@Optus @afrikanke On the contrary, I’ve just reported a similar issue to @OptusSport for the #LIVBUR match. Picture quality is dreadful, was the same last week too

  • singh_shrinkdev Devvrat Singh (@singh_shrinkdev) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@0ptus my optus app is a shame!!!! Specially for customer trying to activate the sim/ esim. What a use less customer journey where we are just being bumped from one operator to another, messaging app to phone to wait to someone saying need to transfer to another department.

  • cbiggins Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

We're into 1hr and 40mins with 3 different reps into this chat and nobody can tell me why my service was deleted or how long reinstating will take. Thanks @Optus

  • sj_sally Sally Fletcher (@sj_sally) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus really disappointed with your customer service as free a fault here that you haven’t fixed we were promised a dongle would arrive by priority today - did not arrive - 5 people working here including one doing year 11 exams #terribleserviceoptus

  • Thought_Patrol Thought Patrol (@Thought_Patrol) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @nbn down in Turramurra. 4G working. Been out for over 1 hour. No message from @optus to customers. Work from here with international clients and rely on consistent internet access. Almost like a third world country. We have to do better. Imagine the productivity losses!

  • cbiggins Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Apparently @Optus has "deleted" (their words) my NBN connection. I have to wait 48hrs for their stuff up. Considering I've started moving my 5 phone services to @Telstra I think my NBN will be next. Been with Optus for sooo many years but lately wow it's been bad.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NLC081 @Optus @NBN_Australia 9th of June it started Lots of Development in the street Someone must have cut something. We were down for a week NBN came out finally and got it back but ever since my next door neighbour get my phone calls on his bill Took us about 6 weeks to even get someone to believe us

  • MimiBlueMtns Margaret Williams (@MimiBlueMtns) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@StanAustralia Please fix the football coverage previously with Optus.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

If you believe the PM wasn’t aware of the NSW plan and was involved in creating it to take the heat off him then I’ve got a great Optus HFC network you might like to buy.

  • robertmbarnes Robert Barnes CAE 🇵🇬🇦🇺 (@robertmbarnes) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus still no nbn connection in Jannali. How many times you expect us to turn off and on the modem?! I’ll have 2/30 days worth of my monthly fee back thanks. Can’t work when you can’t provide the service. I’m done with you. #finalstraw

  • luisvictor76 Luis Olivares (@luisvictor76) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@brettpfarrell @binge_help @MuchmoreBillie Yes I’m with Optus. Reset everything and it worked for 5 minutes and down again

  • MarkBilton Mark Bilton (@MarkBilton) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@TPG_Telecom Pretty much reliable on internet! Are you sure you've not been hacked?? No response from your website/C.service! Last week was Optus, this week TPG! It's like you are restricted going out and using internet! Lol I can't exhaust my data! 😢

  • hogesonline Amanda Hogan (@hogesonline) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

From @Optus : NBN will be down all day Thursday. You'll be cool hotspotting from your phone right? #remotelearning

  • chuppa Steve (@chuppa) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Thought I might try the service before I move my services… How do I sign up for this trial in the app if I don’t have an Optus login? Want to use esim.

  • AlyJnr Alyson Andrews (@AlyJnr) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mkitteringham @Optus Optus is down in Chatswood too.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

9 weeks. @Optus @NBN_Australia still haven’t sorted out the problem. To try as a solution they terminated out accounts - me and next door - so we’ve been down all day. Oh ....NBN can’t come until tomorrow. The incompetence is stunning

  • cbiggins Christian two jab 💉💉 (@cbiggins) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Haha @optus tech asking if we can use our backup 4g because they deleted our NBN service. Nope. No Optus mobile coverage here. It's like a bad dream.

  • scottjamesperry Scott James Perry (@scottjamesperry) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Absolutely no warning from @Optus that my broadband service is having planned outage for 2 bloody days. Do they realise people are working from home.

  • nickzeppelin Nick Carroll (@nickzeppelin) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@OptusSport @Optus the silence on your poor stream quality is deafening #optus #rubbish #LIVBUR

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ShyttyP Shytty the Poonicorn (@ShyttyP) reported

@TheCynicalHun @mamma_mia111 Completely incorrect. Also the issue at Optus was cause by a dumb **** who opened an internet port to a testnet connection system that went to the open internet bypassing their internal VPN. "Hacker" just happened to conveniently be tapping this port at the time...

  • neonsignal Glenn McIntosh (@neonsignal) reported

bit rich for #ausgov to force telcos to retain sensitive data yet take zero responsibility for the security implications - not to excuse #Optus, but the problem is systemic

  • TimMelbourne2 TimMelbourne (@TimMelbourne2) reported

@hughriminton Optus wouldn't know how many of us were affected. They wont help anyone, it's an Optus circus. Let alone Vic Roads trying to get your license replaced.

  • dwightwalker Dwight Walker (@dwightwalker) reported

so @optus will fight to not pay any compensation for 2.8M with #databreach identity compromise so they don't close down but courts may decide to close them when they declare bankruptcy

  • JPereira1974 Justin Pereira™ 🇦🇺 (@JPereira1974) reported

I'm well aware of your current policy of only contacting customers if you believe they've been effected by Optus's recent privacy breach, but I find it very hard to believe that my details have not been disclosed having been a customer for so long.

  • katemccredie NaturalSelection always wins 💉🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦😷✨🌏 (@katemccredie) reported

@abc730 @ClareONeilMP The Optus fkup proves that privatisation of essential services like this is an EXTREMELY bad idea. What if we were at War and some treasonous oligarch decided it was worth their while selling all our info to the enemy?

  • BennSocialist Scott Taylor (@BennSocialist) reported

@Optus if you don’t respond to my request to know *exactly* what data you held on my account, you will no longer have a customer. I’ve received one email, which contains no specific information on what data has been compromised. Get. Busy.

  • John_Michaels1 John (@John_Michaels1) reported

@HullKiwi @dailytelegraph The real issue is the maximum financial penalty for Optus failing to protect peoples data is far less than the cost of keeping it safe.

  • iankay19612017 Justahornyaussie (@iankay19612017) reported

@MAUREENALLDER Yep ... my Optus network slows mine down sometimes

  • 8x8a_m M (@8x8a_m) reported

Reports suggest Optus had an application programming interface (API) available online that did not require authorisation or authentication to access customer data. This is plain stupid!!! #OPTUS
