@_thomasparkes @NBN_Australia Yep - starlink (and similar services in US) appear to be the primary use case. It's a per-device service; I'm using it to access a Raspberry Pi server. Setup involves installing wireguard and configuring a tunnel to the endpoint.

@dmccann65 @Ballyurra @slsandpet Thanks for the NBN rant, I’m well aware of its shortcomings.. but she asked for an alternative provider since Telstra are refusing to help her perform any troubleshooting. Superloop will help her with this

@NBN_Australia Can I get some clarification if Wandana Heights 3216, will be included in this Upgrade Program to 1GBPS. I can see Highton is. The service is this suburb is almost unusable. No Internet provider can help fix these issues…

@Optus has the most incompetent support team ever, i just want them to send an NBN technician over because clearly the troubleshooting methods do not do anything long-term

@JennaPrice Could we have left the NBN up to private enterprise? Government used to do quite a bit of infrastructure. While I believe government should not be in business, we have had some horrible outcomes of outsourcing to the rest the world to build our govt stuff that hadto be remediated

The first mob I ever went to was related to NBN-ZTE, followed by more, including joining SONA marches. I think GMA’s regime was what first ‘radicalized’ me. I’m not at all surprised, but her being one of the evils we’re still fighting now speaks of how bad things are.

@R_Chirgwin @alexkidman It's behind a paywall so I can't read it. I hope that it also takes a crack at Murdoch putting pressure on the Govt to make the NBN fail. Any fool knows that FTTH was the only way to go for the future now we are paying double for it. Turnbull loved Murdoch back then & took orders

@Kristov086 I know it's the NBN but there is still the issue of purchasing enough capacity to service customers. Optus don't. I switched from them to Aussie Broadband. Use my own router and never looked back. Not perfect. Nothing is but it's been brilliant by comparison.
