    @_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

    @johnb78 True but our 2nd rate NBN will continue to incur large costs due to the poor state of the copper network. A network Telstra happily sold for a motza.

    @Adrisis83 Thanks for reaching out, Adrian! Nothing widespread was reported. Have you tried restarting both the modem and NBN Network Connection Device? Turn them off for a minute, turn them back on, wait for the lights to settle then see if you'll be able to connect again. -John

    @NBN_Australia The storm wasn’t even that bad here and the box was the only thing affected?! They’re sending someone out next week so I have to try and do uni via hotspot 🙄

    @Optus @networkoutage I've been having issues with my NBN connection since the 20th of November. I've had two technician visits and nothing has been fixed. The technician has outlined a fault on the NBN side. (PNRI) Ref: INC00014493942. Nobody can give me a timeframe for a fix.

    @rkd993 @VerschurenFred back in the days when Aussies were hungry, not so much now, Aussies knocked back a Fibre NBN, that astounded me, then they elected LNP 3 times in a row, no more for me, will support my Victorian Labor team with pride

    @VernVerass Verner, it's worse than that. The NBN was just an attempt to renationalise that part of Telstra that should never have been sold in the first place - Alston bears utlimate responsibility for our rubbish broadband in Australia.

    @techAU @NickRossTech @NBN_Australia The opposite is the case for businesses, free installation if you are in an existing landline network, they recoup costs by charging a high month ly fee.
