@jacojac @BeauGiles @Optus Yea I also don’t see why you have to go into store to get the esim. I went into my local and the girl didn’t even know what I was talking about. Pretty bad service tbh

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus so just called and got to a operator who transfers me and the line gets cut. Good work for a communications company. This poor service is too common with Optus and I’m really looking at taking the family and business back to @VodafoneGroup or @Telstra.

  • LadyPoop2
Lady Pooh ( Crazy Sewer Rat ) (@LadyPoop2) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@DougCameron51 Very Bad Moce,Optus!!So bad for business....

Don't think anyone realises within 10 years, it's possible that Onlyfans will be hacked. Just like Optus and Medibank. Doesn't help that the media are blowing it up like it's a potential way to become famous either. It's something everyone on it will eventually live to regret.

  • effielarocca
Teresa LaRocca (@effielarocca) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Telstra 1/2. 2,weeks ago I suggested we switch from @Optus to Telstra, up our speed to 50mps as your bundle seemed better than Optus. Now we have no internet (which seemed to work on an Optus network) and yesterday my sister lost her job. She has 2 weeks left of her job and now

  • adriankhall
AKH (@adriankhall) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Dear @Optus, the Internet service in the Magill (SA) area over the past 3 days has been averaging dial-up speed... Not impressed! 🤬🤬🤬

  • iammrdom
dynamic island dom (@iammrdom) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Seems like @Optus is going to avoid the repercussions of a data leak. Maybe a good chance to look at their offering and price it accordingly to their network quality. Lower prices to add customers.

  • bow55213735
John Bowman (@bow55213735) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Asher_Wolf @pully8 @OAICgov I had a free month, the following day after it expired Optus was compromised. I wanted to cancel my account prior to the day before the free month ended. So I took my modem back, but was told I could only cancel the account if I bought the used modem. If I had a faulty modem YES!

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus This is a joke. Now your telling me I have to pay more than agreed. This is pure theft. If you want to discuss how about you call me for once directly and maybe try reading your notes first before asking the same questions. Should never have left @VodafoneAU. DM me for a number.

  • wengywong
Weng Wong (@wengywong) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

Been with @Optus for over 23 years now but looks like it is time to take my business elsewhere due to their unresponsiveness and lack of customer support/care...poor form @Optus, very disappointing after all this time

  • STEVEFI14205588
STEVE FISCHER (@STEVEFI14205588) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@sammyjcomedian Sammy was still smiling. Sadly this is close to the truth it's not at all absurd. Yet we pay so little for those who serve us. They cop the crap from poor management decisions. Hey @Optus have you not heard of reputational damage?

  • tamwisey
Tam Wiseman (@tamwisey) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus Netflix down here too 😢

  • Mikey_Nicholson
Mikey Nicholson (@Mikey_Nicholson) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@AdelaideMail Get an Optus one. You can call someone for 9’59 and then hang up, ring them back and you won’t be charged (between 8pm and 8am)

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

    1. The biggest mistake going to @Optus. Over 20 calls in the last week. I called 5x about correcting your mistake on the delivery address and you still sent it to the wrong location. 2. You never ported my number over correctly and now a week later and 10 more calls and not done.

  • PMalinauskasMP
Peter Malinauskas (@PMalinauskasMP) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@NickToulantas Yes. Optus customers who have already paid a fee for a replacement licence can apply in person at their Service SA for a refund.

  • c_verdicchio
Christian Verdicchio (@c_verdicchio) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus @VodafoneAU Hi @Optus I have DM you guys just waiting to hear back! Turns out you also have not updated the new deal for my wife either. Really really poor. If this doesn’t get sorted today will be returning phone and going back to @VodafoneAU or @Telstra

  • suechook
Susie 🌹 (@suechook) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus Trying to get a refund with you is a bloody joke!Hubby has verified who he is and now you want details on when he opened account 14 years ago ! WTF terrible customer service all for $39 refund

  • GrantTDavies
A/Prof Grant Davies (@GrantTDavies) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus Yes please. I have moved into a development that does not have nbn but has opticomm so I can’t sign on to Optus broadband. I have been a customer for around 2 decades and want to retain my email account. Is there a way to retain it?

  • mselbyLFCSC
Matthew Selby (@mselbyLFCSC) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@BSFootball @OptusSport Blame the PL for the rights they offer. It’s ridiculous but not an Optus issue.

  • harryxroyalty
Lady M 💫 (@harryxroyalty) reported from Adelaide, South Australia

@Optus hello, can you please explain why tf your reception is so bad at the moment? For the past 2 weeks I’ve barely gotten 2 bars! I can barely make a phone call.

