Dear: @Telstra the customer service in your George St, Sydney store on Wednesday was terrible. I'm switching after 20+ years to @Optus ❌❌❌❌❌

So @Optus has replied to me, to let me know that "some offers are available to new and re-contract customers only," totally missing the point of my original complaint.

Don’t go with @Optus for NBN it takes them 30+ days just to relocate you in the same building. Isn’t that awesome service. Think it’s a case of them being too big too care about their consumers these days.

@Toddy2102 @Optus @NBN_Australia Thats Correct. I rang Optus while the tech was still here and said - do not switch anything over until we discuss the issue of the NBN modem and router being DOWNSTAIRS now when my cable connection comes straight into my office which is UPSTAIRS.

@Spoonyman @tasmaniatalks it works by using any tower. Not just telstra, optus, vodaphone, etc. That's how it improves service for emergency locally. Mainly it's just a work-in-any-country solution as it's a part of the cell phone spec irrespective of provider/country.

Great @Optus that we can see a graph breaking down data usage but not so great that last point on graph Tue 29 Jan. Not helpful if graph doesn’t update more frequently!!!!

@igriscti @Telstra @Optus Obliviously they haven’t a clue! Being @Telstra they probably made the engineer, who could figure it out and fix it, redundant

@Optus please let your customer know what on earth is going with your internet outage. Contrary to what your website tells people, you’re keeping customers in the dark, not “in the loop”!!!

@AUSFestivus My date is April 2019, apparently. We get HFC. The Optus HFC service here was so bad I called the TIO in about repeated lies and poor performance, and they ordered Optus to let me out of contract with no penalties. Telstra HFC has been great though, other than tiny upstream.

@haruki_zaemon @Aussie_BB I use Internode (only makes sense if you already have home broadband) and Optus. Their network is not noticeably worse, and sometimes better, than Telstra.

Why doesn't Optus have a bug bounty? They probably ran the numbers and saw that getting hacked cost less than paying for the trillions of security problems they have.

@cadickason64 @kpmsubs @ClareONeilMP OMG this happened to me about 3 years ago when I left Optus. I paid all outstanding bills and requested cancellation many times. They just kept charging even though we had engaged another telco. I kept screenshots of my text chats with Optus support 🧵1/2

So how do the @Optus hackers demand a ransom? What will they ‘return’? Data that they have already copied? The damage has been done and is irreversible.

@redruby17 @Jeremy_Kirk It’s a terrible position in which to be and it could be anyone else tomorrow. But this was an entirely avoidable situation had Govt & Optus chosen wiser courses of action. Now they seek to sheet home the effects to customers & revictimise them. And that’s not on. #OptusDataBreach

@abcnews Yeh, sure. Where is the evidence to verify the data has been deleted? Data was stolen, can you truly trust a hacker/thief at their word? @Optus still have questions to answer, such as WHOSE DATA HAS BEEN STOLEN. WHAT SUPPORT ARE THEY PROVIDING I have had ZERO contact from optus

Everyone out here complaining that the #Optushack only asked for $1M 'because it will get you **** all in this economy', yet fail to give Optus **** for not parting with the paltry $1M to keep our information safe despite making $2B in profit last year.
