When will Aust get serious about #innovation and enabling the citizen of the future @ScottMorrisonMP help this country compete on the world stage and fix the #nbn. Out of date before it’s complete and no money for a modern communication platform.

  • TealJesus_ Teal (@TealJesus_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

this whole no NBN between the hours of 6pm-12am is getting REAL annoying @Telstra How am i supposed to run a livestream with 0.89 upload speeds. 3 days in a row! Y’all are starting to cost me MONEY. And i don’t wanna hear “We understand your frustration” just fix the damn issue

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted check the connection on the street. Farcical!

  • jchimselfbigpo2 💧jchimself (@jchimselfbigpo2) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Have been with Telstra since 1972-have not had a problem. Now on NBN, still with Telstra- have low needs - fixed cost $88.00 per month - all local landline & mobile calls free. Suits me down to the ground.

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia Each time a tech comes out they refuse to check the HFC connection on the street. They say they are not allowed to put a ladder against the pole. After 6 visits nothing is wrong internally so it must be the street connection. 15+ dropouts today. Please help!

  • MsLisaHerbert Lisa Herbert (@MsLisaHerbert) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@carolduncan @AgPeriUrban Absolutely. We were on deck in Mackay during Cyclone Debbie & even the ABC went down to those worst affected. Phones out for days. Guy walked for kms down a blocked road to tell authorities his village was OK. Frightens me to think how the NBN will affect comms when power is lost

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia The problem is the techs that are sent won’t check the connection on the street. They change something internally for no good reason and report back that the fault is fixed which it is not. I go back to @Optus and the same process happens again.

  • mark16pg mark pg (@mark16pg) reported from Old Bribie, State of Queensland

Did any of them back stab anyone that got in their way .Policies that cost Aust over $50 b in a very short time & growing (subs, nbn, barrier reef, snowy mtn mk 2 all unmitagated disasters. Was willing to bring the govt down with a election after they dumped him he is the king loser

  • ChrisyG Chris Gillette (@ChrisyG) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

On an up note, the NBN dude turned up today and in shock I sniffled both my way through a bloody nasty head cold and emotion to help him install our HFC line. I just did a speed test, got 36.1 Mbs down / 18.3 Mbs up. Our usual was 5.74 down / 1.14 up. Things are bittersweet.

  • LesStonehouse Politic@l Spinner (@LesStonehouse) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @Telstra @Optus.. Please help my darling wife I miss her 😢 #auspol #NBN

  • Tur71e Brett Turville (@Tur71e) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus my 4G broadband at #stafford is so bad. Either that or the @Huawei modem. Not an isolated event. Really question the advertising around super fast 4g. Every night a snail pace speed. #nbn #broadband #nombps #slowinternet

  • nasser_tony Tony Nasser 🇦🇺 (@nasser_tony) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

A pox on the house of the Australian NBN. This substandard excuse for internet service is pathetic.

  • samf_66 Sam (@samf_66) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@NBN_Australia @Optus NBN HFC 6 weeks of daily multiple dropouts. 4 NBN tech visits + 1 Optus & the issue is still not resolved. Optus modem replaced, NTD replaced, F-connectors replaced but tech not permitted to check the connection on the street. Farcical!

  • bdyling Benny Ling (@bdyling) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

The good news is, the apartment I purchased off the plan has FTTP. The bad news is, it’s not NBN FTTP, it’s some “LBN Co” FTTP, whom I have never heard of before.

  • LesStonehouse Politic@l Spinner (@LesStonehouse) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

    @factordex @Telstra @NBN_Australia Holy shit

  • gb7004 greg bradley (@gb7004) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Dear @Optus you are a disgrace, cancel my ADSL as I am signed up to NBN well I would be but still waiting for a modem from you from 10th Oct, rang help desk and Annika CB690949 was going to ring me back in 10/15 minutes 40 minutes.

  • WhiplashUnited Mickey Dee (@WhiplashUnited) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Can’t even watch a five minute video because .@optus is useless. Worse still it’s NBN.I pay $85 month for a failing service. Rort.

  • neilmaddo10 Neil Maddison (@neilmaddo10) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Trying to get hooked up to @Optus nbn... Monday they said, now it won’t be. Ready for two weeks of arguing like last time. Customer service is not at all important to them.

  • badtastefatboy Robert Gunner (@badtastefatboy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@LennaLeprena @Loud_Lass Never say never. But certainly during the operational life of #nbn I can't see #fibretopremises being beaten by anything else. We're currently on HFC (High Frequency Coaxial) & destined for HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) but delaying as long as possible because of reliability.

  • glenn_rowe Glenn Rowe (@glenn_rowe) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra AGM sees them complaining about the NBN however their biggest problem should be customer retention. I always have a problem when contacting Telstra, tried to get an esim as a replacement for my physical sim, and I’m asked for a driving lience I don’t have. #esim #NBN

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Deanosim Deanosim 🥔 (@Deanosim) reported

I wonder if NBNco and Ausnet are going to reimburse all the Victorians that have been without power for 3 days for all the mobile data they've had to buy because the NBN doesn't work?

  • jodebkp jodie (@jodebkp) reported

@Telstra my family have spent hours on phone and visiting two stores and need help - my parents have had their phone number of 50 years disconnected without consent, Telstra seem to know this occurred when nbn installed but no one can help with the number being reconnected.

  • NikitasCon Con Nikitas (@NikitasCon) reported

@Telstra what the hell is going on with your **** NBN in Caulfield Everyday is an issue however, never a issue with your direct debit @!!

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported

@yaakov_h @Optus @NBN_Australia There's a risk that communities become isolated when there's a power outage that takes nbn infrastructure and mobile infrastructure down. Mobile backup won't always work due to loss of coverage. Telcos may think that there's overlapping coverage so they don't prioritise.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@SumiWumi Sorry Sumi, it looks like NBN is investigating an issue in the area. We hope the service is back online soon. Do you have access to Optus 4G backup modem? Meg

  • cherniTweet Cherni (@cherniTweet) reported

Loving our first world @NBN_Australia... Connection dropped (not a user error or issue ) and first available technician is in two weeks. Third world provider.

  • MarkDActon007 Mark David Acton (Mark) Bond (@MarkDActon007) reported

NAT type Xbox wireless: - Open. - Double. - Unavailable. Tethered to my mobile - not applicable. NBN WiFi: -- 192.***.*.1 i'm on. 192.***.*.2 is the router. Different settings. I'M NOT AN IDIOT. Loose lips sink ships. Another silly *** (shakes head and tuts).

  • maz_net_au Maz (@maz_net_au) reported

@NBN_Australia HAHA exactly what I told the other guy you'd say. Always hiding behind the RSP when you know full well that the NBN doesn't guarantee anything faster than 25mbit (or 12mbit in co-existence). FTTN is garbage and 4G is 5x faster. I can't wait for 5G to bankrupt you.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported

@Optus @yaakov_h The SMS template for that planned outage notification should be changed to include the word "outage" so that customers are informed of an @NBN_Australia planned outage. Customers might assume that improvements are performed with no outage because you didn't mention one.

  • dinonetherton dean netherton (@dinonetherton) reported

Just got a call claiming to be from Telstra to help me as my internet was infiltrated by bad people. Thing is, I have no Telstra account nor even nbn. Having watch lots of @JimBrowning11 videos I new precisely what was happening. Would be funny if not so despicable.
