    @_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

    @dmccann65 @Ballyurra @slsandpet Thanks for the NBN rant, I’m well aware of its shortcomings.. but she asked for an alternative provider since Telstra are refusing to help her perform any troubleshooting. Superloop will help her with this

    Looks like @NBN_Australia no showed again, pushed for the third time to the 28th. Looks like I'll be without internet going on 7 weeks. Said the exact same thing as last time. I used to fibre splice in my career, this is a 1-2 hour fix... It's like the twilight zone.

    What about all the contacts in other states who might need medical help while in iso? What about regional areas that can't do video calls because of the completely botched NBN? What is the point of cutting telehealth at all? Why is this govt determined to kill Medicare?

    @Telstra Total lies. "Unlimited data on 4G when there isn't NBN available" i don't have NBN here and yet there is 4G in town but nope! Telstra says "nah, we mean you need to use NBN before you can use our 4G service" but get what, there is actually ADSL with other companies still. Idiots

    The internet here is so slow it is infuriating @Telstra Ditto my Telstra mobile service even tho paid $1000 for an aerial on roof. And have booster etc for WiFi. No NBN in this street cos of TREES. Feel like selling up some days.

    @AnthonyJohnMas2 In Lennox Head the internet shuts down when it rains or is overcast. NBN says that cannot happen, but the reality is different.
