert Davis CSM (@RBD926) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@RositaDaz48 What legacy would you chose of YOUR heroes? 1. Chasing non existent WMD. 2. Eating a raw onion 3. An expensive and slow NBN 4. Corrupt liar

  • lissyvz67
Lissy (@lissyvz67) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Is it an #optus tactic to make getting something fixed so difficult that customers just give up? I've had no nbn since 16th February and no one at #optus seems to care or want to help her the nbn working again. My son works from home. This is just not acceptable.

  • MelieDoyle
    melie doyle (@MelieDoyle) reported

@TrilogyOfSeven @Starlink Short range wifi from NBN used to be a lot better than satellites… but a 7G booster? What the heck are they pushing that for? When people finally understand, a lot of companies are gonna go bust because they won’t be able to pay out all the claims. Direct to phone satellites, which if done right, can be done on 90 satellites, is better, but nobody is using it well. Regular satellites are unsafe, and don’t work… that’s why they need thousands of satellites. In 2011, hundreds of medical scientists petitioned the UN asking them to halt the roll out of 5G. The original documents, which I read, and are now hard to find, stated that such frequencies disrupt our nervous system, our neurological system, and damage DNA. They shared all the science. They also shared predictions based on what would happen if they moved forward. Many humans have been lost since 2019, as well as birds and insects. Independent studies show how many insects we have lost, not to mention that everyone talks about the fact that there are no bugs on their windshield anymore. Resonant frequencies inflame cells, and fry neural pathways. Insects have a more fragile system, which is why they are dropping first. The UN did pause in 2011, but by 2019, billionaires had paid the UN to state that it was all about the risk of heat burns, and they decided it wasn’t an issue. Since then, the scientists keep petitioning the UN, but the UN is bought and paid for. 😑 they aren’t doing anything to stop it.

@Thejimpenman Ask your serfs to shout you full fibre NBN Jimmy. That was under the Deposed LNP Crime org that ran up $850 additional debt, without creating one cent of legacy assett, whilst claiming to have paid down the existing $150 billion debt that took all prior govts 112 yrs to reach.

  • markdavaus
    J Pipsam (@markdavaus) reported

@MarkoMatvikov AussieBB are awesome! I got FTTP installed via NBN organised by them without any work on my part. When in the process of moving in I hadn't connected my router up after signing up, they rang me to check of everything was okay and if I was having tech issues. Great customer focus.

@Cam_M_Caldwell The coalition is the ones that got us in this mess by closing down the refineries. Dont play the hero card because you once could be the villain. Thanks for ruining the nbn rollout and making it cost 4 x the price. *********.

  • WyldFurr
    Studio WyldFurr (@WyldFurr) reported

Australia's crappy NBN strikes again, network is so bad I can't maintain a smooth connection to YouTube. So no livestream today. I'll see if I can make some videos and post a montage.

@dyllfather222 @SeverusChud It is a gov that believes it is better at allocating capital than private people. Hence the massive tax grabs. Theft really. The huge gov spend, like insane spending. NDIS fraud CFMEU fraud NBN insanity reinstalling copper into wet pits. Selling 200 days of fuel down to 30 days. Zero response to Islamic extremism This gov is killing us.

  • ryanremery
    Ryan Emery (@ryanremery) reported

So the FTTN service that had been supposedly canceled is now working. @VodafoneAU claimed it was my modem. I'm using that same modem/router connected to the NBN fibre optic. Either it's a miracle or something broken got fixed.

@Aitch_El i had to get starlink internet because NBN co removed the backup generator from local fixed wireless tower, replaced it with a 4 hour battery. landlines go out as soon as power does, mobile lasts about 5 hours. after flood people were breaking out old CB radios to organise help.
