@hallstrong1 @crackerscraigo .. but couldn’t imagine doing any of this successfully with Optus who ****** us around for the best part of 5yr. Had to move to Telstra bc they don’t service the street we moved to .. this after moving from Telstra because custom 1987-2011 wasn’t enough to ensure good service..

  • lumbers1978 jem (@lumbers1978) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

  • vacant3rdman Anthony Horton @spacelizard@aus.social (@vacant3rdman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus I bought a 4G modem for use at a location that has coverage from your 4G network, only to find that it's artificially limited to 3G speeds. This is totally unacceptable. I want a refund so I can spend the money on a Telstra modem instead.

  • HaisamMorhi11 Haisam Morhi (@HaisamMorhi11) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

You are an absolute joke @Optus Went into a store about an issue and they couldn't fix the problem and twice today I contacted the customer care centre, both times got put on hold and you hung up on me. I'l be contacting the ombudsman and moving my services to @Telstra

  • JVizzone John Vizzone (@JVizzone) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Wonder how the Optus customers are going? More than 18 months after some pirate called Service NSW and illegally obtained and changed my licence details to then access various institutions I deal with to steal from me, today Service NSW finally issued me a new licence number.

  • hugobrown Hugo (@hugobrown) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus is the network down in 2022 (Oatley Mortdale ) I've been on H+ all morning can barely tweet let alone use apps, its not even enough optus open app to check network status. Why are we getting these connection issues .

  • ProbalC Probal Chakravorty (@ProbalC) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Almost 20 days @TPG_Telecom could not deliver a modem..confusion,promises, no update, silence and frustration. Absolutely customer unfriendly organisation with fake processes being in place.. shall I go to @Optus or @Telstra now..who can help me?

  • adro_franco Adrian Franco (@adro_franco) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Renzy188 Well when Optus got La Liga i wasn’t going to wake up early in the morning just to watch the game so I just watch the highlights problem solved

  • msstraighty180 Tiffany (@msstraighty180) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@HansOrph @Optus Had bad customer experience with them in 2009 thus they've been blacklisted by me since then

  • adhdbusiness Untypical Business @adhdbusiness@mstdn.jp (@adhdbusiness) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Well done @optus. My current plan is $63 a month and gets me 160gb and unlimited international roaming plus 2gb data. The new plans are $59 for 100gb PLUS $5 a month for roaming with no data. I’ll either stay on my old plan or jump ship elsewhere because the value is bad.

  • alderman1973 Peter Alderman (@alderman1973) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Offshore @Optus call centre's are the death of me at the moment. One hour and still no level of comprehension to resolve my problem with mobile charges. Horrific customer service.

  • ClareONeilMP Clare O'Neil MP (@ClareONeilMP) reported

If you are one of those 10,200 people, we advise you should immediately cancel relevant ID cards, your passport and do whatever else is needed to ensure that you are getting new identity documents based on the email from Optus.

  • gark84 Geelpe (@gark84) reported

@ClareONeilMP As an ex Optus customer how will I know. Does Optus have my new email address? How will they contact me? Can I respectfully ask the hacker to pass my new email on to Optus management so I can get some advice. 🙄

  • AbstractCode colin.traverse_ (@AbstractCode) reported

@GordyPls Former employer who was doing stuff for Optus brought me along a bit to things for no damn reason. I knew absolutely nothing about what they were doing and contributed nothing. So my anecdotal experience is at least 50% of the consultants are clueless and making up the numbers.

  • 1jodesau Mary J Kimber (@1jodesau) reported

@hughriminton @Loud_Lass Just don't let **** Accused B.S. near them. What a bad joke. **** Accused doesn't like Optus data breach! And U let **** Accused speak for the country! Pathetic. Can't you just deport **** Accused in a small boat? Indonesia it back home to Brit !

  • LindaBr40292791 Linda Brown (@LindaBr40292791) reported

Well after a fukking hour trying to register for the free optus Equifax, I’m timed out and I can’t scan documents anyway! Now I’m really pissed at Optus, they caused this and now I can’t fix it!🤬🤬🤬

  • Elaine39247821 there is no nirvana (@Elaine39247821) reported

@JoshButler Looks like Optus don't have coherent, organised systems. As a former customer, no contact yet

  • BaneUntamed Bane (@BaneUntamed) reported

Many #Optus customers are switching to #Telstra. Not me. Optus screwed up, but besides that they have provided faultless service for the ten years I've been with them. I had far more problems in the two months I was with hopeless losers @Telstra. #OptusHack

  • GordyPls Ashwagandha Forever (@GordyPls) reported

@shaneoneill One thing that'll be interesting is "attending endless meetings about the data leak" isn't on anyone's rate card. So it's CRs all the way down to set a participation fee by vendors, and they know Optus are being told by the Commonwealth to comply.

  • silentgazpaccio Dave Gazpaccio (@silentgazpaccio) reported

@PeterWMurphy1 @InsidersABC It certainly does happen from the top down. Optus IT culture reflected that. Cheap labour, too much middle mgmt.
