@Nyscat @BOM_au Satellite has issues such as latency that is very real, but the NBN never managed the satellite to an acceptable standard of service, technical capability building, and accessibility. They throttled the demand in the regions intentionally and through poor decisions.

While I didn’t do a proper speed test, the new service feels significantly faster than the domestic nbn Sky Muster tech, due to its higher network capacity. Just be aware of an approximately 10-minute Wi-Fi black spot when the service switches over.

Just discovered what the folks are paying for a home phone through #Telstra . $50 per month with a $10 discount for concession card. For a freaking home phone via Fixed Wireless NBN that will go down when there is a fire or weather event anyway. @Telstra @NBNCo

We updated our NBN recently and subscribe to @Telstra. Though our connection is much quicker, some sites like Gmail are very slow to load, as if there's some kind of bottleneck stuck in the system. I have not solved this issue, and it's getting old.

@Nyscat @BOM_au Do it. I nearly entered a NBN external challenge with a guy who was a lead tech in the satellite division to do a trial to put them on tractors. I was shocked by how straightforward it would be and how confident he was in how it would work. Australia got let down.
