Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well this is interesting, got Telstra notifications urging me to do data roaming, just checked out of curiosity, unsecured network no less and turned my wifi off when we got to Berlin and it has been working just fine, so worth bearing in mind when you travel next :)

@governorgaz Being an ex technical employee of Telstra, (89-2000) I have stuck with their service for pretty much my adult life. They used to take such pride in customer service, especially once competition came into existence. To see what they have become now, really does break my heart..

@BadlyDrawnRL Apparently a lifelong Telstra customer and got hit at a relatively new email address. Might be scam emails now mimicking the Optus email. Ugh.

@ShereeJohns I left Telstra for Optus 😳. Telstra takes some beating as far as crap organisations go. Up with Jetstar imo.

@DatelineSBS Dear Dateline. Have you asked the telcos why their technology allows phone connections showing false numbers. This is half the scamming problem. #Telstra #Optus #DatelineSBS

@RichardKGrump @TPG_Telecom There are only 3 telcos in Australia- Telstra, FLOPTUS and Vodafone. Any other telcos are just wholesale customers of those 3. For my mobile I use circles which is on the 4G FLOPTUS network.

@TheShovel Seems like an epic Telstra marketing ploy...... Too bad to those 10000 optus users who had their data leaked anyway
