My home NBN connection went down sometime between 2am and 8.30am on Monday. The internet is still out, more than 24 hours later. I don’t know why or when it will be back. I live less than 10 minutes out of the Bendigo CBD.

Using an @nokia 2.3 on the @amaysimAU (@Optus) network, regularly get (much) better @Speedtest results than using same device on @NBN_Australia networks.

@Hammyhamster10 @TurnbullMalcolm Having a great time with the NBN getting choked and my connection all but disappearing. All the while being told the NBN isn’t down by Telstra. Joke - and a pretty poor one at that.

@QuentinDempster Amazon servers shut down/ remover anyone who disagrees with them from using their servers. That is why NBN took them on just another link in the chain for controlling the people.

@QuentinDempster I live in a caravan park. NBN is connected to the parks office but the park owner won’t pay for whatever is required to have it available to residents. My best option is Starlink. I won’t use Starlink. Hopefully this new deal will help myself & others who have our hands tied. 🤞

@QuentinDempster NBN selecting a non existent network because it’s not Elon.

@QuentinDempster Ive been with starlink for nearly 5 years now and even if nbn/amazon offered me 5 years free service.. i'd still stay with starlink.

@QuentinDempster But people can still purchase Starlink like they can now? I mean it is always good to have a choice. And knowing NBN pricing Starlink will probably turn out to be a cheaper & faster service.

@QuentinDempster Starlink (atleast right now, and if i had a bet for a very long time to come) is vastly VASTLY superior to Amazon's OneWeb.. So typical NBN Co for taking the **** choice

@QuentinDempster NBN is terrible. Paying out your *** for 3rd world speeds

@CasFarmerCD @NtDrifter If the Gov just made it easy for all LEO ISP's to access the ground network access equally and gave people any assistance with associated hardware costs directly, not through a NBN style company the market would sort itself out.

@NtDrifter Totally agree, Starlink’s reliability beats NBN hands down rural users deserve better than empty promises

@QuentinDempster Why wouldn’t customers cut out the bloated, expensive middleman (NBN) and just go directly to Amazon/starlink?
