@_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

@dmccann65 @Ballyurra @slsandpet Thanks for the NBN rant, I’m well aware of its shortcomings.. but she asked for an alternative provider since Telstra are refusing to help her perform any troubleshooting. Superloop will help her with this

Isn’t it nice that Telstra will reduce my bill pro rata for not having Internet over Christmas due to their **** NBN service for a few days. Absolute joke from a **** service provider.

Dear @Optus - is it standard policy to insist that a customer has to have family to call to check if an NBN convection has been restored? Lack of connection yesterday forced me to go secure a place with a connection. Your rep insisted I could call a family member to check.

@NBN_Australia It would be nice to get real NBN here. We're supposed to be Metro Melbourne, and can't even get ADSL. There's private, local businesses offering 25mbit fixed wireless, and your solution is to change all of Aus to "NBN available" by including skymuster. As if that's a real option.

@NBN_Australia I would rather remember that moment a few years ago where my upload speed was cut in half with no reduced price in my plan, iinet kept saying nbn to blame. When working from home this becomes a further issue beyond sub level service. Why NBN Australia, because no other choice

@NBN_Australia My daughter & son in-law finished building their home in Seaton 3 months ago, NBN came but didn't connect because the cable to the pole hadn't been pulled through, after numerous calls and emails, still no connection, complaint now escalted to the Ombudsman., Very poor service

@NBN_Australia No one would put up with the appalling piecemeal service that is continuously way below par. Quite apart from the endless interruptions for emergencies and or routine maintenance. It has now gone on for years without letting up, the NBN is obviously not at all fit for purpose. 🤬
