NBN have confirmed with me that we will never get 50 Mbps due to the distance we are away from the first node. They also didn’t replace the aging copper on the main street and line faults is a regular thing to happen.

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South Wales@NBN_Australia I spoke to my provider, and they have been told by NBN that there is planned remediation but no ETA. I'm just disappointed that today's visit by NBN wasn't planned properly. I've no medical issues relying on the network, just hoping for service to get my work and relaxation done.

But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cancelling the inland rail is a terrible decision. It is just as important as the NBN, and in this case there isn’t a foreseeable technology that will replace it in 10 years time. Rail is insanely energy and labor efficient compared to trucks. Trucks should only be used for end of journey in a well optimised system.

Anyone who actually believes in the NBN is as brainwashed as a Putin supporter. Starlink has made the NBN largely redundant for non gaming purposes, and the 5G network is already 3 times faster and both cost taxpayers exactly $0.00. Rudd should go down in history as the king of morons.

Dodgy Looks (@LooksDodgy) reported@robb_j_m Live out bush and had Satelite NBN - absolute crap - $89 pm. Telstra signal - absolute crap - $74 - 50Gig - pm. Swapped - Starlink - perfect internet and wifi calling - $139 pm - unlimited. Downgraded sim card to a cheap telstra operator - $25 pm. So total internet and phone went from $163 to $164 pm. That extra $1 quadrupled the speed and reception!

Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported@Kate3015 @Mark_Butler_MP My thinking is different, I built many $100 mill ++ projects from a concept, there is a simple process that begins from the design, then the costing, then the services, then the providers, then the contact. In some cases, for Govt. I built the first NBN Site at Kiama, Conroy would not listen, Transfield lost $10 million, Conroy would not listen about a Satellite transmission for Central Aust. Fibre cannot travel long distances, Conroy blew $800 million on that alone, his original budget for NBN was $4.78 billion, a joke, & not one of the NBN management had never built a big network, I walked away, and waited, then moved back in.
