@Optus Thanks Jono. I freakin LOVE your network and have never once had an issue Optus and should not have signed a new bloody contract with Telstra...lesson learned.... 😓

It’s taken 53minutes for a Telstra live chat representative to tell me that the fault is with my modem.... God I hope that’s the worst of it.

@dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days it’s still not lit. I’m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

Had an interesting call with @Telstra. I’ve been a velocity fibre customer since 2012. I don’t have a smart modem (they didn’t exist in 2012). Have had two major outages in the past few months. Called them to ask about getting a smart modem. 1/2

@Telstra I am not holding my breath. It’s been this way for years. Just fearful someone will be at risk in a life threatening situation and cannot contact emergency services due to poor signal.

@Telstra @Telstra replied, thanks for being a loyal customer since 2012 but you can’t have a smart modem. I asked is there any way I can get a smart modem to avoid having no home phone and internet when the fibre goes out. They said no, sorry there is no way you can have one. 2/2

@Telstra Hello @Telstra just wondering if you're going to respond to the perfectly reasonable question I asked 2 days ago? You're usually quick to respond so it seems odd. Perhaps if you're unwilling to answer questions on the subject you should stop promoting it via your mobile network?

No internet, can't log into Telstra app to tell them. No phone books any more, can't call cos I don't know the number. No phone directory assistance any more. Drove 20ks 2get reception. We are a sitting duck thanks to Telstra monopoly. #auspol #Labor better get in and fix sht.
