Apparently Telstra is now saying it wasn't an attack but an internal issue. Hope that is true. At least the issue has been fixed.

@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@KathrynHeyman @Telstra I did the chatbot thing about two months ago, it was excruciating and I fear for any elderly people who have problems with this telco. Disastrous failure of service.

@Telstra Not me-but a complaint is winging its way to you. SiL had her phone/NBN cut off ——because her neighbour was moving house. Obvs no safety features involved, shift worker so had no idea what had happened.

@Telstra @monkeymoo987 Your 24/7 live chat is a fking joke! People have to wait for hours to get the response and have to be asked what the request is again and again! Your call centre never has a person to answer the call. The funny part is it always tells you to call another line...

@KathrynHeyman @Telstra I think particularly in Victoria, everyone was just home with their terrible internet so they were calling & getting no response. I know optus had an automated message for months just saying "we're too busy, try again"!!!
