The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

Long story short, I rejected his ludicrous proposal to destroy my concrete slab driveway so they could run the shortest cheapest route of cables.

Currently dealing with a $300 bill for installing an NBN fibre box inside which increases internet speed 10 fold, and the landlord is making us relocate it for the amazing low price of $770 (wants it moved 2 metres down the wall it’s on). Ugh

Fttn was cheap to install but severely limits revenue and has a massive maintenance costs which means it can never make a return on the investment. It's why #nbn convinced LNP to provide additional funding and begin the free upgrade to fttp.
