  • JohnAFlood
John Flood (@JohnAFlood) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

A friend of mine who teaches at Griffith has been told her NBN is down for 2 days. Teaching and research up the spout. Of all the idiotic decisions @TurnbullMalcom took, screwing up the deployment of Australiaโ€™s internet was one of the biggest. Truly awful

  • nathanhome
Nathan Home (@nathanhome) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@PollyMel @NBN_Australia they wouldn't say... guessing storm damage

My NBN is down and Vodafone won't pick up ๐Ÿ˜ญ. It's ******* Friday, this is not how I wanted to start my weekend.

  • TheOlderGamer52
Robbie Shenton (@TheOlderGamer52) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@SoloVideoGamer I keep hearing of these NBN issues from hundreds of people. Only ever had 1 issue and that's when we 1st got connected. No upload speed. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Now I get a constant 94/37mbps unless of course someone is downloading lol

  • mikegoldmanlive
Mike Goldman (@mikegoldmanlive) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Telstra charge 100$ a month for my NBN home internet. Cancelled and started using a prepaid dongle with another company. 17$ a month, better speeds, more reliable, better customer service. Bye Telstra.

  • editsmithy
Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@NBN_Australia We have no alternative as there is no way to contact you directly even though this is your issue, my provider has been given no updates for 7 days.

  • Scotty_McDonald
Scotty McDonald (@Scotty_McDonald) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Hey @Aussie_BB, any update on an outage in 4151? Nothing reported on your site or @NBN_Australia

  • Protenpinner
Clifford Stewart (@Protenpinner) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Honest to god NBN in Australia is piss poor for gaming. I shouldn't have to wait till it's midnight and off peak to get a decent connection without my game glitching to bits. Absolute ******* joke. #FIFA23

  • SJMcCambridge
Shaun McCambridge (@SJMcCambridge) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Currently experiencing the single worst customer experience of my life with @TPG_Telecom NBN connection. Wouldnโ€™t recommend, 2 weeks in and still no closer to a solution

  • ashkbne
Ash โ˜๏ธ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Had no issues with Telstra cable pre-NBN

  • damienpbuckley
Damien Illegal Dinner Party Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

From $55 down to $19.99 on release, Turnbullโ€™s memoir is depreciating faster than the NBN

  • lukeacl
Lukeโ„ข (@lukeacl) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Both home and work internet collapsed this morning at 2am for some reason, weird NBN outage. But because Iโ€™m with @Aussie_BB I could easily diagnose connection states, NTD statuses, and perform a port reset on both 1600km away to get them working again without getting out of bed.

  • dwightwalker
Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Unfortunately @NBN_Australia is down again so I have to reschedule appointment to get it fixed via @exetel

  • singaporedavid1
David (@singaporedavid1) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

Why is the NBN so rubbish in Australia. One more outage and Iโ€™m cancelling and moving across to Starlink. Australia should just stick to making hamburgers and coffees as anything else is all just to technically difficult. @NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB

  • timjohnblake
Tim Blake (@timjohnblake) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@JessMcDonell OMG I feel like nbn had been so bad lately

  • damienpbuckley
Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@jdaalder No for weeks on and off. Twitter especially but certain websites. Tv streaming is fine which suggests this may be an NBN traffic priority issue

  • editsmithy
Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@nettey1234 @NBN_Australia @Telstra No just the poor quality of the network - itโ€™s drop outs not a slowdown

  • editsmithy
Bradders (@editsmithy) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

How frigging stupid is this, I actually work from home full time and now canโ€™t due to the poor service by @NBN_Australia and @Telstra So good lucky anyone thinking of working from home due to the virus and using NBN - 8 days so far and no resolution and no ETA on a fix

  • ValleyBrian
Weโ€™re NOT โ€œall in this togetherโ€ (@ValleyBrian) reported from Brisbane, Queensland

@VodafoneAU I just wanted to cancel my Vodafone NBN service ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ. So far Iโ€™ve spent 1 hour 40 mins chatting to Vodafone staff (itโ€™s impossible to call them during the pandemic). It was all agreed today. Tonight I get a bill indicating the service is not cancelled. WTF!!