Tech illiterate idiots in this comment section is insane, if ur still getting low internet speeds with nbn installed ur likely not asking for the fttp upgrade which is free and ur paying the same per month sometimes even cheaper then ur avg fttn ect with deals, yes sometimes u cant get fttp installed but cases are slim and u only ever have to pay if ur 1. Getting business grade lines (which u wont need for the avg household) 2. If they have to actually install the lines which if u have pre existing lines then ur fine and wont need to pay which is the case for most, As for wifi its only really a user issue so many things can can contribute to a bad wifi connection Like Bad routers Damaged lines Interference (usually if u have ur router lined with a stud in the wall can contribute to this) but microwaves and emf interference can cause a bad wifi connection Some routers just need a simple setup properly rather then it being just default IF you’re internet provider says anything like ur ineligible immediately ask for a technician to come out and look as the internet provider company’s themselves don’t have the technology to see if you’re ineligible or not they might say they do but at best they only have surface level ****, my first 2/3 calls to the internet company’s themselves were “you’re ineligible” the 4th I asked for a technician to atleast have a look and he said and in quotes “this is piss easy to install what where they even telling you” they then relayed that to them and got this (photo attached) within the next couple of days with the fibre installed And I’ll add my circumstances which is why I think most will not have any issues • I live in ******** nowhere with a avg of 2/5k people with a outdated tower for the town • the house I’m currently in is roughly 80+ years old as far as I know it got built in 1945 (yes it did get re modernised but like surface level **** like up to date stove and redone walls and paint obviously) no rewiring Yes we got ****** by abbot so we had to deal with **** company’s like Telstra Optus selling a fttn scam for probably more than enough time but we have had fibre implementations for a while now so the wifi/internet connection excuse just isn’t there anymore maybe at the start but we are pretty close to having most of Australia on fttp or atleast attempting We are in no way as good as NZs and USAs fibre implementations but you should be getting perfectly fine wifi and speeds for the avg homes use no matter what you do and if u work from home and do any data transfer work.

  • JordanWardle5
    Jordan Wardle (@JordanWardle5) reported

@theinfradev @ruicharadrius I'm not revising history. The plan was fttp everywhere, with Telstra and optus copper being bought out to move them to the NBN. The copper was never going to be used for the NBN. Look at the Telstra definitive agreements from 2011.

  • gwynne007
    /. Gwynne (@gwynne007) reported

@Trev__Says @susan_taylor07 @cjoye None of them would have been profit making assets. Telstra would have been a big slow behemoth that got pants’d by Optus and Vodafone. Our gas wouldn’t have been developed - it took 15 years from sale to production. And we would have been paying huge amounts of interest.

  • Dabatsau
    Paddy (@Dabatsau) reported

@Batman2242 Basically 2 mobile providers as Vodafone & Optus share a regional network but still have most of the cities on their own networks.

  • DanielSMatthews
𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒐𝒕𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘𝒔 🇦🇺 (@DanielSMatthews) reported

@eevblog I have both, NBN service stability is far less than Starlink's, so it is my backup. I could probably push traffic through both, did that with Telstra and Optus cable modems back in the day, but Starlink is so fast I haven't needed to bother.

  • stoffstoff

@Suzanne92939731 @ruicharadrius Your problem is using optus

  • Perth_Traffic
    Main Roads WA (@Perth_Traffic) reported

BEHIND THE SCENES Before, during and after every AFL match at Optus Stadium, the Main Roads’ events team work with many stakeholders to provide a safe passage for vehicle and foot traffic to and from the game. They do this by closing off certain roads, checking in with traffic management, the Real Time Traffic Operations Centre and the stadium events team to make sure all elements are in place and ready to play their part. If there are any issues that occur, they are first to reach out on communication channels to make sure it’s handled effectively and efficiently. Even down to the pointy end making sure no unauthorised vehicles are parked near areas that will affect the flow.  #perthtraffic #optusstadium

  • AussiePunter32
    Andrew Carter (@AussiePunter32) reported

@7AFL $3b **** right off with that bullshit it’s a ******* ground improvement not a ******* weapon system, someone is pocketing a fortune. The total cost of Optus Stadium, the train station & the surrounding precinct was $1.6 billion which included extensive ground reclamation🤬

  • shadowmaster132
    @shadowmaster13@mastodon.social (@shadowmaster132) reported

@ThomasDougherty @oscarcsims In the past Optus tried it and failed so bad they had to hand it back to SBS which I think has also made streamers nervous the soccer fantasy in Aus likes the SBS team

  • Ballzzzz16

@Telstra @Optus So you’re no help either, will be cancelling all Telstra plans and moving to Optus in the morning
