my computer has been slowing down, taking forever to load pics, let alone vids. then my smart tv failed. so i did the last think i could think of, i turned the nbn thingy off, waited a minute and turned it back on. everything works now. cancelled visit from the techy.

Troubleshooting my parents' internet connection. Telstra Gateway Max router - NBN via Foxtel cable. All router lights look OK, but no internet from the wifi network. Anyone know their way around a setup like this?

@innocent_abroad @mal2153 @MikeCarlton01 Bull. It had a short positive effect when Optus had to offer competitive pricing to attract new customers. But the positive effects were short lived. 3 decades later, privatisation of our telecom has led to poor rural connectivity and the cluster F that is NBN.

@JaneCaro Well yes, Jane. Only in my household (and you know the score here) Sat-Nav did solve my problems as I'm the driver, and when NBN, printer, chrome-casting, etc don't work, it's me (who's a techphobe) who fixes it, otherwise it's a case of "I'll look at it when I've got a minute"

@marble_wraith @MrKRudd Exactly. The LNP are masters at wrecking things. Look at the NBN, NDIS, Medicare, Aged Care...they destroy everything. The greens need to understand who the damn enemy is and make sure they never have a chance to get back in power.

@NBN_Australia Completely unreliable connection stability, very inconsistent speeds, dropouts and slowdowns at least 2-3 times a day. It gets nearly impossible to do anything half the time. We can't even get speeds above 35Mbps, even on a 50+Mbps plan! We had to downgrade to 20-30Mbps!

Do I know anyone who can help escalate something within NBNco? Having some pretty frustrating home internet issues and my ISP and the NBN technical department keep bouncing it back to each other

@NBN_Australia no service for 6 weeks technician replaced satellite box on Wednesday and left with service not working. No follow from anyone!
