Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Telstra Lloyds Bank in UK knew immediately what issue was when I called: they are besieged by Aussies who can't get automated calls, all with Telstra. Number connects fine then Telstra instantly hangs up on it, even if I add the number to my contacts. I do not have an alternative number.

Just enough internet signal to tweet. Not enough to use the Telstra troubleshooting tool to report the massive fault we've been living with since it started raining, like, months ago now. And not enough to watch a movie when I'm feeling sick. I'm playing records instead.

As if the cost of living hasn't already skyrocketed under this incompetent luddite govt. And Telstra force customers to include a VOIP phone - THAT NO ONE wants or needs. There is no choice! And being a longstanding customer stands for nothing anymore. /3

@droverdriver61 I go to the recovery hub most mornings and help out in the kitchen while my phone and battery pack get charged in the Telstra caravan. Data works fine but still can’t call out from downtown Lismore. Using Messenger to voice call.

@_markagregory @acccgovau @Telstra I had similar problems living in a low socioeconomic area. If there's a lot of people with little money, they forgo a fixed line connection, and just use their phone, so cells become overloaded quickly. From my experience, low download, high upload, is usually a sign of this

@Telstra I'll be paying $25 more just to get what I am getting now! That's 16% more than what I am paying for the same service & a phone I never wanted? The inflation rate is touted at 3%?, wages have stagnated & everything else has gone up. Who's gonna fix this @PaulFletcherMP ?

@Telstra Sven the problems are constant and ongoing. One employee can not fix them if the business model is flawed.
