  @Telstra BOTS ARE NOT THE ANSWER! I applied to Telstra to establish a broadband at my new address before December 5! I now a month later have a house full of teenagers in a rainy day and no ******* internet! Why can Optus or vodaphone provide fast service, and Telstra not?

  Hey paul...Labor promised they'd get to the bottom of the optus outage.. Any idea why they walked away from the problem and allowed it to happen again.

  @Adrian_Arciuli @FIFAWorldCup MCG, Optus and Adelaide are Ovals and non starters. Cake Tin would and should be knocked down to expand. Given cricket isn't played there it would be rectangular, By 2042 Stadium Australia will have been rebuilt Perth should have a 40k rectangular Hopefully expanded Coopers

  How many times in the past 3 years have telecommication services in Australia been disrupted? #Telstra #Optus More evidence which strongly suggests Telstra and Optus aren't up to it. Lack of investment in infrastructure? #StarLink is winning more customers because of these lack lustre telcos. Telstra has suffered an outage that disrupted calls, mobile data and some Triple Zero calls across the country after reports of the problem emerged on Wednesday morning.   @clarkes signing that deal last year for tpg to operate over Optus networks in regional areas. So that's good. We need to come up with a way for network failovers when these incidents happen. But it's tricky... if the biggest operator goes down, how would this work in practice.

  @therevaknight Because of Government incompetence, they had no simple backup system, they made NO allowances for technological failure, complexity is the enemy of reliable; the reliability issue was known (ref previous OPTUS outage). NO REDUNDANCY for critical infrastructure! @heidimur

  (not to mention, I was in the OPTUS shop when this occured, and has occured many times...) I couldn't send any messages on discord but speed tests were fine, I smell layer 7 sniffing and dodgy QoS to make your network look better...
