    @twasink @LesStonehouse @Optus True. Done that. With my health situation, our house is wi-fi’d to the max. I can speak to unlock the front door to let the ambos in. Visitors and tradies cop it worst. And then we had a week of really poor NBN (Thank you, Mr Turnbull.) I was off the air.

    @NBN_Australia Hi Natalie. We have spent hours on the phone. The first technician was Telstra. The second technician was from @NBN_Australia he was unable to fix the board.. we were meant to be contacted last Tuesday.. still nothing!!

    @Pullenvalebirds I've never had any problems with Telstra I must say. But my modem at 3 years old was simply not keeping up. Telstra told me they'll be replacing the modems abt every 2-3 years for free. I've got the updated version now, the one that overrides NBN and power failures.

    The #nbn was so bad @ConNetica had to find an alternative provider for fast, reliable service to operate a data dependent business - this is Sunshine Coast not Bamaga. @leighsales @abc730

    … manage economy and support NDIS AA: Labor did the PBS. Hawke/Keating govt; Rudd and Gillard governments. NDIS, NBN. This govt has held us back. Treading water. Not implementing any social etc reforms. Q7? budget repair/deficit SM: biggest turnaround in over 70 yrs. COVID

    @NBN_Australia The technician advises that there is cable damage near a traffic island. A Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) permit is needed for civil works.

    @Olfella @FetchStep @Vikkik88 Australia's National Carrier should never have been privatised. Nor any of our other services infrastructure. Telstra was sold by, and the NBN ******-up by the Howard/Abbott/Turnbull govts (and Murdoch) so we could be ripped off and suffer the inferior services by private telcos.

    @ShaneOliverAMP A big part of the problem is that starting from the 2010's more of our spending now goes to megatech platforms that extract Australian revenue without the old local multiplier. When $100 went to Ford or Holden, a retailer or a local media company, a large portion recycled through local wages, suppliers, property, logistics and tax. Now when $100 goes to a global ad platform, streaming service or cloud provider much more can disappear offshore through IP, reseller fees and related party charges with far less local employment or supplier spend despite the use of infrastructure like NBN and roads. So government keeps importing demand and taxing workers harder to fund services while more private spending leaks offshore to low local footprint platforms. That extraction is not productive for our economy and is increasingly an issue, especially when profits are being offshored and Australian taxpayers are unfairly carrying the burden.

    Not that I've heard anything of course. But surely, a NBN News presenter or two that WIN are likely to see as being "surplus to requirements" under their new format for local news would make for far better Super Radio Network hosts? Not to mention, have wider name recognition...

    Our NBN is on the fritz so our ISP has thrown us back to 4G. My med prescriptions have somehow been ballsed up. The $160 monitor we had to get for our cat isn't working. It never ends. Why is it so hard? And I wonder, why can't anyone just do their jobs competently any more?

    Superloop is the 3rd RSP. Let's see if I can get more details out of them tomorrow on what path/route of the FTTN is a problem. NBN co seriously can't manage a raffle in a pub.
