@ThornburyRocks I turned the ringer off on mine about 10 years ago. Still available in an emergency for calls out*. As long as the nbn is up and running.

4 years of slow @NBN_Australia constant drop outs. 6 technician appointments. Numerous ‘repairs’ to the node. Yesterday they worked out we were connected to the wrong node, 2km away rather than the one they had been fixing 200 metres away. Thanks, all good now…

Ok, my new tenants for some reason unplugged the NBN box from the wall and managed to push the coaxial port behind the wall cavity as a result, so now they can't plug it back in. Is there a simple way to resolve this situation? Of course NBN saying "your problem".

@TruthdriverOn @graham2603 Govts should never try to pick “winners” have a look at the NBN, massively over budget (well…it was a brain fart written on a napkin) & little ROI liebor have announced they’re throwing more money at this lemon it’s a 🍋 because we are behind Jamaica in internet speed

@Telstra Hi Lisa, I came home to no internet connection. I checked both the NBN modem & Telstra smart modem and it looks like the NBN modem got fried due to lightning damage from the brief storm we had that rolled through Melbourne earlier.

@ChelleAB not all debt is bad; the government is MEANT to spend money to stimulate the economy. money comes and money goes.. if you just hoard it and dont do anything with it, its not worth anything BECAUSE its not doing anything. Eastern Dual carriageway M1, NBN, NDIS, etc. Rudd did that.

@neil_killick If you can’t fix it yourself, many electricians are NBN certified to carry out work. And I’d be sure they understand it’s at their expense.

@redruby17 @Optus I’m with Vodaphone for phone and nbn. The only problem with Vodaphone is coverage. I’ll have to go with a Telstra type to get coverage in northern Oz, WA etc
