Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South Wales@NBN_Australia I spoke to my provider, and they have been told by NBN that there is planned remediation but no ETA. I'm just disappointed that today's visit by NBN wasn't planned properly. I've no medical issues relying on the network, just hoping for service to get my work and relaxation done.

GG (@GordonGhekoAus) reported from Moss Vale, New South WalesInternet outage in Moss Vale with Harbour ISP - anyone else impacted? #harbourisp #nbn #OutageUpdate

Stiletto Black Jack - Very Unpleasant to Trolls (@jackfjack6) reported from Moss Vale, New South Wales@ShiannonC Squillions. Telstra, NBN and AFP have been aware for at least 4 months. No idea what they done to resolve this scam issue.
-
Blistering Black Jack - LNP Chasseur (@jackfjack6) reported from Moss Vale, New South WalesWas great try-on other day, April Fools about fixing NBN. Gotta be a big at attack big target for Labor, on nation-wide issue. Guess we will find out soon.

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South WalesWakey, wakey, rise and shine @NBN_Australia! It's now 21 days since my service went down and today is the 3rd date you have given my retail provider for restoration. ( No updates as of Friday so we assume all systems go).

Martin Visser (@martyvis) reported from Yerrinbool, New South Wales@mverbloot @NBN_Australia @iiNet I don't think so. I've been delighted with the 50/20 service via copper. But something hit the aerial lead-in cable at 3:30 Monday morning 3 weeks ago. A neighbour on Telstra was restored within days but for some reason NBN can't supply a tech with a ladder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DissentingSkeptic (@DissentingS) reportedSpeed is latency. No satellite connection is "high speed" sick of the disinformation. Starlink is 20ms-40ms+ latency like mobile garbage is. NBN is a whopping 600ms latency. They need to keep this junk away from fibre areas where I get 2ms latency and have had since 2022.
-
purana (@purana) reportedSuperloop is the 3rd RSP. Let's see if I can get more details out of them tomorrow on what path/route of the FTTN is a problem. NBN co seriously can't manage a raffle in a pub.
-
Lev Szeps (@LevSzeps) reported@strangerous10 We already own the NBN, so why can't emergency services be run directly by the NBN?
-
Tulip 💐 (@cutelipsxx) reportedWhen I went into the carport, the light was on, the power point was turned off and the ethernet cable ripped out and the port was broken. He had taken the cover off the NBN box and that's what woke me up- when he was putting it back on. Pretty sure he was looking for a spare key
-
peter rowe (@Prowerock1) reported@Martywa467 @VoteLewko @Starlink NBN faults are dealt with via the telcos. After four cancelled appointments by NBN after Telstra said it was an NBN issue ( it was), I bought a Telstra 5G router and threw out the NBN box. I would prefer Starlink but it has a congestion charge in our area of $700.

WhatYouThinkIThink 🇦🇺♥️🇺🇦 🔴🟡⚫️ 🇮🇱🇵🇸 (@WhatYouThinkIT1) reported@ianclarkeAU Now explain how Starlink is going to remove the latency of the speed of light to/from LEO and then transmission from ground stations compared to fibre? Max bandwidth Starlink: 310/44mbps (down/up). NBN FTTP: 2Gbps/500Mbps. Wireless/Wifi/Satellite will always be slower.
-
The Opinionated Veteran (@the_vocal_one) reported@ianclarkeAU @CovfefeDnUnder Mate, you're talking to a @Starlink customer... I use it on the Gold Coast, and I'll likely never go back to the NBN, even though I can get fiber, largely because I refuse to pay for something that is intentionally outdated. Outside of the cities, #Starlink is the answer.

Anthony Kroeger (@kr0der) reportedhow is my wifi out for 10 HOURS for a maintenance man 💀💀 during peak work hours too, 2pm-midnight “NBN are doing emergency network maintenance between Fri 12th June 2026 14:00 AEST and Sat 13th June 2026 00:00 AEST.”

Darren Kearney - NEON2K ! NBA2K26 (@neon76) reported@AlboMP @DeltaGoodrem @JacintaAllanMP This is a great policy for people who have been sacked, or really from another state, with how it used to be, and have to somehow pay out the whole contract? And it's not really like that for NBN or mobile internet plans and it shouldn't be like that for private rentals either, and I've maybe g9t a red flag for renting? because this has happened to me, even though I pa8d up until I left and had a dog in the shared backyard, after I had started to rent with the real estate agent, and it should then void the contract of the rental, anyway, if I was upset with the dog being in the shared backyard. And they really wanted the full contract of the rental paid out? and even with all what I've said, it be's like to be a red flag maybe for me, for possible future rentals? and I think it has a big negative, for a more secure, two year or more rental contract, which should be better, not worse, how the old rental laws, now, were. So, this is again, great Victorian Labour policies! and ones that will make do much of a difference to people, who would of been in so much of a problem, and not really realise it, with rental contracts, and it's all like kinda NBN internet plans, which is really how it should be, especially with how house prices have inflated that much anyway.

Raymond McKeown (@RaymondKeown3) reported@Rexdinasaur I worked with Conroy on the original NBN & built the first site in Kiama, it was a disaster, it cost Transgrid $10 million, not one of NBN management had ever built a network, they had no idea, never understood the unique properties of Fibre cable, Conroy would simply not listen, one deal he did cost $800 million as a stuff up, I walked away & said to my people, everyone of our competitors will chase this, lets chase the business they ignore.
