Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Kincumber and nearby locations:

  • paloappie Chelsea Feltham (@paloappie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

After two weeks of no internet with @Optus due to “back end issues” with my relocation, I was told it could be a further 21 days to get connected. I cancelled my service. 30 mins after submitting the form on the @Aussie_BB website, my NBN was connected. Customer service folks!

  • skylxrksays SKYLXRK (@skylxrksays) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Another day another NBN outage... and right as I got home. Pleeeease don’t let this turn into an ongoing saga like it was with Optus HFC 🙃

  • EICostheta Reg Boyle (@EICostheta) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@myknittingwool @Auspol So many. Even my own mobile Optus network module for when the NBN crashes. These adds even overide the mute. I'm pretty sure its Google selling ad space.

  • paloappie Chelsea Feltham (@paloappie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I need some help from someone who isn’t totally incompetent. I’ve been without internet for a couple of weeks now and I’m getting the run around from your call centres once again (this seems to be a regular occurrence) and I’m about ready to make a complaint to the TIO

  • superman2144 2144Superman (@superman2144) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @networkoutage why is my nbn not working at Cumberland Rd, Auburn 2144 ...

  • MikePearsall93 Mike Pearsall (@MikePearsall93) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Compare this to @Optus taking 6 weeks and four different plans to move my internet service 3 doors down in the same street. 😒

  • DemonicVel Vel (@DemonicVel) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@LurkingWolfox @hendikins Depending on how plans shape up next year might switch to optus. I have 0 issues with the Telstra network, and you couldnt pay me to ever use Vodafone again as their coverage in the train to work is useless.

  • trickyricky_12 RickyV (@trickyricky_12) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    **** @Optus I'm not caving in 🤪

  • VickswFett Vicksw (@VickswFett) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus canceled (without my consent) my previous contract with unlimited internet and the way the solve the problem was forcing their new plans with limited data at home. Internet services in Australia are the worst I’ve seen. 😪

  • BeauGiles Beau 🏳️‍🌈 (@BeauGiles) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@zacorytaylor I just moved to Vodafone today, $45 for 50GB Considered Optus, but new plans are awful compared to a few weeks back (since Telstra played their cards, now the others are moving too)

  • scott_thewspot Scott (@scott_thewspot) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@zyzzyvamedia @adam_turner @Optus I never call optus for support, I've fixed all my issues via their twitter.

  • _SarahMcPhee Sarah McPhee (@_SarahMcPhee) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

When you've been an @Optus customer for more than a decade but their credit team denies your new phone request because you have a QLD licence and live in Sydney. Waste of a day.

  • meggsie79 MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@CynicalAU @Optus @TPG_Telecom Don’t do it @TPG_Telecom are terrible. At present we haven’t had email access for almost 3 days and they seem in no rush to rectify the issue. Also my NBN installation was an experience I’d prefer to forget. 15 missed appointments and sub-standard speeds

  • BoultR 💧RichardB ActiveCitizen (@BoultR) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@geoff_wales Was with Amaysim. Good service, great price But, Optus transmission just doesn't work in my new apartment! So had to say goodbye to Amaysim, reluctantly.

  • MartySaliba Marty Saliba (@MartySaliba) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I have never experienced a company as frustrating as Optus! I've had an ongoing issue now for 4 weeks, I'm a migrating vividwirless customer... I know you guys are having issues with the old $89 unlimited plan from Vivid but you don't keep your customers updated!!! 4weeks!

  • Stevenqoz Steven Quilty (@Stevenqoz) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@DeanRosario We did pay $130 a month Foxtel, now get Optus EPL, get Netflix thru a daughters login, Stan with Optus and Kayo thru my son’s second log in. Upshot we threatened to bin Foxtel and now get it for $39. Selfish but was so happy when Foxtel had all EPL. Optus very good now👍

  • imJoskii Mike Joskii (@imJoskii) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Still having connection issues but noticed Optus are doing upgrades to my area, which explains it. Could be good to go as soon as this weekend or as far as mid-Sept. Can likely still stream Judgement.

  • rtyule Ryan T Yule (@rtyule) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@wwos would you kindly **** these Wagner and Optus commercials off. #ashes2019 #Ashes19

  • nuenp Newbie_I_Am (@nuenp) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Tonight marks another @Telstra #fail. Simple request to port a no. over and it has taken a week to do! Then I find out the the issue is from @Telstra end #WTF. Moving my services to @Optus #incompetent #telstrafail

  • rtyule Ryan T Yule (@rtyule) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@wwos can you please **** these Wagner and Optus commercials off please. #ashes2019 #Ashes19 #ashes

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ReeceTre1 Reece Tre (@ReeceTre1) reported

@sassycarrie You’re paying for a service that isn’t being delivered. It’s as simple as that - the detail doesn’t matter. A Optus crédit doesn’t cut it, and you are entitled to a refund for you’re entire contract if you go hrd enough with them. Don’t take no for an answer.

  • _SocialDemocrat Leftwing Bastard (@_SocialDemocrat) reported

@raywilton4 I don’t do Optus or Telstra. Plenty of other service providers out there.

  • Aiydee Dave Aked (@Aiydee) reported

@carlyfindlay I couldn't reply to your most recent post about your iPhone. I can't message you either. What has happened to your phone is not related to Optus hack. I'm happy to provide support and assistance. I'm an IT Engineer specializing in this.

  • Moldick1 Musical Theatre Geek (@Moldick1) reported

@sassycarrie @JaneoOakley @Optus That’s not true You can cancel direct debit at the bank end Go into a branch tomorrow

  • Brisbane4000 Capital (@Brisbane4000) reported

I was working at #Optus when the prepaid mobile service started. New customers could buy 'starter kits', only a sim card, without providing any identification. Police eventually demanded ID to be collected and stored due to crime investigations being hindered by burner phones.

  • Kazie151 Kazie (@Kazie151) reported

Just got an email from Optus saying as a previous customer I've been impacted. I wanna know why ******** they're still holding onto my details when I'm no longer a customer. Especially ID deets. WTAF?!

  • Swampyagain Chris Tennent 🇦🇺 (@Swampyagain) reported

@byronkaye . @Optus created this problem they had no need to hold id data beyond the second they deem it as authentic & valid as basis to open an account they're revealed as fools for storing it needlessly we now pay the price i for one, want to be a part of a class action against optus

  • carlyfindlay Carly Findlay OAM (she/her) (@carlyfindlay) reported

My phone - iPhone 11 - is not typing properly (the wrong letters come up compared to the ones I have pressed, and fast too), is flicking between apps when I'm not touching it and slowing down. Have switched it on and off a lot. Is it impacted by the Optus security hack? Gulp!

  • bluemoonmonday SUMMER BLUE (@bluemoonmonday) reported

@CommBank hi my info has been breached due to the optus hack..I alerted you during the service nsw hack do I need to formally notify you again?

  • WriterEbony Ebony Oaten🌻she/her 4x 💉🦠🌈🫂💗🕉 (@WriterEbony) reported

@nameshiv Also, they hackers now apparently have enough data to open accounts in people's names and rack up massive bills. People (maybe even me) will get terrible credit ratings because of an Optus hack, but it's up to me to 'watch out for this'?
