David Brown (@db0984) reported from Gold Coast, Queensland@Telstra Damage is already done. I’ve been on 24/7 chat via the app and telstra basically put the ownership back onto me when it was @Telstra’s error. So in our chat conversation we agreed to disagree and what should have been a credit back on onto my account turned to a tio complaint

K•A•N•E (@kanethesaint) reported@ronInBendigo @RaymondKeown3 The Belong (Telstra) plan is $25 only once you have activated a service with them it will appear when you go to change plans via their app. 10GB data per month with rollover, if you ever exceed it, it doesn't charge extra just slows to 1Mbps.
-
Kate/Pookie Immaculate Sister of the Butter Knife (@I_loveleft) reportedI'd believe that, especially back in the day when I was with Telstra, any time you rang support, it was always an Indian voice at the other end. Probably still is. They seem to gravitate to a lot of tele communication jobs over there.

Brian Basson (@BassonBrain) reported🇦🇺 Australia: Telstra said over 200,000 of its mobile customers connect to @Starlink satellites each day! ...and over 2.7 million customers have connected at least once since launch A Telstra spokesperson said that customer uptake is "exciting", but the real-world impact is more important. "What stands out to us the most is not the numbers themselves, but what they represent," said the spokesperson. "A message home from a remote road, a quick check-in during a trip away, or peace of mind in places beyond the range of our mobile network."
-
deirdre ritchie (@deirdreritchi10) reportedSame with Telstra. Anyone who has hearing issues finds it very frustrating when you are speaking with someone from overseas with a strong accent.
-
Antony (@Antony_Collins) reported@Telstra you absolutely suck. Both my kids are overseas (18 and 20) and one is out of data and I can’t add more for both. I’ve been talking to Telstra for 8 hours and still no outcome. My daughter has no data left: Telstra suggested we get a 3rd party ESIM. The Worst Telco EVER.

NewsTongue (@NewsTongueX) reported🔴 PayphoneGo: 19-year-old built Pokemon Go for Australia's 14,000 payphones Kris Norris, a Brisbane student, launched PayphoneGo in April. Players call a number from payphones across Australia, enter a nine-digit ID, and accumulate points—20 for first visit, 10 for second, then 5 and 1. First visitors can leave voicemails heard by subsequent callers. Norris said the game aims to encourage exploration and revive "old internet: no ads, no tracking, so few cookies." Telstra operates the payphones under Australia's universal service guarantee. Calls have been free since mid-2021. The company reports over 100 million calls since fees were scrapped, with usage tripling.
