Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@rubin_angela When we built our new house it took Telstra 6 months to get the internet connected because they kept telling us it was an existing dwelling despite us giving them proof the old house was knocked down and we purchased the land and built a new one!

@KayeJon32736745 @rubin_angela So why do people continue to do business with them is what puzzles me. There are so many many other companies that offer the same services better.. Many of which build their products on a Telstra platform but shield you from Telstra’s customer service..

Pleased to report that Franz Kafka is alive, well, and working in customer services at Telstra.

@vogrady2132 @rubin_angela I’ve been tempted to do likewise ! 70 odd online operators since March over the same issues - all as useless as the next. They lied, frustrated, covered up. #Telstra came today to install 4G antenna on my roof after they’d stuffed up the local phone tower, the tech told me. 😡

@bullnala @rubin_angela Sadly not always. But if you keep tagging them daily they get around to you eventually. Ombudsman is a much quicker route plus you have the satisfaction of knowing Telstra get hit with a $500 admin fee for every complaint. I’ve found the TIO to be really helpful

@Telstra Hello, my home internet is going extremely slow and initial tests said it was a billing issue, (wasn't due yet) am wondering what's going on?

@rubin_angela Sounds like you contacted an overseas call centre. I've had this experience many times, having to explain my problem repeatedly - on average, I would say 7-8 times PER CALL. It's impossible to tell anybody in Telstra who can change things - they don't want to know.

@rubin_angela You do realise that there are a plethora of other competent options rather than using Telstra. Tell us what you're trying to achieve and we'll help out.
