@dmccann65 @Ballyurra @slsandpet Thanks for the NBN rant, I’m well aware of its shortcomings.. but she asked for an alternative provider since Telstra are refusing to help her perform any troubleshooting. Superloop will help her with this

@_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

@marietg @MiRandB13 @mediawatcher83 They get it to work by saying we have 10000 people on the network on average 1000 are online at a time. But if all 10000 got online at once they are screwed. Not because of the network design (even with ****** FttN) the nbn prices from day 1 were stupidly high

OK @Optus this @NBN_Australia inconsistent service is becoming annoying when I am trying to work. When will it be back up again?

NBN has been a PITA for over a week now!🤬 Several disconnects every day, mostly during the day & especially weekends. It was down all day today until after 7PM. I'm hoping it was because NBN Co. finally fixed whatever the issue was! We live in hope!😖

@mediahunter @nbnnews And in this day and age why can’t we access NBN Evening News on our computers and mobile devices. When our tv went kaput, I could watch every news service live except for NBN News :(

@nofuschia Nah you can't blame NBN for a website falling over. It appears that they just didn't build a robust site, which is usually just poor engineering by amateurs.

@JodiMcKayMP @rawprawn25 @David_Threlfo Content piped in from 'The bowels of Willoughby', is not the same as local or regional content. The areas of media i hope receive scrutiny from the Murdoch royal commission is the need to support emerging media orgs., regional autonomy and true source media content. RIP NBN 3.

@pandakapowski @FalunSchlong @DrakeLim The NBN is a fiberoptic connection that was proposed in 2007. It wasn't available until about 2016-7 to the end users. Speed is only 100mbps max. That's very slow and about 10-15 years behind many Asian countries.

@Aussie_BB You are only as good as the NBN. What a shame you have such limitations on your ability to coordinate and liaise with them. I am 6 days without internet due to NBN issue and cancelled appointments 24 hour waiting times to submit a reservation request.
