  • 7Dea 🍀 (@7Dea) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@VodafoneAU hi, our nbn modem is having a trouble that the blue light in LAN sign is not flashing. All of sudden it happened when we were studying at home in Belconnen, ACT. Pls help.

  • MarkAyres_ mark ayres (@MarkAyres_) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Somebody do something about the NBN, it’s up and down so often my no-ip dns provider is threatening to ask for more money to cover wear and tear. #auspol

  • Maragle2 Sasquatch (@Maragle2) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Thoughtful NBN fibre additions just announced, only the cynical would consider it a deliberate pre-election ploy. Scott n Co would never do such a thing. Tasmania, ACT and NT are not part of this initiative, there words to be said over this which would attract a "disappearance"

  • MartinAnne139 Annie Martin AM (@MartinAnne139) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra what the heck is going on with my parents phone again. 90 year olds need access to this service and it’s not about unpaid bills! Went through all this with you mob and NBN and quite frankly I’m over it.

  • ThylacinusC BlackStar (@ThylacinusC) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

So the technician temporarily fixed our NBN today. He said it was the modem (it wasn't as I used my other modem and it was the same issue). Now the internet is down again. Why are we paying so much for faulty, unreliable internet? #Telstra #nbn

  • MartinAnne139 Annie Martin AM (@MartinAnne139) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra This is not much help as this has been going on for weeks so I suggest you contact the nbn and get this sorted thank you. Such failures around communication when dealing with the elderly some like my parents have no idea about this.

  • MartinAnne139 Annie Martin AM (@MartinAnne139) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Dear @Telstra I would like to say a big thank you to the staff member who rang my 91 yr old Dad and 89 yr old Mum and informed them they would be turning off their service Re them not understanding the NBN. This is unacceptable contact me thanks

  • VK1MIC Wade (@VK1MIC) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

NBN BATTERY PROTIP unless you actually have a wired phone they do not offer anything and you can take the battery out - you just open the box. Grab the terminals and slide them off - and they never beep again! Every place we have been in with NBN has had its battery tossed.

  • BeCarbin Bernadette Carbin (@BeCarbin) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@AusIndiMedia Your NBN couldn’t be that slow could it??

  • Mdm_Fahrenheit Madam M (@Mdm_Fahrenheit) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey @NBN_Australia fix your system issues and stop rejecting orders so I can have the internet at my new house! People are trying to work from home you know.

  • Ian__P Ian (@Ian__P) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@ajamesbragg @AlboMP I'd raise the issue of #NBN advertising which seems wasteful and pointless given they aren't retailing to consumers directly.

  • VernVerass Verner Verass (@VernVerass) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mephistojones Mephisto ~ the NBN is intentionally sub-standard: The original model of fibre to the premises will need to be retro-fitted ~ the NBN requires a rebuild to meet world standard service delivery.

  • hgo7627 HG (@hgo7627) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@JmarrMarr Apparently we now can — by engaging @NBN_Australia to provide fibre to the home. Because of my crap service I got a quote. Sadly, I won’t get my crap service improved — quote was more than $5k.

  • bridgettilley Bridget Tilley (@bridgettilley) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hi @Telstra I just received a robo call telling me my internet will be disconnected today to fix a problem ( I don’t have a problem). I’m an @iiNet customer with @NBN_Australia in Belconnen area Canberra. Could you pls advise ?

  • JoshuaWithers Josh Withers (@JoshuaWithers) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@jendudley @eliotharper In the months before we were allowed to switch, NBN staff told me that we were already on the NBN network, they would change everyone slowly, then once all were converted, you could switch.

  • fenham 💧Dave Lazzari (@fenham) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales

@SwannyQLD @colleenhm They will never admit to making a real *****-up of the #NBN and that they spitefully screwed it because it's never been a #LibNat strength to improve things like national infrastructure. All they see is money being spent with no obvious benefits. They suffer from extreme myopia

  • ianpmcleod Ian McLeod (@ianpmcleod) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Deligracy No, this is closely guarded but what is wisely known is classifying the NBN as a commercially entity, to keep it off the national books (making them look better) means nodes are up to 500m distant. Upgrading to fibre won't fix NBN pricing (congestion) as a result either.

  • Lindday8 Lindsay (@Lindday8) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra NBN speed slow and dropping out in Flynn act is there issue

  • AussieRoz RepublicanRoz #SaveOurABC💧 (@AussieRoz) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@JaneCaro @NBN_Australia Just send a tweet about The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman NBN suddenly played nice. So did my provider. I got my own support person!!

  • skwashd Dave Hall aka Not Funny (@skwashd) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey @andy_penn why won’t you fix phone lines in fire effected areas that will only get satellite NBN? These areas used to have decent ADSL. People can’t sign up for satellite because it’s over subscribed. Looking forward to your field team fixing this.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TrigwellMatt M.D.T (@TrigwellMatt) reported

@Aaronsmith333 And LNP simps on here still blame labor for how **** the NBN became. Imagine if it had been rolled out as intended all those years ago.

  • FletaP3 Fleta P (@FletaP3) reported

@mark16pg NBN , National Energy Guarantee, Port of Darwin, large corporate tax cuts, low wage growth, poor fiscal management, Climate change - emissions trading scheme, eKaren .... where do we stop?

  • Laidback_au Laid Back (@Laidback_au) reported

@craigkellyAFEE @Starlink running a VPN might bypass the Government reach as the stream wont be coming through the NBN network Somebody with further technical expertise may be able to help verify

  • steve0445715103 steve (@steve0445715103) reported

@TheOnlyDSC Well, she's making poor life choices if she's involved with a black man. As far as the black woman assaulting her, NBN.

  • NawafDandachi Dr Nawaf Dandachi (@NawafDandachi) reported

They wouldn't issue me a refund, but they would if I threatened I'll complain to the ombudsman. I guess my monthly NBN service fee is cheaper to them than a fine for violate consumer laws.

  • stuart123456J stuart (@stuart123456J) reported

@ProfMickWilson I hear you. Michael Crichton coined the term Gell-Mann amnesia to describe it. In telco around the creation of the nbn, almost everything in the press was wrong, unfactual and misdiagnosed the problems.

  • qexdval dexq (@qexdval) reported

@rhyzii_ @AbstaAU Will say nbn isn’t bad but we are still so far behind other countries in terms of having top internet for cheaper, I’m paying 115 for 250mbs and 30 upload which we should be getting around 1gb up for that

  • PeterLeversha Peter Leversha (@PeterLeversha) reported

My ISP just put the price of my NBN up. They're blaming wholesale NBN pricing. The under 16 ban isn't going to matter a **** to those who can't afford to use the internet anymore.

  • Kazie151 Kazie (@Kazie151) reported

Do you wanna hear them whinge about the fact I don't have the NBN coz it makes hacking slower for them while also hear them go on & on about how I only deserve poverty & don't deserve more than a ****** 4G network/ADSL2+ equiv. Coz both. It's always both sides. All justification.

  • BrowntownBrew Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported

@MrsS2023 And the only way NBN can become profitable is to get rid of all the copper in the network and onto fibre. Fttp is the only profitable part of the network that is subsidising the other parts as well as the free upgrades.
