  @_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

  Our NBN is on the fritz so our ISP has thrown us back to 4G. My med prescriptions have somehow been ballsed up. The $160 monitor we had to get for our cat isn't working. It never ends. Why is it so hard? And I wonder, why can't anyone just do their jobs competently any more?

  @BiteSizedMediaX The Howard Costello government also left a future fund which is something like $240 billion now. Labour are eyeing that off, I wonder if they’ve already broken into it. Rather than just paying into it, they bought out NDIS, Nbn, all these other green BS things.

  @FannyFitch Maybe they need to go back to the fail-safe future, using Labors' Full Fibre NBN, that Vested Interests installed the LNP Crime Org Puppet Junta to nobble with stone age Copper. It operated well, for over 65 years, even on iron age Copper, before being sent into the cloud.

  You're partly right - we don't have a free market. The market here is heavily distorted with gov intervention. Inflation is cause by increased money supply. That inflation affects everyone - including grocery stores, NBN providors, health funds. They must pass those costs down. Fuel is also subject to inflation in addition to the fuel crisis. This impacts input costs for many businesses, not all, to varying degrees. The only thing that causes market wide inflation is Gov.

  @WhosFibbing Serious outages occurred under the LNP, including failures that blocked Triple Zero, crippled mobile networks, and shut down parts of the NBN. Some were longer, larger, or more dangerous than the recent Telstra event. So please do carry on.
