If I had lost it emotionally they would have blamed me after all they put me through with their lack of service and common decency. We are zero to them, except for the income. The FlexHD connects wirelessly to the UDM and forms part of the mesh network. Ideally, I’d plug it into an Ethernet back haul but the place isn’t wired.

This raises a question whether these calls were made in Telstra only cells. If yes, this raises a possible use case for satellite, for roaming carriers to beam to these cells for emergency.

Paddy (@Dabatsau) reported@7NewsMelbourne But you still have to go with an Aus provider as they own the leases on the spectrum it uses and are the only ones to provide service in buildings and high density areas. Optus & Telstra already can provide sms via starlink with calls and data in a few years. So no - the major telcos are not under threat.

Back story is interesting - same folks at work behind the scenes. Yes, GDP went up, but wealth only flowed to the top end. At least Labor under pressure, only semi privatised Telstra and retained controlling shares. Qantas was different. Comm Bank should have at least mostly stayed public -my Mum only had a chance at getting a house because of it, but if we add in subsidies and failures, it has largely cost taxpayers far more and not just financially.
