I'd blame the government before pointing a finger at SBS.

    .@TPG_Telecom Trying to port my TPG no from TPG’s Optus to Vodaphone network. Spent countless hrs calling helpdesk every day, talked to supervisiors, waited days for engineers to investigate. Been waiting 20 DAYS, still not working. This is ridiculous. Fix this!!

    @Optus hello, I received spam email this week claiming to be Optus & confirming that I had increased my laptop data usage with Optus. I never increased my data usage. Can you now confirm with me that my laptop/mobile plan hasn’t been changed? Thanks.

    @Hillysfarms @Telstra I reckon telstra coverage in metro areas is third after optus and Vodafone, its terrible here in Newcastle

    @wimmerachic I just saw the word Optus and knew it would be an absolute **** show. Good luck 🤞 I’ve personally never had a good experience with them, and everything was just way way too much effort which is why I’m glad I have zero services with them.

    @smiffy I wasn’t aware the NBN has customers. I thought they were just the wholesaler. I only use mobile technology. 5G/4G with Telstra. Very reliable. Optus in parts of Geelong is as bad as dialup

    Update: I’ve rebooted everything, it’s not an issue here. Major drop-outs on Optus and NBN, terrible ping time on NBN. I am triple-redundant, so now tethered to VODAFONE - not normally the fastest connection here, but currently SOLID.

    @Katrina_351 @lhjh70 @Optus I’m getting zero help from Optus. Haven’t been able to text and they don’t DM back, respond to online chat or answer the helpline when you call. Also they don’t update their outage page!!

    @SquiggleAFL @MatterOfStats There’s no way West Coast v Port only draws 49K under normal circumstances. Lowest crowd at Optus pre-Covid was against a terrible suns team in 2019 and I think that got 48K.

    @trevorlong @the_howie @JSNoble Optus has a problem... 3G wise they only have 1 channel (1 WCDMA channel) however they know they dont have enough base stations to switch to LTE exclusively as it would be a bad look coverage wise hence why they show 3G/4G as a single option on their coverage checker.
