    @KRV1944 @NBN_Australia Similar experience here recently. Hours on support chat to RSP. Eventually fixed with new modem.

    @TopherField I tried for 6 months to get my faulty NBN fixed (FTTN - copper/xdsl for the last 0.9km). NBN blamed the retailer who blamed NBN. I gave up and put in Starlink and have never looked back (4 years ago). NBN dug up the street 2 years ago to install fibre to the premises - I have a pit at the boundary of my property. My property is marked as 'NBN Ready'. Problem is that they never actaully pulled any fibre in the street !! The NBN is a huge scam.

    @NBN_Australia You had techs working near my address and I now have no NBN connection. Call has been logged with my ISP but to disconnect a connection like this shows poor workmanship in your technicians. This is unacceptable.

    I've said time and again that the NBN is a white elephant, and that it would be destroyed by competition... IF competition were allowed. Of course like-for-like competition is NOT allowed... the NBN have a monopoly on wired internet... but guess what? They're STILL being out-competed by the private sector anyway, because wireless technology has come a LONG way fast... After all the tens of billions we've spent, Australia still only ranks 43 on internet speeds (worse on some lists, I'm being generous) and still users are turning to the private sector because the NBN cannot help them where they are. Amazing. Government never makes things better, it only gets in the way of the private sector who WOULD make things better... if the government weren't in the way.

    @Adam_and_EVs I switched to starlink. NBN in australia was crap it kept disconnecting. Couldnt Game. Starlink ( mini dish even ) has been great cost the same, better service and that in a major city.

    @jera_nichols @jackieaus @Starlink I'm Northern Beaches Sydney. The slightest change in the weather or HAARP signals - Chem Trails, all affect the signal which drops out as a result. It also drops out at 6.15pm EST most evenings. I run another NBN service in tandem as I run an internet based business from home.

    @Posterboy104 @TerpsMLC So just like what happened with the NBN with copper replacing fibre optic cost cutting that line will be forever a half arsed service.

    Update. Dodos from NBN came back to tell me it’s my fault and nothing to do with them. Well! Problem solved. It will not be because of them come Thursday, Starlink install day.

    @TopherField Satellite has been about forever, the government never got in its way, I had it and it was ****. I used NBN relatively successfully over inferior satellite technologies until Starlink came along. Your opinions don’t appear to align with my experiences accurately.
