Hi @NSWOmbo what can you recommend me to do now that @optus still hasn’t improved service after 7 days of no internet in 1,5 week and multiple complaints from my side. I have a 24 mo contract and wish to get rid of it to get myself a better service with a diff provider.

  • YashVMurthy Yash Murthy (@YashVMurthy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Day 4 - net still down. Would appreciate some help for the service we are apparently paying for.

  • michae1green Mike Green (@michae1green) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@optus something has changed in your coverage in Macquarie Park. Terrible coverage for all Optus users at 160 herring rd

  • MStevensonAU Muz (@MStevensonAU) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@athinscar @LULZmag @eddotse @AR15COM The block is ISP based. Voda, Telstra and Optus apparently couldn't stay in their lanes and act as service providers. They decided to be 'Proactive' and make decisions on content for Australians. Not a government mandated block, not even suggested - just over reaching.

  • janih_BIGB_fan Harshil Jani (@janih_BIGB_fan) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus very upset , 1st - on 27th my number was ported without my knowledge 2nd- after reporting while I was on roaming overseas my number ported again ( what a joke) 3rd -Optus sent me bill for breaking contract and send me $1749 bill. No Proactive action & worst security SHAME

  • Pfupajena Tanya (@Pfupajena) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I’m haveing problems in Woollahra (post code 2025).. Very intermittent internet wi fi.. No consistency at all...

  • HMMurti Helen Murti (@HMMurti) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

If I walk into your store and ask for something simple, and you stop listening to what I'm saying, because your attention is focused on the next customer, I'm gonna take my money & walk out. @Optus, if you're interested, your sales staff suck.

  • GeorgeBakhos1 @Georgebakhos1 (@GeorgeBakhos1) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I hate @Optus with a passion, I can’t wait till my contract finishes . Never again will I use them . 3 days into my month , supposedly used 7 GB out my 14GB . How is this is possible if I’m always using WIFI .always stuff me around with this . Dodgiest company I’ve dealt with

  • j_rimac Jakov (@j_rimac) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • janih_BIGB_fan Harshil Jani (@janih_BIGB_fan) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus NO URGENCY- it’s been nearly 5 days and there is absolute no urgency from Optus to report my service- poor security- poor process- poor service, fake promises and worst escalation

  • Mummymegan Megan Barnes (@Mummymegan) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@SContominas @Optus Finally got onto someone after 23 minutes - they transferred me and they hang up @Optus #fail

  • IsaacBwelsay Isaac (@IsaacBwelsay) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

One reason I switch to Optus from Vodafone was because Vodafone reception in my work toilets are shit. Also 80gb for $50 is not bad, way better than $70 35gb.

  • CarrollRory Rory Carroll (@CarrollRory) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@JosephCarrozzi @fitba11 @tonyising @KevinAirs @MickLynch_Age @robvad10 @GuidoTresoldi @rdhinds A major issue has been the switching of O/S leagues TV rights from Foxtel to Optus. I don’t think this has been adequately explored as to losing the eyes of football supporters

  • blonde_louise Lou (@blonde_louise) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

WTF @Optus trying to report dangerous Optus wire dangling outside my house, dialled 1800440924 and clicked the option for external wires down, waited half hour and the guy said this is Fetch..he was clueless, transfers me to a new line, recording said I must wait 30 mins, yikes

  • stop4nowt Peter Sinclair (@stop4nowt) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • janih_BIGB_fan Harshil Jani (@janih_BIGB_fan) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SteveOscarbravo Steve Oscar (@SteveOscarbravo) reported

@JJKALE2 Yeah but I need to sign up with OPTUS and then Harvey Norman have all my personal ****... way before OPTUS hand it over

  • imandings Andy (@imandings) reported

@AuzzieKing I'm assuming the AFP downloaded the data leak that was made. I don't think the Optus email went to all clients, as colleague #1 didn't get an email, but colleague #2 did. Crap communication by Optus either way.

  • KleinRevd Revd Andrew Klein ( Chaplain) (@KleinRevd) reported

@BradSabbath @mel_wright123 I think, from my personal experience with Optus, Telstra, NBN is that we are dealing with organizations driven by the profit motive, providing a reliable & safe service often comes last and requires government directives and threats, otherwise it's business as usual

  • AuzzieKing dan (@AuzzieKing) reported

@imandings Apparently (this is all chinese whispers) Optus will be sending out more emails to tell people they have been affected. However, they are only going to tell those who have had 'serious' impacts/most info leaked. Pretty crap communication.

  • SimonAtNewsdesk Holden A. Countable (@SimonAtNewsdesk) reported

@cameronwilson I haven’t been an Optus customer since 2009, and I still got an email. Presumably if they still had my information on file, that’d be a breach of the APP.

  • andrew_the_pom Andrew (@andrew_the_pom) reported

@sirgunner1886 @Optus they take so long to reply that you get forced to log off.. then you have to re sign in and the whole process starts again at the back of the queue

  • SometimesSooz Suzie (@SometimesSooz) reported

@choiceaustralia From what I am reading online, number 1 on your handy list is the most problematic as Optus are being vague about what has been compromised, using vague words like "id documents". Plus down playing what is, for all involved, a very serious breach of privacy. #OptusAccountability

  • Sw3333p TheMemeGeneratorFormerlyKnownAsPatMac (@Sw3333p) reported

@9NewsAUS So the Australian people/ tax payer pays instead of Optus to resolve the issue. Ok bro

  • Asynca A. E. Dooland ✍️📚🏳️‍🌈 (@Asynca) reported

@HailMarxism @sidherian Placing the onus on many probably poor and vulnerable customers to sue a corporation is short-sighted. Better option: governments re-issues documents for those notified as affected and directly bills/sues Optus themselves :) :)

  • 50six Seven Eights (@50six) reported

@MadsMelbourne @Optus Yeah they are. Download the form. It would have taken a normal person 20 seconds to work it out. If they're into at least their 10th month, they're an idiot.
