@Optus Yes I get that but it does state on your FAQ's regarding the situation to call and that's the issue - you can't which is absolutely poor performance. Can you confirm when contact will occur as in how many days or weeks till I potentially find out being a former customer?

@aparachick @anna_prole @JustJul77588855 Can't speak for Aussie but TPG own network. Anybody know, do the piggyback players simply use Optus infrastructure but maintain client data on their own system/s.🤔🤔

In the last week or so, I’ve been getting 4-5 spam calls per day. Previously they happened once a month or so. Wonder if it’s got to do with me being an Optus customer and their massive data breach… which I’m still waiting to hear if I’m a part of

If laughable that @PeterDutton_MP suggests the #OptusDataBreach is a problem for the government. It’s an Optus issue about a breach in Optus customer data. Let Optus sort things out and investigate first. #auspol

@Optus I have tried to call your call centre re the hack to see if my info being a former customer and my mum's account still being an active customer was compromised but your call centre is closed. This shouldn't be the case and a dedicated team/number should be available 24/7

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Why did you not encrypt the customer data table in Teradata? Kelly Bayer Rosmarin is not fit to be CEO. Her track record with the Banking Royal commission at CBA proves she is absolutely incompetent, along with Ian Narev!

@RichardKGrump Couple of IT peeps on RN just a moment ago. Of opinion real internal system problems given what Optus has said. 🤔 Real = should NOT have happened as a result of poor system/s.

My partner got the email from Optus and my jaw hit the floor reading it. “Don’t worry the network is fine…but your drivers licence, date of birth, name, email, and phone number have all been compromised”. I can’t think of a *worse* possible breach.

@craigthomler @stilgherrian If I understand it right it’s an Optus CUSTOMER human error or an Optus EMPLOYEE human error. Either way, it’s an Optus company problem and responsibility.

@send2mc @trevorlong Yes, I also am having Optus email issues. No point ringing up as the lines are already blocked up with people worried about the data breach, remember don’t shoot the messenger even if they are in a OS call centre.

Current & former Optus customers have had their data stolen. It begs the question, why does Optus keep former customer’s data? #optusfail

@wyvernsrose @sassycarrie From my years with them, dropped a few years ago, I have zero confidence Optus has any idea at all the extent of the hack. Utterly incompetent at customer service, technical support, the lot.👎😡🤬

I want to know why Optus still has my details, I haven’t been a customer in over 6 years. They failed me as a customer, and now they’ve failed me as a non-customer. I’ve checked, they lost two of my current email addresses to the hackers. That won’t be all they’ve lost.

@Terri_1987a We have a large Optus shop in our local Westfield. Went past there yesterday and again today. Not a customer in the shop, heaps of staff. 4 passes over the two days, So I think they have a huge problem which will take some over coming.

@Fitzchivalryfa1 @WonderfulDay01 @CraigHill01 I have only ever been an Optus customer through Virgin Mobile using the Optus network and ceased to be a customer May 2009. Have been advised mine and my partner’s licence number was breached so I guess they hold customer data to throw around for a longer period than stated.

@dannynoeljackso @Anthony_Klan @mezi13 I've tagged my licence through VicRoads despite this ID supposedly not part of my hacked data. Frankly, I trust the state based departments far more than I'd trust Optus at this point in time. Sorry that your ID has been compromised, that's awful.

Thanks @Optus you have confirmed that indeed I have compromised documents, and your fix is to have me use public money for a document replacement and a subscription for @Equifax who them selves suffered a breach of 166M customer records. A comedy that writes itself.
