Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@SpotifyCares Hi - as my message said, this is clearly a larger issue and telling people to DM for troubleshooting isn’t helpful. Nothing works. Like a lot of people on here I’m in Australia and use Telstra. The problem is with mobile data, and the usual steps won’t fix that.

@Telstra 20 years ago you told us the nearby mobile tower was facing in the wrong direction for us and we could fix that by buying a repeater ($1500) to put in our roof.

Spotify IPhone App won’t let me log in nor play music on Mobile Data (Telstra), yet will via mobile data hotspot to laptop. The app works with wifi but not when I’m outdoors on 4g? What’s going on @Telstra - @Spotify have said it’s a carrier issue???

@GrogsGamut Yep. Some arsehole has gotten hold of my number and has shared it with about a thousand of his scammer mates. Of course @telstra, as the owner of the underlying infrastructure could stop spoofers in a minute if they took any kind of responsibility - but that will never happen.
