Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

Both said “5G Fixed Wireless not available at your address.” He checked a cell tower map anyway. Half a dozen towers within a couple km. Bought a GL.iNet GL-X3000NR 5G router + built a DIY 4x4 MIMO LPDA external antenna. Result? 800 Mbps download / 170 Mbps upload. 25x faster. $75/month. Same building. Here’s exactly how he did it 🧵

There was no Optus coverage, but there was coverage from another network. Despite that, I never received the AusAlert. If emergency alerts can’t be delivered when your carrier is unavailable, even though another network is in range, that’s a significant issue. In an emergency, people shouldn’t miss life-saving warnings because of which carrier they’re with. Can you clarify whether AusAlerts are expected to be delivered in this scenario, or is this a limitation of the current system?

So if farmers & some federal bureaucrats know this why don’t Victoria’s?🤡

Powers above would want northern Perth side to get the extra $$ from more matches at Optus. I am bias but South West Sharks is the way to go!

Just purchase a sim card supported by Optus [this is redundancy contingency] when Telstra goes off line swap out their sim & slot in the backup & vice versa. Alteratively purchase a dual sim phone which allows you to switch between service providers
