@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

They're funded via the Universal Service Obligation fund that other telecommunications carrier license holders need to pay a share of their revenue into. Telstra gets a big fat cheque every year for USOs from industry peers. They've never lost money on it.

@electricfuture5 What would Telstra sell if this happens? For too long Telstra has been saying they got the best coverage. If this happens, every corner in the world could be covered, albeit probably not at the best speeds but you could atleast make phone calls in an emergency.

@Telstra Yes! But my point is that this is adversely affecting an entire suburb intermittently for over 18 months & now for over 2 weeks…again! We NEED Telstra to step up, mange the issue for us all, not one by one.

@telstra which genius changed the payment system for mobiles? Used to press Pay Now. But just to annoy us you now require us to login with a username and password. Just how I love to waste time! Tried to complain via 'positive feedback'

@Telstra if I wanted to go into store to change service from prepaid to post paid I would have. Why is it so difficult to do yourself online?

@Telstra That is THIS outage. The problem is the frequency and duration of outages in Bonnet Bay over the past 18 months or so. It is like Groundhog Day.

@Telstra Thanks. It would be really good if you could escalate it, ask gor a case manager for all of the affected Telstra customers. We are all reporting the same problem, doing the same dance, as individuals We all know it is a NBN system prob NOT our home modems Optus great Telstra NOt

@DFWatercolours @MikeCarlton01 Telstra is easily THE WORST. Last week I got a $500+ credit for over-charges in 2013. When bills were queried at the time they swore there was no error. Took nine years. And another three hours on the phone to find out precisely where the error was.
