Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Gardners Bay and nearby locations:

  • winsordobbin Winsor Dobbin (@winsordobbin) reported from Cygnet, State of Tasmania

@BethanyinCBR @ScottMorrisonMP Err. The NBN is so slow the country could not sustain online learning.

  • AnthonyPress Tony Press (@AnthonyPress) reported from Tinderbox, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia 1. These slow speeds are common across different service providers in the district. 2. The many times I’ve pursued this topic it becomes a duck-shoving exercise: NBN Co. says it’s the service provider; the service provider says it’s lack of capacity at the NBN tower.

  • winsordobbin Winsor Dobbin (@winsordobbin) reported from Cygnet, State of Tasmania

A new Space Agency HQ. While hospitals are broken, communities are struggling, the NBN is pathetic and jobs are scarce. Get your head out of your arse @ScottMorrisonMP #LiarFromTheShire #CrimeMinister

  • furrybearoz Lee (@furrybearoz) reported from Gardners Bay, State of Tasmania

@NBN_Australia our nbn service has been intermittent for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Is the nbn fixed wireless tower at Lymington Southetn Tasmania being serviced or something

  • whophd Christian Kent (@whophd) reported

@liber8SA @SophieScamps Bankrupt us? It’d be around the price of the NBN, or the refunds on JobKeeper we never got Or the economic price of the delta lockdown that was avoidable through custom quarantine hotels

  • sammton Sammy Norton (@sammton) reported

@NBN_Australia I haven't had internet for 5 days. I've raised it with my service provider and it's been an ongoing issue. I've had two technicians come out already and the end result so far is another technician must come out. This isn't acceptable.

  • Lias89733971 Lias (@Lias89733971) reported

Better minds than mine will know the answer to this. During floods, bush fires, disasters when NBN is cut off, is there any way to ensure that people can get the latest information in, out, the help needed? Are satellite phones the answer? Just asking.

  • tonywbrown Tony Brown (@tonywbrown) reported

@abcnews This figure of 2.8 million people from @RMIT is way off. Oz has mobile coverage of 98% of population and @NBN_Australia delivers universal satellite broadband. Affordability is an issue but given you can get prepaid mobile plans for $5/month then these numbers are way off.

  • guidolfo11 Guidolfo11 (@guidolfo11) reported

@Telstra But alas, doesn't reach my place where I'm stuck on adsl2 but pay more than many with nbn, hey ho, someone has to subsidize 5g eh Telstra. Plus your customer service reps are dismissive and rude

  • CLPickering Harps & 🔔🔔🔔 (@CLPickering) reported

@NBN_Australia NBN down in South Australia? Your search page cannot tell me ‘as there is a problem’

  • maskupmama MaskUp Mama - Mask Up & Stop Covid-19 Spread! (@maskupmama) reported

My goodness, the NBN is sooooo slow! I'm uploading a video of my daughter's homeschooling assignment & it's taking forever. In Singapore, it takes a mere several minutes if that. Australia needs to up its game.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@5pong3e Hey Sponge. Sorry to see that there is currently a fault impacting your NBN service at this time. Our teams will try their best to get this one resolved as soon as they can. If you have any other concerns about this in the meantime, do feel free to send us a DM. Kyri

  • YouAllWrite Riga from BOO!AllWrite (@YouAllWrite) reported

aaand my internet is freaking out again. It never got properly fixed from months ago - they still outright refuse to just send a technician to fix an issue that another technician from their partner told us was there but he wasn't allowed to fix. I hate this. The nbn is garbage.

  • canned_dev Canned Meow (he/they) (@canned_dev) reported

I'm going to be frank: Our regional communities are being poisoned by denialist nonsense. Regional communities have less access to information (thanks to poor NBN rollout) and are surrounded by larger influences like The Herald Sun and Sky News Regional.
