Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Queenscliff and nearby locations:

  • spudhowley spudgun (@spudhowley) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia ..pretty critical service, without having any say in the matter, is extremely frustrating. We just want our old Cable back.

  • gobergmoser Gabriel Bergmoser (@gobergmoser) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Top work from @VodafoneIN: postponing our NBN connection leaving our internet a crawl, not connecting on the rescheduled day (no explanation) and ensuring that their hold music is excruciating and populated with the same irritating messages to make you want to hang up. Brilliant.

  • SeeingWithStars Stephanie Johnson (@SeeingWithStars) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Anecdotally we have a very slow internet The NBN should never have been stepped back Change the management if you must but don’t mess with the plan

  • Japandaman71 🇯🇵ジャパンダマン 🍐 ANIMAL CROSSING (@Japandaman71) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Well your lack of service forced me onto NBN. It really isn’t acceptable to throttle my speed from double digits down to 1 or 3kbps...consistently over a number of years.

  • Daymeaux Daimo (@Daymeaux) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@iiNet Ever since I changed to NBN a couple of months ago, I can’t log in, says it doesn’t recognise my email address, or points of ID to get my login or reset password. Terrible!

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I'm currently working with 13 22 00 to figure out why NBN is not working. There is no smooth sailing.

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia I have been told by NBN via Telstra that this is an outage. I have an been open ticket with Telstra on this.

  • Hutton_Lab Craig Hutton (@Hutton_Lab) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the tips @NBN_Australia, but the support I really needed was fibre to the premise! New coax was laid in my street to do HFC. FTTP would not have cost much more. There are physical limitations to copper and it can only be optimized so much.

  • judgejosie jo girl (@judgejosie) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Jesus. I wouldn't trust any of the LNP with an app that stores my data. The NBN still hasn't arrived here and I am told it sucks.

  • philomglol Phil Wait (@philomglol) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Another day another @NBN_Australia scheduled outage

  • VitoCDoria Vito Doria (@VitoCDoria) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus It's now 36 hours since the NBN has been down.

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Yeh no. There is nothing great about a 2 day outage.

  • Hutton_Lab Craig Hutton (@Hutton_Lab) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DuttonChemistry @sjwill99 @gnljameson @p_schwerdtfeger A tangential issue, but Oz can never do online teaching properly with our half-baked NBN. 5 people in my house trying to do live sessions on Zoom/Teams through a single (newly laid) coaxial cable doesn’t work. We are ‘lagging’ in so many ways.

  • Mike_Young88 Michael Young (@Mike_Young88) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @wendy_harmer @NBN_Australia Good service sure makes a difference. 🙂

  • Kentpieterse Kent Pieterse (@Kentpieterse) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia it’s almost been 24 hours without internet in some of the Brimbank Council suburbs in Victoria. What’s the ETR at this point as the longer my internet is down, the less of my job I can do. PS I understand you have limited employees due to lockdowns but come on...

  • heathcwilson Heath Wilson (@heathcwilson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@JJFyzz @McKellInstitute @TurnbullMalcolm He is on the record already in recent weeks saying the government should never have built the NBN in any form. Should have been built by private sector. 5G technology is already delivering very high speeds. The original cost was extremely underbaked. Would have cost near $200B

@Jeff_Sparrow Try once you've connected. - Not being able to contact the supplier (NBN) and the source of the issue directly. - Once you have lodged a ticket, being actively blocked from contacting support. @Telstra IVR: Your ticket is in progress, you receive updates through the App

  • AdisaLumi Lumi Adisa, PhD (@AdisaLumi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

So, as it turns out, @NBN_Australia has come into my area connecting everyone pretty much except us. The most frustrating part is the disconnection of our ongoing ADSL service without ANY indication of when we'll be connected. Spent almost 2 hours talking to @NBN_Australia...

  • ellisoconnor 😷Champagne Dame of Oz 🥂 (@ellisoconnor) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@selga55 Yes as it was a condition of our NBN but we never answer it

HFC - $300 + parts NBN charge. FTTC - unsure, you need a 2nd pair like FTTN. Satellite - no

  • Katheri03143948 Katherine perry (@Katheri03143948) reported

@YardleyShooting I left Oz 46 after living there for 46 years. My son escaped in December 20 after seeing the writing on the wall. He was employed by NBN (gov broadband) had to enter 8 homes a day while small business closed down, & he not allowed to leave his home after 8pm. He joined the dots.

  • 0ldD0gNewTricks CryptoDog (@0ldD0gNewTricks) reported

@byronkaye For real though I feel bad for Australia. Just 18months ago I was in Queensland installing NBN on 30 year old Foxtel cables with a maximum speed of 100mbps (likely speed of 70mbps).... They tried to cut costs and ended up having to do the work twice, 3x over budget (so far)

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@MattJReadette Hi Matt, it's not good to hear that you're experiencing an interruption to your service. I can see from your earlier tweet that nbn Co have advised there is an outage on the network. We'd be happy to look into this, just DM us your suburb and postcode - Aron

  • Data_OCE Data (@Data_OCE) reported

yes I've done every single bit of trouble shooting under the sun I even spend $200 on a new router, noting. I've put in half dozen support request with @DodoAustralia the thing Is my service was fine till a month ago holy **** I'm so annoyed right now @NBN_Australia fix yo ****

  • _dette_s 🍻 Dette 🔞 (@_dette_s) reported

the thing I'm taking away from this, is the fact I waited 2 weeks, 2 damage reports, 2 phone calls, and a bunch of tweets to get a response from Telstra, but NBN contacted me after 6 hours after giving me the estimate of 5 days for a response

  • lukeweston Luke Weston (@lukeweston) reported

@suziesheehy Unless maybe there has already been a cable internet service installed at the house before NBN, which is what the “Telstra” one probably is. I’d guess that might have been re-used for the NBN coax?

  • TheShallowPond TheShallowPond (@TheShallowPond) reported

Great living in a regional area where the NBN is just always ****.
