@ClaireLouse2403 @cheryl_kernot @bugwannostra yep. in the same way that: - the start of the initial NSW 'lockdown' was pushed back to allow Hillsong event attendees to leave the state & country; - the NBN FTTH backflip aligns nicely with Foxtel now offering a BINGE service that, to be successful, requires more bandwidth. 😐

@sunrisesister @hazelblackberry Oh yeah. You can probably drop down to a fairly cheap plan. I’m on unlimited, top speed NBN — but I use it. We Stream nearly everything in my house. Sometimes other half will be streaming Netflix in 4K in the media room while I’m streaming on my iPad.

@Telstra Like your team has done with my new NBN order which never arrived along with your technician after 3 appointments.. and your pathetically incapable non-existential customer svc.. only implies that Telstra has lost interest in selling new business.

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than a week!! No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just damn amazing service! @Telstra 6 weeks of bullshit text messages vs 1 week and NBN installed #yesoptus

Currently experiencing the single worst customer experience of my life with @TPG_Telecom NBN connection. Wouldn’t recommend, 2 weeks in and still no closer to a solution

Both home and work internet collapsed this morning at 2am for some reason, weird NBN outage. But because I’m with @Aussie_BB I could easily diagnose connection states, NTD statuses, and perform a port reset on both 1600km away to get them working again without getting out of bed.

@Optus and @NBN_Australia your network is shocking. I don’t think there’s been a day since Christmas that we’ve had a full day without network outage and connection dropping to the level where the internet just can’t be used. Seriously, just unacceptable for the price we pay. 😡

I am no fan of the NBN but the further investment of $3.5 billion defies logic. 5G is coming with very quick download speeds and cable infrastructure. It’s pouring good money after bad. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

@lindsywood7 @JessxSeven @JessxSeven are you not on NBN? You should be on at least 20 up if you're on a 50 or 100 down plan.

NBN has reached my area, which means I am going to have a crappier internet connection, for the past year it's actually been good. But NBN in Australia sucks, especially for a gamer.

@Telstra your customer service team is highly incapable, get rid of them. My new NBN order has been revised 4 times already without my input. And now the technician’s visit date has been changed without any notice. Are you guys interested in signing up new customers at all?

Yeah I give up - my neighbour had nbn as of 3 weeks ago and apparently I can't get it installed until April 2021 despite being in the same building as her? That's complete bullshit. Guess I have to stick with my wireless 4GX network until then...

@Optus Thanks. I have had several conversations and chats with customer service. I stopped reporting the issues, as it’s mainly nbn issues and it’s really frustrating. Paying $70 a month for the service you can hardly use is just outrageous. Text messages coming through advising outages

@MichaeS72 @45thSpaceWing @SpaceX Hi Michael, it's reported that the Starlink hardware will cost a total of $709, with the service to also cost $139 per month. Shipping and handling on the product will also cost $100 for Australians. This is much more expensive than most nbn products.

@NBN_Australia We have already had a tune up and been told that dropouts are to be expected. I find that level of service unacceptable but now wonder how we judge the parameters within which interrupted service is considered the NBN standard. We did not have this expectation prior to NBN.

@penzochun Hi Jordan, there are no ongoing outages and we suggest power cycling your hardware. Turn off your modem, nbn™ connection box & any connected device for 10 seconds. Turn your equipment back on again. Allow up to up 10 minutes for your hardware to reconnect to the network. -Gwen

@oliverbeerortwo @MrKRudd Any rational person would be happy to see this being investigated. Who is doing it and for what reason is largely irrelevant. Shutting down the monopoly of Murdoch is beneficial to all. Murdoch is why we have such an atrocious NBN implementation and that alone should bother you.

Trying to understand the parameters of the service provided by @NBN_Australia Is the expectation that the service comes with dropouts? There is no guarantee of continuity of service and dropouts are to be expected? Is there a threshold of how many dropouts is acceptable?
