  • IaenCordell Iaen Cordell (@IaenCordell) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

The certificate that Optus uses on its email servers has expired, unable to access it from any IOS devices, just one of many examples of what happens when you out source your IT support to a OS location.

  • bcurrall80 Blake Currall (@bcurrall80) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

So my Optus 4G mobile phone is currently running at a solid 30Mb/Sec but the home broadband, also Optus 4G, is running at a bloody terrible 451kB/Sec. What the ever living **** is this nonsense?

  • sokyola87 Sunny Sok (@sokyola87) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@KevinAirs I have been with Optus for 20 years, never have I ever gotten reception at a stadium with Optus unless it was when I got to the stadium early enough before the start of the match or concert or the crowd was a small number of under 10K

  • realmicturner Michael Turner (@realmicturner) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Just to clarify it doesn’t look like an Optus problem. It’s the World Feed.

  • BradleyWDeacon Bradley Deacon (MAISA)🇦🇺 (@BradleyWDeacon) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Great service @Optus for my home Internet, it’s a massive improvement compared to what I experienced with @Telstra I can now connect less than 24 hours from placing order and saving $30 per month! #winwin

  • JulianCevaal Julian Cevaal (@JulianCevaal) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus is the internet down in wheeler heights nsw 2097. Please advise.

  • catrionawallace Dr Catriona Wallace (@catrionawallace) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Trying to get @NBN_Australia via @Optus however #NBN did not turn up for the appointment and no contact ever since regardless of constant requests. Optus blame NBN and NBN have ghosted us. Super poor form from both. Thinking on how to escalate so that they both can hear 🤔

  • thechanderman Russell Chander (@thechanderman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • jazza1983 Jarrod McCloughan (@jazza1983) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hi @VodafoneAU Why is reception so poor around Burwood and Strathfield in Sydney? I struggle to get data or a text message out. My contract is expiring soon and I’m shopping around with the smaller guys. You have been better than Optus though!

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@mausies @UpUpNulla Static IP is pretty standard. A bit crap service. I struggle especially because I understand how things work and being treated like a halfwit pisses me off I have fibre-optic cable from the Tele pole to my house for Optus for 20 yes NBN could not or would not use that cable

  • desmond_last DESMOND LAST (@desmond_last) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I am a Security Officer at Liverpool Hospital Sydney - Why do I keep losing mobile network connection?

  • vijayarumugam Vijay Arumugam (@vijayarumugam) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@hganjoo153 2018 cycle is a broad brush. The wickets in Australia in 2018-19 were flat & slow, except at the Optus Stadium. Plus, BCCI refused to play under the lights in Australia. In South Africa & in England, yes.

  • ChadT_82 Chad (@ChadT_82) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@vesh88 Maybe Netflix will be the loser for AL fans. I think people will drop Netflix and take up Stan, then the addition of Stan Sport won’t be too bad. But yeah, please go to Optus instead

  • JsrVisuals jsr.visuals (@JsrVisuals) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus seem to be having issues with mobile internet in sydney, why suggestions ?

  • fiiingers Fred (@fiiingers) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Except if u miss a payment. Computer automatically sends u $15 late fee even tho u have never missed b4. Ring up they say so sad too bad. Then u threaten to leave $15 fee reversed. Customer service sux😳

  • BMOUSA1 Maurice B (@BMOUSA1) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Is there an internet outage in Chester Hill?

  • MichaelJMcGr Michael McGrath (@MichaelJMcGr) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus dismayed, frustrated and disappointed. Attempted to connect to internet service yesterday: three hours on phone, sent back to store to get a new SIM card. Then told due to @Optus upgrades #internet not available until April 25th. How can this be an acceptable level?

  • realmicturner Michael Turner (@realmicturner) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@sgardz91 A lot. The Waratahs are crap, the Reds are playing well. Sonny Bill is a pundit and figures are up. What’s evident is you have no idea what you are talking about if you genuinely think somehow Optus will have a higher national reach than Australia’s largest TV/Media network.

  • ptovey01 Phillip Tovey (@ptovey01) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

**** you @Optus. Supposedly I have an NBN modem that has 4G connection, but there ain't no connection. One of the worst decisions to come to Optus. Seriously annoyed by you guys, can't get anything right.

  • lyng62 Lyn (@lyng62) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus drive me insane. No internet drives me insane. Being asked to go through the troubleshooting steps that you already did before you phoned them drives me insane Having a **** ton of work and wasting 2 hours trying to get the internet to do the work DRIVES ME INSANE

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Urchin_LMS citizen xx (au) (@Urchin_LMS) reported

@angACT @Optus Bunnings just stores biometric data on you.. Who knows how well that is secured, but rest assured they are using the facial recognition data in a legal manner.. because Australian privacy laws are poor & bunnings can do what they like with the data

  • manjusrii Belinda Barnet (@manjusrii) reported

Before I get @‘d: I’m not blaming data retention policy for the Optus breach. It certainly didn’t help the situation though.

  • btcsparky Danooo (@btcsparky) reported

@9NewsAUS Why does everyone always want government to protect them from everything. 9/10 times private sectors **** all over government ones. Hence why you get paid more as an employee in the private sector. Optus has stuffed up bad. Let them fix it. Fine them if you have too. But stay out

  • sportingphotos Sporting Photos (@sportingphotos) reported

The worst thing about the data breach at Optus isn’t what they got, it’s the boomers calling us worried that someone has all their info even though they’ve changed it all. My aunty just called worries about her passport. I said you can now change it for free

  • Few2248E Frank E Willenberg (@Few2248E) reported

@macsween_prue @Optus Totally contradicted yourself in that in an earlier post it was Dan & Anastacia's fault. That said I do agree with you, Optus survives becz of its technology, so when their Cybersecurity is attacked that's a huge issue.

  • reynardvi Reynard Foxx (@reynardvi) reported

At least the govt has come up with for the Optus issue. "Operation Harry Kane:" Hats off to the underling who thought that one up. Now, on to wasting the rest of the budget in the futile chasing of shadows. Why are we subsiding Singtel? This is an arse covering exercise. #auspol

  • QuentinDempster Quentin Dempster (@QuentinDempster) reported

Optus “deeply sorry”. Telstra hopes it won’t happen to its customers. Understood. But the biggest issue for all Australian telephony users whose privacy/ID is now a criminally tradeable commodity: when will @AusFedPolice lay charges? C’mon Commissioner Reece Kershaw, brief us.

  • Boatyboy1 Boatyboy (@Boatyboy1) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Eva_Lishus @Cindy1Miss @Optus Have a look at Amaysim. Uses Optus network, but much cheaper. Although it is 13x 28 day bills per year.

  • IrinaAsanova1 Irina Asanova (@IrinaAsanova1) reported

@FranklyHart Optus is a telco that allowed hackers to potentially steal the id data of 10 million customers. About half the country. People are pissed that the company doesn’t seem to care - are obfuscating in terms of protecting the customer but seem to have the time to send their bills.

  • eoghanmurf Eoghan Murphy (@eoghanmurf) reported

Hi @Optus, myOptus app support have told me "I can see that your account has been flagged as being impacted by the cyberattack.....If you don’t hear from us, it means that your driver’s licence doesn’t need to be changed." Is that the best you can do? Wait, worry and........
