    @mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

    As per Telstra (Submission No 7.2 to the 000 Inquiry) thus far: - Maintenance work on timing equipment --> Telstra restarts the box. - On restart, the GPS card didn't work as expected because of an intentional design change to fix an earlier issue --> GPS PNT flaw was triggered.

    @merchant_s35416 @Bender_Aus Privatising telecom was the right thing to do. And selling off Telstra was an even better idea. Both were drains in the economy. Trying to get telecom to fix anything used to be a pain in the butt. Look at NBN, over priced garbage. There's nothing wrong with a user pays system. Why should people in Horsham pay for a road they don't use in Melbourne?

    @realRick_AUS Don’t hold your breath! The aus government will reprivatise Telstra and ban Starlink before that happens. We’ll get higher prices and a shitter service!

    Breaking: Telstra has admitted in Estimates they were repeatedly warned since 2022 by the software manufacturer that their outage-causing software was out of date inc a reminder early 2026, & Telstra even discovered a “fault” with it themselves in Oct 2025, but still did nothing
