NBN. Meant to enhance productivity. Meant to be nation building. Great idea - terrible implementation. Instead we have a second rate system - slow and unreliable #fibretothehome #shameLNP.

You’re hopeless @Telstra and you @NBN_Australia. Had cable, no issues. Got nbn unlimited with a speed boost, costs more, slower speed, drops out regularly and buffers watching Netflix.. customer service non existent!

@YaThinkN @BreakfastNews Yes and if you continue a curve it becomes a circle and we end up behind ourselves and backwards. The NBN is a palindrome for a reason. It’s as much backwards as it forwards. At times we have the worst broadband service you could imagine

The good news is, the apartment I purchased off the plan has FTTP. The bad news is, it’s not NBN FTTP, it’s some “LBN Co” FTTP, whom I have never heard of before.

@VicBStard @NBN_Australia Makes sense. If @Optus had of kept the maintence of the cable up to standard before selling to the NBN then it wouldn't have been an issue. That being said I don't get why the NBN didn't just fix the issues.

@NBN_Australia There has been a ticket raised for 7 days and still you are not able to supply an ETR, this is unacceptable and very poor service. Ive been left with no alternative but to raise it with the TIO, sadly that will be Telstra’s issue not yours, but I need a date this will be resolved

@NBN_Australia We have no alternative as there is no way to contact you directly even though this is your issue, my provider has been given no updates for 7 days.

I just switched from @Optus to @TPG_Telecom 1 week ago. I ordered my NBN and the modem has arrived, but no one came to instal it after few days. The bloody customer service is terrible, worst than @Optus!! I had to be in chatRoom in line, ticket number 600 and after 9 hours...

The NBN people finally came to get us connected yesterday, the technician said there’s a fault and will be back in a fortnight. There’s much bigger issues now, I literally was faced with 1st world problems- only to realise there’s a humanity problem right now.

@Telstra @NBN_Australia Shitty service provides by technical department those don’t even understand the problem and can’t speak proper #English. On phone for last 2 days and business #NBN still not working. #shame #telstra for superb service and technicians in you shitty team.

@max_au @simone_au That's the problem hey. The NBN tech installed the NBN modem, got it to pass, and left. The next tech who came out says it's likely the first tech installed an attenuator to get the activation, then removed it (because apparently the techs are too cheap to leave the attenuator)

How frigging stupid is this, I actually work from home full time and now can’t due to the poor service by @NBN_Australia and @Telstra So good lucky anyone thinking of working from home due to the virus and using NBN - 8 days so far and no resolution and no ETA on a fix

@SoloVideoGamer I keep hearing of these NBN issues from hundreds of people. Only ever had 1 issue and that's when we 1st got connected. No upload speed. 😂 Now I get a constant 94/37mbps unless of course someone is downloading lol

@PaulFletcherMP When I last moved house, getting access to Labor’s original FFTH NBN was a key factor. When I visit friends with the copper NBN I can’t believe how slow their internet is.
-
Freda Nurks

@PaulFletcherMP History: LNP modified the NBN to multi technology mix MTM, and bore us the bastard child we have today. Fact: Fibre to the Node FTTN requires replacement with FTTP- wasted billions. All that struggled with poor Internet during pandemic, remember this at election time. #auspol

@PaulFletcherMP @PaulFletcher Your government delivered an appalling second rate NBN service that urgently needs fixing. My download speeds range from 0.02 to 18.6. The NBN tech advice is at 1370 metres from the node on copper wiring it will provide 40mbps at best.

@PaulFletcherMP Pity the LNP’s nbn is so pitifully inconsistent and unreliable in comparison and that both the fiber-to-the-node and hybrid-fiber-coaxial were outdated and embarrassing from the outset and will need to be replaced in a matter of years. ‘Course that’s someone else’s problem eh?
-

So, if Labor is gonna do fibre, everyday a different MP should be doing media in their electorate, with someone severely impacted during lockdown because their NBN was ****. And the Lib waste, always mention the $$$$ wasted on 19th century technology copper in the 21st century!
-
Darren
(@DoodyDarren) reported
@igfbss @PaulFletcherMP They conveniently ignore the leaked NBN document that proved Labor's costings for FTTP were correct too, as 'per premise' costs had begun to be met right as the coalition shut it all down for *review*.

@AlboMP WELL I just got a call from TPG who is/ was our NBN provider and they are offering their own TPG wireless service for $10 less a month that we are paying now. AND no NBN. So what was all that about?
