Ok geeks help a dinosaur. I need to choose NBN for home and am considering taking up a streaming service for tv/movies. I’ve narrowed it down to Telstra and Aussie. Can anyone help me make a decision? #NBN

  • mektronik mektronik (@mektronik) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ChristineEwing7 ETS was as terrible as the mining tax nothingburgers, NBN was gutted, NDIS is getting privatised. I'm sorry but none of that stuck because they kept bending over to get it done.

  • PaulLenkic Paul Lenkic (@PaulLenkic) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Intermittent @Telstra NBN and @Foxtel issues all of a sudden! The worst timing ever! 🤬

  • benleo_econ Ben Grodeck (@benleo_econ) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@yannikyriacos Due to the below par NBN network we have, that extra fast internet will come in handy.

  • Melissa_Moyle Melissa (@Melissa_Moyle) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Found a whole lot of my meeting note books from when I was at NBN and yeah, I am pretty sure I was nowhere near as stupid as a lot of the people there tried to make me think I was.

  • pratik_sawant10 Pratik Sawant (@pratik_sawant10) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@BelongAU My NBN seems to be down for past couple of days now. Speed looks healthy but none of the content seems to load. I also checked and there are no outages in 3122.

  • llament 💧💧 Llewellyn Griffiths (@llament) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus I am an Optus customer. The caller didn't claim to be from Optus. Since I recently received a couple of text messages from Optus regarding NBN maintenance in my area it seemed unlikely that they would be followed by a threat to terminate my connection

  • scottvirus Scott Pappali (@scottvirus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@glen_dsouza WTF, how did you get that on NBN?

  • BeingOverall 💚Lisa Tantrika ॐ , 💫 (Overall Being)💫💉 (@BeingOverall) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • DavidMo70005810 David Moore (@DavidMo70005810) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra You just put my nbn bill up. I can’t cancel within contract without a penalty but you can put prices up. When the contract expires you will lose a 20 year customer. Mobile and internet. So long. Never to return

  • paulieferrari Paulie Ferrari (@paulieferrari) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AussieAppsro @carloslicea1 @AngloBeat Agree, when you consider how any corporates are now using nbn, yet I heard nothing from my employer about their main offices impacted by network outages. Another #freedumbrally fairytale

  • takvera John Englart EAM 🌏💦💉 (@takvera) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

We’ll take that as a statement of a poor NBN #qanda

  • josephsconnell Joe Connell (@josephsconnell) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@WillTaylorNZ @NBN_Australia @iiNet Yea that’s not a good term. It’s basically mobile broadband caught by a modem and turned into a wifi signal

  • blokedesign Ben Loke (@blokedesign) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

1st day of Lockdown 5.0 and home-schooling withe kids and internet goes down. @Aussie_BB are you having issues with @NBN_Australia ? #Lockdown5 #melbournelockdown

  • bthomps22 Bruce T (@bthomps22) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia So can I regard this maintenance as essential or is it non-essential but not limited? Optus says it is to get more customers into the network. And you can’t do it overnight or at the weekend?

  • TitoPerez89 TITO (@TitoPerez89) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@thatone0022 @PRGuy17 Wouldn't be hilarious if NBN Co just happened to be doing network maintenance in the area!!

  • CorrectWeight1 Aaron 💉(1 AZ + Flu Shot) (@CorrectWeight1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • EricAnderson41 Eric Anderson (@EricAnderson41) reported

@NBN_Australia Thanks but I have multiple services (tv, internet) affected by the NBN outage. I have two different providers for those, so would prefer to contact one vendor (NBN), who is the provider affecting those services.

  • Wippeyy Reign Wippey (@Wippeyy) reported

    @itsWemo @NBN_Australia Wtf that’s so ridiculous

  • itsWemo Reign Wemo (@itsWemo) reported

@reverse_fps @NBN_Australia You get better ping to Melbourne and I live 2 hours away from it. Haha. Crazy how nz has good internet but aus is complete garbage.

  • fatoldduffer FatOldDuffer (@fatoldduffer) reported

@MFWitches 1. The electricity distribution network (aka the Grid). 2. NBN.

  • doc_akxl Anil Xavier (@doc_akxl) reported

@NBN_Australia A very disappointed customer - waiting for 6 weeks to get NBN connection from a pit outside the house . This is after escalation! Still no connection, NBN needs to improve on basic infrastructure provision

  • dean_harris Dean Harris (@dean_harris) reported

NBN stands for "Never working Broadband Network". It spends more time down than up 🙃 @NBN_Australia

  • PaulHenry524 Google it mate! 🙄 💉 (@PaulHenry524) reported

@tomfoster66 Merely legacy very early TelFox from the early days of Foxtel (?mid 90s). Free trial then never fell for getting it. The harassment went on for months. For NBN 'changeover' they merely hook up somewhere 'out there'. A name change, in effect. A complete joke, (on us).

  • MelissaMitch4 Melissa_Mitch (@MelissaMitch4) reported

    NBN still not working.

  • ytc8438 Ty (@ytc8438) reported

@randlight @MRowlandMP It's simple. 1. Fire everyone in NBN management. 2. Write off the cost of the FTTN disaster and charge it to LNP electorates that voted for copper shitband. 3. Rip out fibre from the LNP electorates, force them onto the copper FTTN **** they voted for.

  • DavidGr07837209 David Griffiths (@DavidGr07837209) reported

I support the new Labor Government intervention in the affairs of NBN Co and in requesting the company to withdraw its Special Access Undertaking (SAU) variation i.e. increase prices. NBN is increasingly for the rich.
