Naomi Elle (@naomi_t_81) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales@mels_mck @Telstra It sucks but the easiest way I’ve found if you are out of contract is just switch to another provider with your new name, I would think @Telstra could handle this but treating someone with dignity may be a bit much for them.

💧🌱pragmaticleftie 🏴🇮🇪💔 (@roseannebyrne) reported from Kiama, New South Wales@LesStonehouse @Telstra @Optus Oh He's. It does seem older folk were totally neglected in all of this. No NBN no phone. Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.
-
Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales@tuppaware @jono_hayward Worth mentioning though that Telstra have removed that note on their outage page.

Alexandria Brangwin (@AlexBrangwin) reported from Wollongong, New South Wales@LoneVaultWander Being in one of the housing estates ruined by @Telstra due to their pair gain nightmare...I never even had proper internet...never had a squad. miss_84 (@Miss__84) reportedAgaiinnnnnnn @Telstra again. A war widow with a serious heart condition without the use of her phone because of an nbn outage. But how does that affect the mobile phone useage Youre the absolute worst company. She feels cut off from the world. But hey she has the internet
-
Lasindu Nambige (@LasinduLive) reportedSpaceX is now the most valuable telecom company on earth and it doesn't have a single retail customer yet. Telstra, Optus, Verizon — all about to find out what happens when one guy with rockets decides your industry is too slow, too expensive, and too protected by government.
-
MR Reilly (@mrr78504) reported@econoadabsurdam @LeeRespecter The NBN might plausibly have increased productivity if it had retained its original scope (A FTTN fibre backbone network independent of Telstra that would allow telecommunication companies to compete on an equal footing). Instead it got rolled out first in Tasmania.
-
Andrew Cattermole (@Zenandy1962) reported@ArtistAffame @Brocklesnitch I used to ring Telstra after my night shift and I’d doze off and wake up and still be on hold so I’d hang up and go to bed and try again next morning.
-
tom flynn (@tomdflynn) reportedI missed a Telstra bill Now my phone can't make calls Paid the bill yesterday My phone still can't make calls Very long term Telstra customer Time to move
-
Sifu Strider (@RayzSkieyWalker) reportedAussies need Starlink, it is far faster, more reliable and more secure than the Telstra backbone - which FYI is open access to bad actor hackers who get into your PC via INSECURE modem design.
-
Unique Images Australia (@UniqueImagesAus) reported@BassonBrain @Jessdistrict11 @SpaceX I live 10km from the ocean, between two major cities. No phone signal in many many locations on our major highways. Cannot send a text while talking on the phone. I have two Telstra numbers, highest cost plan. Without Starlink mini mounted in everyone of our commercial cars, no comms. Australia has no world class highway connecting cities. Has no coastal phone network or fast internet. It’s 2026 and I though I would be in a flying car, reality is I cannot make a call and text simultaneously.
-
Kouva (@Kouvaau) reported@AFL @kylie @Telstra Big yawn.
-
Salt N pepper 🌶️ (@Partytime63) reported@MarkAClarkson @Telstra I left Telstra years ago and not going back unless they are the only one left in the market. Telstra is the most expensive service provider in the world. They are also not honest about the blackspot in many parts of remote areas.
-
Loftwah (@loftwah) reported@mwfowlie @Telstra Telstra has been patchy in our area for a while now. Gonna have to port. Can’t justify this rate for trash service. 13Mbps down at 71ms at best.
