@Optus has the worst customer service ever. I tried to organise nbn through their online chat and they flat out lied to me in order to get my business.
-
Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@MoeycQ @NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB I think I saw on your tweet you were on HFC version of NBN. You want to vent your anger @TurnbullMalcolm who decided this was a good idea for a modern broadband system. NBN and ABB are just trying to make shit work.
-
cheah (@jiawhoo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus hello 👋 why is it so hard to reach optus, called twice with no return calls:( I received my nbn & router yesterday morning but the nbn has been blinking the whole day. Need help!
-
Beaver Murray (@yeppoon) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@RachelBkr That's so slow its embarrassing. We're on NBN and it's frequently like that, so bad in fact I got a refund from TPG because the advertised speeds were like watching a glacier move.
-
Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
Well that sucked, after replacing all the cable all the way to the splitter the tester showed great signal, but NBN didn't like it.
-
TonyB (@TonyB_Melb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Kynes3 Yep...ran it lots of times, always the same. Just now it's showing: NBN 11.32/0.92 ADSL 8.65/0.86 It sucks.

Ross Monaghan (@themediapod) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I was getting faster speeds on the Optus cable network 15 years ago. NBN means slower and more expensive service in my area.
-
Susan Luber (@tiges_rule) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus And I have spoken to nbnco themselves and they have confirmed that you are flat out lying to me. The times available depend on the provider NOT the nbn. Further proving how bad the customer service at Optus has been.

Josh Bornstein (@JoshBBornstein) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
yet another round of tax cuts isn’t going to help people on Newstart or the low wage crisis or the climate change crisis or a properly funded ABC or fixing the NBN

g1nchy 🌏 (@G1NCHY) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@jendudley You forgot to @Telstra and @NBN_Australia. I don't feel so bad now, at least @optus replied to my tweets.

@siangard @SenatorDoug @fionaparker1 The NBN was the perfect vehicle to support decentralization....

John Dikeos (@DikeosJohn) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@TheTechDudeAU @Telstra_news @Telstra Clearly I’m being sarcastic giving them shit about their horrible service which nobody should be paying for. Got connected to nbn last week and it’s been down the past 2 days. Before this issue when we connected with them 2 years ago we were paying for 3 months and had no interne

Julian Price (@julianprice_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@Optus, help! My nbn isn’t working. I’ve tried the old “off and on again” trick and I can’t see any outages in my area. Can’t get through to technical support “too busy”.
-
Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
This Google Stadia thing looks cool. Probably won’t be great in Australia until 5G is here. That said, they recon they only need min 15mb down; max 40ms latency and max 5% packet loss. Many NBN connections smash that. But if it’s widely adopted, congestion will cause issues.

Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
@vvmann @NBN_Australia @exetel And no one is accountable. It's actually incredible how bad it is.

willdonovan (@willdonovan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria
We have to FIX the NBN - then people can study wherever they want. #ciglobal @VCdeakin

Not the update I was hoping for with the NBN internet outage due to the torrential downpour this arvo. "Field Services have ordered spare parts, although none are available in Victoria. Parts will need to come from interstate."
-
💧Ron Jones❄ (@RBJRON) reported
@PeterKlages @NBN_Australia True. If you live outside of a metropolitan area's or large cities your just a poor cousin and not just on communications either. Heavy rain has knocked out my service as well and on one occasion I had heavy winds that knocked out all communications including the Landline.
-
Lias (@Lias89733971) reported
@glendasutardy @PeterKlages Yes, good luck, Peter. The NBN is totally inadequate in emergency situations.
-
Felix Fradda (@realfradda) reported
@hrtgundam this tweet is more about aussie net being **** instead of ow2 servers. and partners parents not letting us use ethernet so we have to deal with even shittier nbn wireless
-
Peter Klages (@PeterKlages) reported
No NBN satellite internet out here due to heavy rain 😡 but I have one bar of Telstra 3G! it’s raining so heavily the house guttering is overflowing. Getting emergency alerts for flooding at Clunes. Stay safe everyone.

Sean Thom (@mana_sean) reported
@strategyaust @MRowlandMP @EdwardJWHunter I'm thinking of bailing on NBN totally. **** service.
-
Pia (@PV_Intl) reported
@NBN_Australia Any Australian household could experience this – wake up at 4.30 am, put your feet on the carpet and oh… it’s wet! So is half the house. Today is 11 weeks since it occurred IN OUR HOME. Caused by the NBN pitt. 11 weeks later we have had no help from NBN
-
Ryan Williams (@RyanWil62993886) reported
@1Swinging_Voter Yeah right, like the time labors Stephen Conroy announced the NBN, there had to be 20,000 immigrant workers brought into Australia to begin the build, Conroy forgot we never had the fibre splicing skills.
-
SamR 🌸 (@samr6003) reported
@VultureCapital1 I don’t want to but I’m not sure that it’s helpful to not pay it. I’ve arranged to port our NBN business service and I’ve changed to prepaid plans with Aldi Mobile and cancelled my and my husband’s mobile services with @Optus. I think this is the best option to express my anger.
