  • DanSilkstone Silk's talkings (@DanSilkstone) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

First day hooked up to @TurnbullMalcolm’s NBN and our 5-laptop homeschool is barely functioning. So exciting to switch from a service that has worked just fine for years to one that is already unable to keep up with what we need it to do.

  • AussieStorBlog Anthony Vandewerdt (@AussieStorBlog) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Aussie_BB @NBN_Australia Hi guys. Telling me exactly 1 minute before you turn off my internet that there is a scheduled outage is a dishonest business practice. Can you please use more honest language ? 1 minutes notice is not “scheduled.” It’s very much “unscheduled”

  • owen_minogue Owen Minogue (@owen_minogue) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@BelongAU Hi Chris, yes I did check that. Even when the NBN website said there was an unplanned incident in my area effecting my service the Belong Website said there were no issues with connection

  • matthestoryofus Matt Tritton (@matthestoryofus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Problem 1. What I was using as the TV antenna connection is apparently the NBN plug, so I will have no TV? Getting weird.....

  • owen_minogue Owen Minogue (@owen_minogue) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia It’s just very difficult when your service has been out for hours and the NBN website hasn’t been updated to reflect what’s actually happening until 6hrs later

  • owen_minogue Owen Minogue (@owen_minogue) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Is anyone else having issues with their @NBN_Australia in Northcote? @BelongAU #NBN

Oh #PEM, why do you hate me so? Yesterday was so much fun. Up by 7am for NBN internet installation. Spent the day configuring the home network & family devices including the PS4 and actually played a game. Watched some TV with family. Felt alive. Paying for it today. #MECFS #PWME

  • VitoCDoria Vito Doria (@VitoCDoria) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus The internet signal is very poor and it has been since last night. When using the NBN in Reservoir, the speeds are very slow or the internet might even drop out at times. Your website says that there are some problems in my area but it has been 12 hours.

  • vahidtaslimi Vahid Taslimi (@vahidtaslimi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia my nbn service has not been working since 7pm yesterday. You don’t have any outage on your site but send me an email saying there is an outage. It’s 21st century for god sake! Is there anyway we can hold you accountable for this?

  • grahamwkidd Graham W Kidd (@grahamwkidd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • DoodyDarren Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported

@bollgare @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP How wrong can you be? * Not obsolete. * Has only "failed" where the coalition nobbled it. * More expensive than what, exactly? * It is available to the vast majority of homes. Mobile coverage is all PRIVATE. Any issues there are 100% unrelated to the PUBLIC NBN.

  • bollgare Matt (@bollgare) reported

@BurkeHellibee @DoodyDarren @AlboMP Im 47. The NBN will be overtaken by private because it's "obsolete". Was never made to last past a election cycle. Failed on all points. It's more expensive. Not available to a large part of the community. We hava a crap mobile range because money went into Bloated NBN.

  • MikeTho88035737 Reality Bites (@MikeTho88035737) reported

@AlboMP In Williamstown, 7km from Melbourne CBD, maximum NBN speeds are are 15Mbps down load and 4Mbps upload! It’s an embarrassment!

  • DoodyDarren Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported

@bollgare @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP Bollocks. I frame it from a technology and social standpoint. I had "internet" before there even was a public internet. Dial-up. Bulletin boards and remote work (in the age of dumb terminals). The NBN brought decent internet to places that never had it.

  • imboudee M (@imboudee) reported

@DHurburgh @MrKRudd @NBN_Australia Stupid thing is, just because you live next door to a node, doesn’t mean you connect to it directly. Personally, I’d pay the $8k. That’s cheap and the value of your home will shoot up accordingly, probably even more!!

  • kayleen87686977 kay - 5th Estate Reporting for Duty (@kayleen87686977) reported

@alien_dave @AlboMP @julia16815 Ok let me clarify a bit better. A lot of regional are going starlink cause nbn sucks

  • bollgare Matt (@bollgare) reported

@DoodyDarren @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP City people already had cable internet. Out in the sticks they still have trouble providing NBN. I could not get it in Noosa. I had to use Mobile.

  • bollgare Matt (@bollgare) reported

@DoodyDarren @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP NBN failed then. Plenty of spots on sunshine coast have no mobile network.

  • CazThomas8 CT Scamping (@CazThomas8) reported

@suren_senat @MrKRudd Don't let facts get in the way of FTTN omnishambles that has cost more and delivered a slower & more unstable NBN. The original plan was right, as the previous Lib Minister coincided by changing back to it. The lies, mistruths and farcical decade of a wasted opportunity.

  • DoodyDarren Darren (@DoodyDarren) reported

@bollgare @BurkeHellibee @AlboMP You likely have access to the NBN. It may just be the poor connection types like fixed wireless or satellite. I wouldn't blame you for not wanting either. Starlink may be available to you. As for mobile, talk to Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, etc. Nothing to do with the NBN.
