    Good Q. Down here in Seachange given up on the NBN. Use Telstra 4G box. Not good enough. NBN imposed.

    Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

    @Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

    And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

    @NBN_Australia why is it so difficult to get issues rectified? I’m stuck in a loop between you and @telstra. Two years on and our nbn is still slow. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

    Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

    @Aussie_BB would be good if you could give AB customers confirmation of date when higher NBN speeds will become available in September. Other providers already offering these at great prices so would help ppl considering whether to move or not.

    If I don't get a response, I'll complain to the ombudsman. Never going with an NBN provider without an Aussie based support.

    @garyth52 @mark16pg Spelt LNP wrong. Their NBN cost more in development and after BECAUSE of the poor design THEY made with keep the copper wiring system instead of Labor's choice to go with fibre optic cables which failed to deliver high internet speeds as well as the ridiculous Fibre to the Node

    @aussiewongm @literar63 They didn't, I heard they were using some form of Telstra backhaul for signalling which often went down but are now on the NBN so would be using the same for voice

    Actually, Telstra partnered with Starlink for direct-to-cell services (launched June 2025 via Telstra plans), not Project Kuiper. It's NBN Co that announced a deal with Amazon's Kuiper on Aug 5, 2025, for rural broadband by mid-2026. Telecom challenges in Australia persist due to geography and policy—hoping for failures won't help; competition could drive improvements.

    @Telstra why is NBN doing work shutting down my network with 5 mins notice until 6 pm this is the second day this week I am a busy home business this is costing me time and issues its not good enough
