Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Attempting to resolve a simple query via the @Telstra message service. Absolutely absurd. Appalling customer service.

@weezmgk Unfortunately Telstra is the worst of the 3 networks where I live (Vodafone via Kogan is the best).

@Telstra All of the problems stem from 1km of copper and node "maintenance" that always breaks more than it fixes.

@Telstra Perhaps the support team wasn't aware. They didn't want me to connect anything else other than the GEN2 Modem 😔

@Telstra Yes I have. 3rd party device is connected via the Gen 2 router. According their logs the Gen 2 loses Internet connection from time to time. Yesterday was a pretty bad day including Modem was flakey too.

@Telstra Just been told that Telstra cannot provide a landline to the farm, which once had a landline, and still has poor mobile reception. “I have checked and see it is not current available at the provided address. I am sorry for the inconvenience happened.”

@Telstra My complaint is why did Shane not want to see me? I told him my phone problem on Saturday Booked in to see him 12 noon on Sunday but he has gone lunch, to me this is terrible service. In my world you make a booking to see someone you should keep the appointment.

@Telstra I have been dealing with these issues for years, multiple modem changes do nothing, NBN techs have tested from my end and the problems are external to my equipment. But the old "you're connected, that's good enough" policy means no matter how slow it gets, nothing will be done.

@Telstra But I guess she can walk the 10kms to the nearest free payphone when next she needs help.
