  • Tur71e Brett Turville (@Tur71e) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia Each time a tech comes out they refuse to check the HFC connection on the street. They say they are not allowed to put a ladder against the pole. After 6 visits nothing is wrong internally so it must be the street connection. 15+ dropouts today. Please help!

  • MsLisaHerbert Lisa Herbert (@MsLisaHerbert) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@carolduncan @AgPeriUrban Absolutely. We were on deck in Mackay during Cyclone Debbie & even the ABC went down to those worst affected. Phones out for days. Guy walked for kms down a blocked road to tell authorities his village was OK. Frightens me to think how the NBN will affect comms when power is lost

  • ashkbne Ash ☁️ (@ashkbne) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Had no issues with Telstra cable pre-NBN

  • gb7004 greg bradley (@gb7004) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Dear @Optus you are a disgrace, cancel my ADSL as I am signed up to NBN well I would be but still waiting for a modem from you from 10th Oct, rang help desk and Annika CB690949 was going to ring me back in 10/15 minutes 40 minutes.

  • badtastefatboy Robert Gunner (@badtastefatboy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@LennaLeprena @Loud_Lass Never say never. But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

  • mark16pg mark pg (@mark16pg) reported from Old Bribie, State of Queensland

Did any of them back stab anyone that got in their way .Policies that cost Aust over $50 b in a very short time & growing (subs, nbn, barrier reef, snowy mtn mk 2 all unmitagated disasters. Was willing to bring the govt down with a election after they dumped him he is the king loser

  • bdyling Benny Ling (@bdyling) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

The good news is, the apartment I purchased off the plan has FTTP. The bad news is, it’s not NBN FTTP, it’s some “LBN Co” FTTP, whom I have never heard of before.

  • WhiplashUnited Mickey Dee (@WhiplashUnited) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Can’t even watch a five minute video because .@optus is useless. Worse still it’s NBN.I pay $85 month for a failing service. Rort.

  • JFelstein Jason Felstein (@JFelstein) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

When will Aust get serious about #innovation and enabling the citizen of the future @ScottMorrisonMP help this country compete on the world stage and fix the #nbn. Out of date before it’s complete and no money for a modern communication platform.

  • glenn_rowe Glenn Rowe (@glenn_rowe) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra AGM sees them complaining about the NBN however their biggest problem should be customer retention. I always have a problem when contacting Telstra, tried to get an esim as a replacement for my physical sim, and I’m asked for a driving lience I don’t have. #esim #NBN

  • nasser_tony Tony Nasser 🇦🇺 (@nasser_tony) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

A pox on the house of the Australian NBN. This substandard excuse for internet service is pathetic.

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia The problem is the techs that are sent won’t check the connection on the street. They change something internally for no good reason and report back that the fault is fixed which it is not. I go back to @Optus and the same process happens again.

  • ChrisyG Chris Gillette (@ChrisyG) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

On an up note, the NBN dude turned up today and in shock I sniffled both my way through a bloody nasty head cold and emotion to help him install our HFC line. I just did a speed test, got 36.1 Mbs down / 18.3 Mbs up. Our usual was 5.74 down / 1.14 up. Things are bittersweet.

  • jchimselfbigpo2 💧jchimself (@jchimselfbigpo2) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Have been with Telstra since 1972-have not had a problem. Now on NBN, still with Telstra- have low needs - fixed cost $88.00 per month - all local landline & mobile calls free. Suits me down to the ground.

  • TealJesus_ Teal (@TealJesus_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

this whole no NBN between the hours of 6pm-12am is getting REAL annoying @Telstra How am i supposed to run a livestream with 0.89 upload speeds. 3 days in a row! Y’all are starting to cost me MONEY. And i don’t wanna hear “We understand your frustration” just fix the damn issue

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted to check the connection on the street. Farcical!

@PRGuy17 **** yeah. My wifi is terrible in my unit. Can’t be any worse than the NBN. Sign me up

  • Trinkett Rina (@Trinkett) reported

Over 2 hrs now trying to rectify NBN issues with @Telstra . I'm not even sure I'm chatting online to a human because all the responses seem to just be copied and pasted rather than really answering my questions.

  • PaulMeekPerth Paul Meek (@PaulMeekPerth) reported

@Shane3574 @UkraineDan I don't think it'll go down that way, not for a constitutional amendment, but I could be wrong. Look how they ****** the nbn.

  • Davejeffery22 Dave Jeffery (@Davejeffery22) reported

@TonyHWindsor The NBN was a Labor failure right from the word go. It's a definite warning that they should never be given the chance with the electricity grid. Imagine the solar farms we could have made from Rudd/Gillard starting panel and battery manufacturing back then?

  • MichaelACT123 Michael O'Rourke (@MichaelACT123) reported

@TonyHWindsor NBN [optic fibre internet] needed reform because it was a government monopoly. Unnatural monopolies are synonymous with bad service. (Not to say that the LNP government chose the right way to reform it.)

  • Davejeffery22 Dave Jeffery (@Davejeffery22) reported

@TonyHWindsor No Labor failed the NBN and now they are going to do the same thing with renewable energy. Labor divide us to get something then they divide us with blame for what they never get right.

  • RuarkLewis ruark lewis (@RuarkLewis) reported

@MichaelACT123 @TonyHWindsor It never emerged as a monopolistic business. NBN was stillborn from start. Such government initiatives cannot be simply defined. Also such enterprises evolve over time. Turnbull was a corporate wrecker. He did that kind of thing to appease his wife’s aristocratic aspiration

  • PaulieVerity Paul Verity 🌺 (@PaulieVerity) reported

@TonyHWindsor The big issue of NBN ie faster internet, split the nation? Really? A take like that is probably why you are no longer relevant. It's a really bad take.

  • Rorymf Rory Fitzpatrick (@Rorymf) reported

@TonyHWindsor On the NBN, if it wasn’t for MTM we wouldn’t have had anywhere as near an operational network, which enabled mass at home working during the pandemic
