But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South Wales@NBN_Australia I spoke to my provider, and they have been told by NBN that there is planned remediation but no ETA. I'm just disappointed that today's visit by NBN wasn't planned properly. I've no medical issues relying on the network, just hoping for service to get my work and relaxation done.

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South WalesWakey, wakey, rise and shine @NBN_Australia! It's now 21 days since my service went down and today is the 3rd date you have given my retail provider for restoration. ( No updates as of Friday so we assume all systems go).

I have decided to keep my NBN service instead, so I would like to cancel my Starlink service and return the kit. Please let me know the return process. Thank you.

Solaris (@AussieSolaris) reported@GearlessRoe I need internet, I'll go nuts without it. Heh. I miss gaming, waste of time as it was. I need some connection to the outside world, as much as I like/need my solitude. There is one section in this place where I get signal good enough to stream/use the internet well enough. Everywhere else is essentially dead. Miss being able to use the phone in bed, have to hotspot it & put it in one specific spot & use the PC now. See what happens/what I do these coming weeks. If I don't leave here/get kicked out for breaching them, and I can get more dollars in, Starlink will be the way. In theory. Shame though, $85 a month for only 100gb is an oof. My NBN plan with unlimited data at the last place was only $70 a month. Without further dollars/income, cannot afford. Will have to sort something soon. My entire situation right now is *not* sustainable.

Told them that I was over them & that I'll be signing up with @Starlink Looking forward to receiving my kit from Starlink soon. Hotspotting with my @Telstra mobile is 1/2 speed of a snail. Painful much. Going crazy. Don't need this stress.

Cattom (@TCatley) reported@Adam_and_EVs I switched to starlink. NBN in australia was crap it kept disconnecting. Couldnt Game. Starlink ( mini dish even ) has been great cost the same, better service and that in a major city.

Doug Hendo (@DougHendo) reported@TopherField The NBN started in Broken Hill my refrigeration systems on the towers where the only ones running when it hit 45c. They rang me up and said how come mine where the only one still working. Because I used Temperzone Australian Airconditioners with adjustable head preasure I increased. I didnt tell them all they had to do with the other was remove the thermistors off the head preasure on the American systems.

UngayMelbourne (@UngayMelbourne) reported@TopherField Our sports club is 12.5km from Darwin's CBD and there is no NBN provisioning and the available wireless is dogshit. So yeah, Starlink it is and things have never been better.
