@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

  • cory_actually CORY (@cory_actually) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Vintuitive Must just be that the NBN is shit 😉🤣

  • KathyReid Kathy Reid, Servant of House Corgi (@KathyReid) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

  • tonywalker1 Antony (Tony) Walker (@tonywalker1) reported from Fenwick, State of Victoria

Good Q. Down here in Seachange given up on the NBN. Use Telstra 4G box. Not good enough. NBN imposed.

Hey @PaulFletcherMP just a reminder the ABC is a public broadcaster, not state media, the Murdoch Media is doing a fine job of that. So hands off our ABC and while you are at it, fix the bloody NBN you useless pack of idiots have butchered. #OurABC #FuckOffFletcher #Fraudband

  • EmJaeCaer Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported

@ConkyOCE @NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB Unfortunately you need the exact one as its "provisioned" by NBN on its unique ID. Some other one would actually connect you to an other service. They are really a fixture of the property. So you need the old one marked as gone, and the correct new one assigned to your property

  • boofhea58505804 ozboofhead (@boofhea58505804) reported

@DaveMilbo @TheJunglist All of my contacts in IT were FURIOUS about what the LNP did to the NBN - we all knew what would happen and the piece of **** we are now left with

  • DeniseBeale Denise Beale (@DeniseBeale) reported

At 4.30 Friday afternoon husband put in a request to Telstra for help with the NBN which was constantly dropping out. Five minutes later Telstra sent a text advising a technician would come Monday afternoon. And he did! And fixed it! Amazing! #NBN #Telstra

  • NickRossTech nickrosstech (@NickRossTech) reported

  • NoelBt Noel (@NoelBt) reported

@rycrozier jesus christ 14.4K.... ok so lets break it down.. 980m cable path to node (along road is closer to 450) but lets play... council perms already granted, ducts exist) 1KM 6 strand prysmian fibre, bout 1500, PCD, 1K, assume 1 days work * 3, im at 5.5K - so NBN net profit $9K

  • JimRHoughton Ignoble Jim Houghton (@JimRHoughton) reported

@Worldweary @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia Ouch! Luckily we've got HFC through the old cable networks so don't have the copper issues and just fine for our needs.

@NBN_Australia it's usually okay but it cuts out randomly a lot and its irritating, the only real way to fix it has been restarting the modem and opening a new connection i was upset when i wrote this and the nbn hasnt been super horrid but it is true that our old internet didnt do this
