I have been seeing your “My shitty NBN is down” tweets all week and thinking “Heh, mine’s never missed a beat.”. Update: My shitty NBN is down.

  • PaulRaidersGuy ■■PAUL■■ (@PaulRaidersGuy) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra Your online chat service stinks...staff taking ages to reply. We have our NBN modem already. Its taken hours to get help and after being customer for years...want to change to NBN.its 10.38 & and want this done now..have to be up early for work!

  • Flansq Doctor Quim, Medicine Woman (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@sunrisesister @hazelblackberry Oh yeah. You can probably drop down to a fairly cheap plan. I’m on unlimited, top speed NBN — but I use it. We Stream nearly everything in my house. Sometimes other half will be streaming Netflix in 4K in the media room while I’m streaming on my iPad.

  • Channakt 🇭🇲 Channa K 🇮🇳 (@Channakt) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

NBN has reached my area, which means I am going to have a crappier internet connection, for the past year it's actually been good. But NBN in Australia sucks, especially for a gamer.

  • Brentus88 Brent 🤜🏻🤛🏾 Davidson (@Brentus88) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Aaaand the cycle starts again. @telstra visited, confirmed it was an @NBN_Australia issue & took detailed notes & photos of speed tests which rule out modem issue. Said I’d need an NBN tech visit. So instead today, naturally, I get a text from Telstra saying all is fixed.

  • MKWAnthony Anthony (@MKWAnthony) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Yeah I give up - my neighbour had nbn as of 3 weeks ago and apparently I can't get it installed until April 2021 despite being in the same building as her? That's complete bullshit. Guess I have to stick with my wireless 4GX network until then...

  • wildnez Rahul (@wildnez) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra Like your team has done with my new NBN order which never arrived along with your technician after 3 appointments.. and your pathetically incapable non-existential customer svc.. only implies that Telstra has lost interest in selling new business.

  • littleredwrites Melanie (@littleredwrites) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Oh apparently it’s a nationwide NBN issue. Hooray.

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than a week!! No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just damn amazing service! @Telstra 6 weeks of bullshit text messages vs 1 week and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • wildnez Rahul (@wildnez) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra your customer service team is highly incapable, get rid of them. My new NBN order has been revised 4 times already without my input. And now the technician’s visit date has been changed without any notice. Are you guys interested in signing up new customers at all?

  • heykitarei kit (@heykitarei) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@lindsywood7 @JessxSeven @JessxSeven are you not on NBN? You should be on at least 20 up if you're on a 50 or 100 down plan.

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than 2 weeks. No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just amazing service! @Telstra you need to take a leaf out of their book 6 weeks of bullshit vs 2 weeks and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • lukeacl Luke™ (@lukeacl) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Both home and work internet collapsed this morning at 2am for some reason, weird NBN outage. But because I’m with @Aussie_BB I could easily diagnose connection states, NTD statuses, and perform a port reset on both 1600km away to get them working again without getting out of bed.

  • caskings caskings (@caskings) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Hey @NBN_Australia how does one get your support team to take the wet weather into account for FTTN faults instead of just waiting a day or two for the joint to dry out and close the ticket?

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Telstra have been trying to speak to a human for over a month to get NBN installed and wow 1000 messages “like texting a friend” what a joke! 1 month of circles! This is the worst customer service experience EVER!! #whereismynbn

  • NigelBell19 💧Nigel Bell (@NigelBell19) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@ClaireLouse2403 @cheryl_kernot @bugwannostra yep. in the same way that: - the start of the initial NSW 'lockdown' was pushed back to allow Hillsong event attendees to leave the state & country; - the NBN FTTH backflip aligns nicely with Foxtel now offering a BINGE service that, to be successful, requires more bandwidth. 😐

  • GrahamSmith111 Graham Smith (@GrahamSmith111) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

I am no fan of the NBN but the further investment of $3.5 billion defies logic. 5G is coming with very quick download speeds and cable infrastructure. It’s pouring good money after bad. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Saxdude26 Saxdude26 #DisabledButProud #RaymanRedemption (@Saxdude26) reported

@EmergencyBK NBN proving once again it stands for No Bloody Network. Honestly a tv binge and internet detox is good.

  • alfaspider La DolceVita (@alfaspider) reported

@NBN_Australia cant get NBN to my property so offered #skymuster satellite. At least free to install. Totally useless Speed slow, latency high & data restricted. Back to 4G Asked NBN to remove equipment “costs will start from $420 but it can be significantly higher than this”

  • rtennantwood 𝚁𝚘𝚋𝚒𝚗 𝚃𝚎𝚗𝚗𝚊𝚗𝚝-𝚆𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝙿𝚑𝙳 🌏 (@rtennantwood) reported

My #NBN died last night during the electrical storm. Called tech support this morning. Yes, I've turned it off & on. Yes, I've tried different sockets. Yes, I've hit the reset button. Earliest they can get a techie out to me is 31 Dec. Hotspotting from the phone until then.

  • red_eyed_goat Ash Rogers (@red_eyed_goat) reported

@IamMikeyD_6 Oh the Foxtel sorted itself out once we got power back but now I don’t have NBN because the storm cooked it. Happens too often when we get a storm. Really annoying and there’s no fix other than getting a tech to come out. Being regional makes it even harder to get a tech visit

  • billfredtom Bill Thomas (@billfredtom) reported

Trying to watch #MACvNEW on @paramountplus and the stream keeps disconnecting. We've got 100mbps NBN at full speed, can watch other streaming apps no problems. Frustrating.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

We are aware of some service disruptions caused by power outages after severe storms on the northern beaches of NSW this afternoon. Once power has been restored and when safe, we will assess any damage to the nbn™ network.

  • s_vangroll Staceyvg (@s_vangroll) reported

@Telstra - as my ISP, why don't you give warning of planned outages on @NBN_Australia? Isn't that part of the service provider role?

  • Fr0gst3r Shane (@Fr0gst3r) reported

@Telstra can we please have update on NBN outage for Belconnen, ACT. Received a text this morning saying there was an issue but there is no mention of this on the outage page.

  • rainynight65 AHX (@rainynight65) reported

I am so sick of having such **** internet that I can't turn my computer on without disrupting my wife's SD videostream, and have to play whack-a-mole with the processes that are downloading, or just disconnect from the wifi. **** the people who sabotaged the NBN.

  • MinkleF Gaming4theworld/minkle_floggin (@MinkleF) reported

@novabrush Yea I'm in Australia but I'm not within the NBN network area so it's gotta get send via dish at the nearest tower before going to the NBN cable. So I can't really do anything untill I can get the star link stuff from Elon. But udk when I'll get that
