Hi @NSWOmbo what can you recommend me to do now that @optus still hasn’t improved service after 7 days of no internet in 1,5 week and multiple complaints from my side. I have a 24 mo contract and wish to get rid of it to get myself a better service with a diff provider.

@athinscar @LULZmag @eddotse @AR15COM The block is ISP based. Voda, Telstra and Optus apparently couldn't stay in their lanes and act as service providers. They decided to be 'Proactive' and make decisions on content for Australians. Not a government mandated block, not even suggested - just over reaching.

If I walk into your store and ask for something simple, and you stop listening to what I'm saying, because your attention is focused on the next customer, I'm gonna take my money & walk out. @Optus, if you're interested, your sales staff suck.

One reason I switch to Optus from Vodafone was because Vodafone reception in my work toilets are shit. Also 80gb for $50 is not bad, way better than $70 35gb.

@JosephCarrozzi @fitba11 @tonyising @KevinAirs @MickLynch_Age @robvad10 @GuidoTresoldi @rdhinds A major issue has been the switching of O/S leagues TV rights from Foxtel to Optus. I don’t think this has been adequately explored as to losing the eyes of football supporters

@AuzzieKing I'm assuming the AFP downloaded the data leak that was made. I don't think the Optus email went to all clients, as colleague #1 didn't get an email, but colleague #2 did. Crap communication by Optus either way.

@BradSabbath @mel_wright123 I think, from my personal experience with Optus, Telstra, NBN is that we are dealing with organizations driven by the profit motive, providing a reliable & safe service often comes last and requires government directives and threats, otherwise it's business as usual
-
dan
(@AuzzieKing) reported
@imandings Apparently (this is all chinese whispers) Optus will be sending out more emails to tell people they have been affected. However, they are only going to tell those who have had 'serious' impacts/most info leaked. Pretty crap communication.

@cameronwilson I haven’t been an Optus customer since 2009, and I still got an email. Presumably if they still had my information on file, that’d be a breach of the APP.
-

@sirgunner1886 @Optus they take so long to reply that you get forced to log off.. then you have to re sign in and the whole process starts again at the back of the queue
-
Suzie

@choiceaustralia From what I am reading online, number 1 on your handy list is the most problematic as Optus are being vague about what has been compromised, using vague words like "id documents". Plus down playing what is, for all involved, a very serious breach of privacy. #OptusAccountability

@HailMarxism @sidherian Placing the onus on many probably poor and vulnerable customers to sue a corporation is short-sighted. Better option: governments re-issues documents for those notified as affected and directly bills/sues Optus themselves :) :)

@MadsMelbourne @Optus Yeah they are. Download the form. It would have taken a normal person 20 seconds to work it out. If they're into at least their 10th month, they're an idiot.
