@Telstra another day goes by and still not resolved......June 26 and no NBN. Entirely Telstra problem when by mistake they put “restrictions “ on the account but it takes forever to lift them. BTW was in credit when restrictions where wrongly imposed

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

@Vic_Rollison Gees, we probably still wouldn't have an ETS by now, a 2nd rate NBN and a system which favours the rich and blames the poor and unemployed for wearing those ugly old Vinnie's clothes. Wait a minute

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

Honestly, the worst thing about working from home is dealing with NBN, or more accurately, NBN outages. 🙄

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

@TPG_Telecom NBN dropouts again, persistently having same problem and now customer service directs to online chat, which is hopeless when your internet is down. Hopeless TPG. Am going to churn.

@NBN_Australia It’s directly related to the ‘fibre to the node’ loading, that can’t be fixed. Nor can the crap quality of the telephone lines in this area be totally replaced easily.

@alexwantscoffee @NBN_Australia Exactly my thoughts. And no amount of help from the service provider is going to change the amount of users on the node, or as you say, magically turn the copper lines to fibre optic.

@NBN_Australia Rather than wasting money on useless ****, maybe invest that money into NBN infrastructure. Sort of pointless.. and sounds like a bit of a money laundering scam.
-

@SteveJohnsonCAD @markhumphries Part of the issue is that there's nothing stopping a landlord advertising a property as "NBN ready" because the NBN has done the physical install, even though the connection fee hasn't been paid.
-
Damien Clark
(@Just_ask_Damo) reported
@SteveJohnsonCAD @markhumphries Not the actual connecting of the service, that is done by property owners and NBN should be the same, especially since it’s tax deductible to the landlord anyway.
-
Jane Rawlings
(@janerawlings8) reported
@markhumphries The NBN is rubbish - you are better off hotspotting your phone. I have to do this often at home. I get slow speeds and regular texts from my ISP about yet more NBN service interruptions in my area. NBN are fixing the crappy old cable network that they re-used in the roll-out.

@NewSammyChan @NBN_Australia Never happen in Australia. We're too lax too laid back. Yanks have a ton more competition. We have tons of fat overpaid middle managers ..they have no need to improve. None. Zero.. Once starlink gets faster and cheaper NBN can suck a bag of *****.

@bill_dobell I want batteries so I can at least listen to the radio during the blackouts. Do mobile phone towers need power? Sadly our NBN landline does. The copper system always worked during blackouts so I was shocked the copper landline is being shut down.

James Hutcheon

@rhinoz It helped that I asked the agent during inspection "does the property have NBN connected" and they said yes and then when I discovered the FTTP box had been installed by the building developer but never connected by the previous tenant, I refered back to the conversation :)
