@sallymcmanus Sending jobs overseas might create larger profits short term but surely sends share prices down as superannuation investment declines! Imagine CC jobs @anz @Telstra @optus all banks in Oz. $millions more to be invested! Oz growth restricted. Not to mention taxes lost!

@CrStuartJames @Telstra @Optus I moved because I thought Australia needed a choice & competition. @Optus suited me at the time. First mob analogue phone into digital market. But after they moved jobs OS & had terrible customer service I moved. Now have all phones @ Southern Phones. Aussie call centre.

So @optus is going to waste our time with a technician's call on Wednesday as we go through the motions to find a fault that is either the modem or, more likely, their network. I wish I could talk to someone local about all this.

@Telstra That's the second thing I did after rebooting the modem. Telstra is too slow with updating it, if at all and the 24x7 chat support is clueless. No need to defend Telstra, everybody knows the tech support is as bad as @Optus.

@Optus no response from you guys. Seems pretty poor that this issue even happens yet alone not getting any help for the last few days. I'm a uni student studying over Christmas I NEED my internet to be working at all times! A reply would be nice.

@everydaycook @Optus I picked them up on this too they expect you just keep paying handset costs even if out of contract.Only if you pick them up on it will they credit back the phone costs.Dodgy and shouldnt be on the customer it should happen automatically on the contracts anniversary.

@jimmaxcricket The only way you can play test cricket at the WACA is if it receives substantial investment for upgrades, which is never going to happen. The State Govt needs to recover all the $$ it spent on Optus

@Optus Been there and done that. Been told about optimization (done) been told to call for assistance (tired of being on hold for 30 mins+). Been told that there are no irregularities with my service - & still I get continuing dropouts & shocking speeds... 😡

@Optus Update, turns out they shoved me to the back of the queue. I had my call picked up by an entirely different person - who as it turns out was super apologetic and very helpful. Shouldn't have to wait nearly an hour after the phone call is answered to get that service.

India may feel Paine is vulnerable to this tactic because his record with the pull shot is awful. He's been out five times pulling, averaging just 15.80. However, with such big square boundaries at the Optus, it's hard to correctly place the deep fielders for the catch. #AUSvIND
