  • elee_bella Ella Lee (@elee_bella) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@julessz71 @Channel10AU Bring on the NBN, so I can avoid commercial tv’s poor time management skills, inconsistency, and stream everything.

  • morgenstern28 gem (@morgenstern28) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Non working internet for 48 hours I need a technician to visit. Business only help from Telstra is text message exchange. Paying top price for NBN cannot work cannot get a technician to work and online service takes hours with only negative outcomes

  • chloemcintyre__ Chloe McIntyre (@chloemcintyre__) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia your technician failed to show up to the first app we booked and waited three weeks for, we’ve just waited another 2 weeks for your technician to fail showing up again? Can you help please???

  • AngeandBarney AngelaBarney (@AngeandBarney) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra REALLY struggling with you guys right now. My husband and I both took half day off work yesterday and patiently waited for NBN to be connected between 12-5...NO ONE came! I was on the text chat from 1.30pm until 10pm...still no resolution!

  • rehanrazach Raza (@rehanrazach) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra seems like outage? When I try to ring 132200 it say due to emergency agents are not available. My NBN is down and 4G failover too.

  • MonkeyMagic88 Nathan Fothergill (@MonkeyMagic88) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra @stoobii Outage site down as well. This is not NBN I think it is Telstra, and let's be honest, probably China again

  • nzicecool k6a w12e back in Australia 🇱🇰 🇦🇺🦘 (@nzicecool) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@sarahbr2020 @Telstra DNS issues in all states except QLD and WA. If you know how to change use Google DNS or Cloudflare that should get you going. NBN connection is okay

  • hbowly Hamish Bowly (@hbowly) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@VaperNt @GregHuntMP @Bowenchris NZ broadband makes NBN look like the outdated under performing service it is & cares about their citizens health and well-being Let alone helping their own economy and exports. Need to move. We could have new manufacturing & export with effective regulation #WeVapeWeVote

  • stevepog Steve Pogonowski (@stevepog) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AlboMP It’s almost like the LNP destroyed the NBN’s potential so they blame its dysfunction for every bad decision over the next 20 years. Stuart Robert spent 30k+ a month on internet and still can’t do his job!

  • Tres_Villain Andrew Trevillian (@Tres_Villain) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Looks like the @Telstra issues aren’t over yet. Some sites connecting and others failing on my NBN...

  • BenSorensen1 Ben Sorensen (@BenSorensen1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@BrowntownBrew @DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia And TPG/Voda are using cheaper Nokia tech and being cheeky with placment. 5G is better than broken NBN, but you’re right that we need proper fibre!

  • klatchfo95 K A Latchford (@klatchfo95) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@simonahac @NBN_Australia @Telstra Good luck It took 10 times until they finally came Technicians are fantastic when they arrive but can’t say the same for the organisation and support structures Need to do better Andy Penn

  • owen_minogue Owen Minogue (@owen_minogue) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

.@NBN_Australia are their any outage to the NBN service in the 3070 area of Melbourne? My @BelongAU service is continuously dropping out

  • quietman2010 Quietman (@quietman2010) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra I live inAscot Vale in Victoria . We have arranged numerous appts with Telstra to have our phone line upgraded for the nbn. On every single occasion since April the tech guys never show up. This behaviour is disgraceful !

  • BenSorensen1 Ben Sorensen (@BenSorensen1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DaviesDasher @NBN_Australia I’m saying we spend to fix the issues so it works properly rather than spend on marketing to cover it up. Although returning it with the receipt for a full refund is a good idea. $51 billion for the 43rd fastest internet that already is past its used by date is crazy.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • AlanGLChan Alan Chan (@AlanGLChan) reported

@NBN_Australia couple of my neighbours and I was not able to go on internet, is there an outage around Epping NSW?

  • phenidone William (@phenidone) reported

@NewtonMark @acccgovau The public good is that Telstra stops misleading customers. Even if there is no improvement to the NBN connection available to any particular customer. Note that in the case in TFA, the competition for NBN was provided by the 4G network... possibly Telstra's.

  • LuckyBonez Bonez (@LuckyBonez) reported

My NBN is down 🥲 I hope it's back up in time for the showcase

  • NewtonMark Mark “Bannister-Safe” Newton (@NewtonMark) reported

@phenidone @acccgovau This is not a competition law problem, it's a government policy problem. It is government policy to allow NBNco to lie with impunity about the achievable speeds on their broadband access network. It is Govt policy to pretend that their NBN minimum performance promises were met.

  • JL_Whitaker 🍩🍩CreatetheWorldYouWant🍩🍩 (@JL_Whitaker) reported

@NBN_Australia Not me, but I have friends who have had the same problem as the fellow with the speed in the story today. She just got the run around FOR WEEKS. Too many helpdesk script kiddies. I could tell you heaps.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported

@Telstra Yes. But what product does Telstra order from nbn when a customer orders the Premium Internet Plan? Is it the nbn 100/40 product? I understand there's a disclaimer about achieving up to 17 Mbps. Are you ordering slower 100/20 products from nbn and still calling it Premium?

  • Shade_Nox Anarchy Goose (@Shade_Nox) reported

@ElliotTheBunny I had a similar issue when I had to upgrade to the NBN, my previous provider TPG apparently had my address wrong for years despite it being used for identification and me literally giving the address again for the change over.

  • NewtonMark Mark “Bannister-Safe” Newton (@NewtonMark) reported

@phenidone @acccgovau "The problem would become rapidly worse" is objectively bullshit. It clearly hasn't become rapidly worse for the last ten years since NBNco started offering services; It originates from ISPs believing they're entitled to accept NBN assurances in good faith. Best practice!

  • bigjsl John Lindsay (@bigjsl) reported

@moylecroft Retailers have made Enforceable Undertakings to ACCC to test NBN services after connection and inform customers if their service can't reach the advertised speed. I suspect this stopped at some point. Buck-passing over copper faults/quality appears an issue currently.

  • BenHyperionOQ Ben "Hyperion" Cooper (@BenHyperionOQ) reported

@HooblieWooblie @Aussie_BB The issue here is that NBN now charges the ISP more for the 40mbit upload option.