@loftwah The NBN was deliberately ****** by Abbott for 2 reasons: a) he was ratfucking Turnbull, and b) Murdoch didn't want his HFC coax stranded. Nuclear never has and never will be financially appropriate for Australia.

  • payskerapp
    Paysker (@payskerapp) reported

@7NewsSydney @grok can you explain how a traditional landline can still call with no power, even though each telephony service is handed off from an NBN NTU, or DSLAM?

@eevblog I have both, NBN service stability is far less than Starlink's, so it is my backup. I could probably push traffic through both, did that with Telstra and Optus cable modems back in the day, but Starlink is so fast I haven't needed to bother.

  • purana
    purana (@purana) reported

Superloop is the 3rd RSP. Let's see if I can get more details out of them tomorrow on what path/route of the FTTN is a problem. NBN co seriously can't manage a raffle in a pub.

  • paullyj57
    paullyj57 FMD **** AUST (@paullyj57) reported

@MrKRudd @AsiaSociety @AsiaSocietyJP 200 billion for nbn that is useless and no one uses. Iv been using mobile network for 15 years for data. Faster and cheaper than nbn. And now starlink which is even faster and unlimited fast data for $69 pm. Labor have mortgaged your kids future for votes. Frauds and corrupted

  • ok_lyndsey
    Lyndsey Jackson (@ok_lyndsey) reported

@NationalFarmers @NBN_Australia @AlboMP Guess how much we spent on the ten base stations on the ground? An eye watering amount that is symptomatic of the grift that went into the building of the network. We *should* have an inquiry. We probably won't bother though.

  • SydneyCityTV
    SydneyCityTV (@SydneyCityTV) reported

Not that I've heard anything of course. But surely, a NBN News presenter or two that WIN are likely to see as being "surplus to requirements" under their new format for local news would make for far better Super Radio Network hosts? Not to mention, have wider name recognition...

  • MAustraliaGA06
    Aussie Christian๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ•Žโœ๏ธ (@MAustraliaGA06) reported

@RennickGBR My issue with point 3 is that for the last 2 decades, there hasnโ€™t been one federal project that was delivered on time and on budget, every single infrastructure built blew the budget completely. So itโ€™s just more spending. Snowy hydro, NBN, inland rail, hunter frigate etc

  • negativevortex_
    The Policy Guy (@negativevortex_) reported

@PaulineHansonOz Morning Pauline. The 'du jour' attack on One Nation presently focusses on whether your policies are costed. As you know, this will become a regular feature of all uniparty (LNP will offer this sledge too) media / comms over the next 24 months. It shows the panic levels have escalated. I believe this is your best tactical response (below). 1. Be prepared to openly sully the reputation of the PBO The fact is that this department has costed the NBN, the NDIS and (to a lesser extent) Snowy Hydro. They are continuously wrong, because they are not highly skilled operators in private industry, they're public servants running to Standard Operating Procedure. Let Australians know the PBO is wildly off the mark with most of their projections. So why should One Nation seek this amateur level of analysis? 2. Move the financial analysis and broader discourse to the public forum. Be open, be transparent. Everything that Albanese is not. Aussies will see this and appreciate sincerity of effort and process. Invite critique from high calibre experts like @Adam_Creighton and @DrCameronMurray. Have the project estimations team at Hancock Energy run a ruler over it - they eat Class 2 estimates in their sleep and they'd crunch this work. 3. Empowering Aussies to think through the conundrum. If One Nation aspires to leaning out the public service, to increase quality and production whilst decreasing cost and regulation - most people realise that the public service are not and will never be 'independent' The PBO likes to remind us they are Parliamentary public servants, as distinct from APS. This is a meaningless distinction - they are inept and part of the loathesome Machinery of Government (MOG) that always seems to place Aussies last.

  • bernardsjansen
    Bernard (@bernardsjansen) reported

@TopherField I've been a happy Starlink customer for years, because the NBN was unable to get reliable internet to my house. Each month Elon gets my money, and I get reliable high speed internet. Each month, we are both better off.
