  • NialFinegan Nial Finegan (@NialFinegan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@redruby17 Besides the NBN itself look out for really poor Road works, shoddy pavement repairs, ugly/poor cabling installation on buildings. (My NBN is with Telstra “Hybrid Fibre Coaxial” and have no issues with service/speeds)

  • unintimidating tim moss (@unintimidating) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra i’m not concerned about my nbn service. i’m concerned about your pathetic excuse for customer service. when you make mistakes you never apologise. i have to fight to have issues addressed and problems solved. #DoBetter

  • dcor9 Dom Corsino (@dcor9) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia seeking your help to ensure services are connected and prioritized, waiting 6 months to be entered into the system so we can procure from a service provider is a long time to wait...PLEASE HELP #SOS #WeNeedConnectivity

NBN confirms it is an area outage and is working to fix it.

  • IAmPaulHarrison Dr Paul Harrison (@IAmPaulHarrison) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Although my understanding is that’s it’s an NBN outage, not a @VodafoneAU outage. So there’s not a lot they can do other than tell me there’s an outage. Which they did. Now back to my original request...

  • aussiegeek {:ok, Alan} (@aussiegeek) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Ha I’m having an unscheduled nbn outage at home… because of a scheduled power outage

  • learning2tri Simon (@learning2tri) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Epic fail by Telstra. Nbn installed for some 9 months still can’t bill be right now not willing to help. @Telstra #Telstrafail #nbn

Hey @Optus trying to transfer to nbn on pc but your chat is not working

  • fowl2 james ay (@fowl2) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Somehow despite an NBN installer attending, and all the Appropriate Lights being lit, the service is still "in progress" and therefore my grandparents still have no internet 2 weeks after moving.

  • msg621 Mark G (@msg621) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

still no internet - how long do I have to wait for @Optus to sort it’s operation out. After feeling pushed to switch to nbn within a few months rather than the allowed 18 months, a stuff up with connection dates and now no internet. Rubbish effort Optus. Truly awful

  • guzmany 1985OZ (@guzmany) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@keanimj @MyRepublicAU @NBN_Australia My service has been terrible for a while now. Changing service providers tomorrow. #myrepublicdidntworkforme

  • DynamicDusa Dusa Shah (@DynamicDusa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Thanks @Optus after messing up my address on a NBN order I'm waiting over 3 hours to get through to someone to get the address fixed. Funnily enough they can't see what the problem is!!

  • stevescicluna Steve Scicluna (@stevescicluna) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus @NBN_Australia If the speed was at least getting above 50 Mbps, I’d attribute it to network congestion. However, 50 Mbps seems to be a hard limit, when I’m paying for 100 Mbps.

  • terencehuynh Terence Huynh 🏳️‍🌈👨🏻‍💻✏️ (@terencehuynh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Yeah, NBN really has terrible PR if this is their response to a journo.

  • d_benincasa Daniel Benincasa (@d_benincasa) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Improve the NBN, increase competitive price value in the sport streaming service markets

@LwHP_Token Never had that problem #nbn

  • algo_anthill Dancer, your Space Dad 🐝🐝🐝🐝 (@algo_anthill) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN had been kind of spotty today. Clearly an infrastructure issue. It's been out now for almost an hour.

  • spottedpelican 🇺🇦Just Some CoverUps Random💉3× (@spottedpelican) reported

STILL having problems with my @Optus mobile phone internet AND home NBN. Referred to a case mgr again. Told to check in via Optus app. How can I when I have no internet? I work very long hrs on www. 2 wks with issue This msg not sent from home NBN (of course). Ridiculous!

  • Sheoakbloke1 Sheoakbloke (@Sheoakbloke1) reported

@fuzzi_mcapples @JimMolan Mobile 'blackspots' at that stage were eliminated according to 'market forces' because we still had a universal national PHONE NETWORK provided by Telstra that DIDN'T FAIL from power outages or flood. The LNP's refusal to use FTTP NBN created the dependency on mobile networks

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@KylieWoods3 We're sorry to hear this, Kylie. As all appointments are booked and managed by your provider and their internal nbn support team, we'd encourage you to liaise with them for details as to why this was not attended to and to reschedule the appointment, if required. Thanks, Sarah

  • Warrenreardon2 Warren reardon (@Warrenreardon2) reported

@JimMolan Big **** Jim!I live on a farm just out of Goulburn(down the road from Angus !)& 50 mins to Canberra our Nations capital !I have never had any F#%cking mobile reception or data and still don’t !The $500000 Barnaby used to hook up NBN data to mates would fix a lot of black spots

  • roodave David Caldwell (@roodave) reported

Is the architecture of the NBN normal by world standards? Seems odd to me that resilience of landlines (in emergencies, fire, flooding, blackout) seriously undermined by now dependence on consumer power supply. What use is a landline if not resilient and reliable?

  • scrantic scrantic 💉💉💉 (@scrantic) reported

@calebcluff @Telstra Sadly that's to be expected. Nearly all the sites I manage have been full copper shut down forced migration to the NBN, you must be rural enough that they haven't pushed the button yet. Fixed wireless is over contended typically making it unusable, the upgrades may fix that.

  • HumanInGeneral Rhonda Debney (@HumanInGeneral) reported

@Anne_Ruston If @ScottMorrisonMP is serious about technology and not taxes to deal with climate change we are in deep ****. Evidence 1. LNP NBN, scoot's pandemic tracing app, 3. Robodebt algorithms. Tell me about scots successfully technology projects. Stop misleading people.

  • andary_dianne Dianne Andary (@andary_dianne) reported

@NBN_Australia I already tried messaging you privately and you came back with a generic response saying that you couldn’t do anything to escalate my issue and that my provider would continue to give me updates. Waiting from 23 Feb to now is not acceptable so I am now using 4G until 5G available

  • AshOldfield Ash Oldfield (@AshOldfield) reported

The NBN workers teaming up with the construction workers to move the entire street's bins so they don't get missed by the garbage truck has restored my faith in humanity.

  • NeCWe 🐟💧 Neil Weston #TeamTink (@NeCWe) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Are you sharing how the LNP is belatedly trying to fix all the NBN failures caused by the adoption of copper cabling ? Excuse me madam, appreciate that Tony Abbot got Turnbull to trash the NBN plan .. but don't worry, we are spending lots more money & time to fix it, maybe 2029?
