    @jakegriffiths @NBN_Australia @SenatorFifield @MRowlandMP @AUSenator Only three weeks ago you say - consistency is pretty bad from @NBN_Australia #NotSurprised #ausvotes

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@peter_c_william @NickRossTech Wonder if he actually engages with the key stakeholders - ie The Australian Public! #nbn So over @NBN_Australia pathetic excuses and covering for the poor decisions of the last 7 years. No wonder many jumped ship when the cards were on the table

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Guarantee #NBN have the latency and packet loss data on its microwave links. They have it @AUSenator . It's basic Network management

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@NBN_Australia @naomi_t_81 Honestly after you add up all the work required to retrofit the last 1000m of old Telstra phone cabling and fixing issues with customer cabling it becomes much more expensive than the original project scope of fibre to 93% without the constant maintenance bill #nbn

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@toadmeister @guardian Sorry Toby, you are being mislead by the Guardian as usual. Netflix states you need 5Mbs for HD quality viewing. Every Australian on the NBN has at least 10Mbs connection. The ALP stated the NBN would cost $40 billion dollars not $15 and it was never going to happen for that.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    @NBN_Australia @UncleAl60932514 Tweak plans = poor Project management = ad-hoc mess. #nbn

  • Steve_Pesic steve_outandabout (@Steve_Pesic) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Everyone giving scomo grief for leadership but the bosses from Telstra and NBN should be high on the list for poor leadership, thousands of people with no phones or internet, hours, days, weeks and months spent by people just trying to use a service in Australia in 2020...

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@BawdenSnoek I don't mind, sometimes I hang on until I get a real person after such calls about Telstra or NBN. Then I call them thieves and liars until they hang up.

  • AlexDunnin alex dunnin (@AlexDunnin) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@DendyCanberra big problems with the movie system tonite. It’s like they’re streaming it thru a dodgy NBN connection and the buffering is on dial-up. So bad they’ve just rebooted the system. Extraordinary.

  • Tikkaspecial Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.

  • TravGee1980 Travis (@TravGee1980) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

.@HankJongen @Telstra uses this technology. I have made 19 calls to them since August 2018 about reconnecting our work landline and cancelling #NBN They have a record of 3. This is not about improving customer service. It's about compliance & surveillance. #Auspol #Satanlink

  • garydlum Gaz 🖖 (@garydlum) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@benny_132 @horrorfan4129 @Telstra Thanks. I've been waiting on hold. I will hang up and get on with my day. I feel sorry for people relying on #nbn for their livelihood when these things happen.

  • Ctl_Alt_Del CtlAltDel (@Ctl_Alt_Del) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    Crap NBN #PromiseOfAustralia

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Quote from @NBN_Australia" One of the challenges nbn has identified are premises that are located too far away from existing nbn™ network assets- Fibre to the Node Cabinet (typically where copper lines exceed 1.3km)" Talk about a no #nbn shit statement

  • trib Stephen Collins (@trib) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@paulestorey @NBN_Australia I'll be on FTTC, so I'm hopeful. Congestion shouldn't be an issue.

  • TheGrumpyGamer1 The Grumpy Gamer (@TheGrumpyGamer1) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

I cannot wait till our NBN connection goes live!!! Hopefully only a few more weeks of this crap. And if anyone wants to share this with The Signal Co, go nuts, cause apparently I’m a rude and difficult to deal with, so they’ve blocked me on Twitter!

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@peter_c_william @RichardTuffin @NBN_Australia Project Management failure at all levels. Including piss poor contractor management. You could have the best tools available (aka Engineers) and still use them incorrectly...#nbn

  • Mirandaprorsus Allan Behm (@Mirandaprorsus) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Have endured weeks of very slow NBN speed, < 6 Mbps. The techo came, opened the Telstra pit to find 60 yr old copper encased in lead, and broken wires. So much for Tinkering Turnbull’s fibre to the node.

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@theoztrucker The subs don't make a lot of sense and the NBN was always a disaster, a Rolls Royce limo instead of a bus service. The Snowy I don't know, seems to make sense. The fighter aircraft are necessary but not themselves. They are for reasons no one wants to voice.

  • Elias_Hallaj 💧 Elias Hallaj (@Elias_Hallaj) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Australia is drowning, rather than surfing, thanks to ScoMo’s LNP. “... after spending $51 billion on a second-rate obsolete network the Coalition government’s plan for the NBN has been a total failure”. #AusPol

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • trixtah Trix (@trixtah) reported

I don't know/care who owns #internode/#tpg or whoever, but it shouldn't take 15 mins to cancel my NBN plan. Ntm having to talk to two call centre thralls to get the stinking US-style cust retention spiel. So sorry we "couldn't come to an agreement" about my MOVING COUNTRIES.

  • bwrigley BDubAus (@bwrigley) reported

Seriously @Telstra the NBN service failed again today. That’s six days out of the last 30 where it’s been down either all or part of the day. My whole neighbourhood too. That’s shockingly bad. And you tech support is useless. Totally unhelpful. #NBN #Teldtra

  • counterproduct Aaron Counter (@counterproduct) reported

@NBN_Australia I had previously informed you that your crappy service was unexpectedly working at that time. Your sassy tweet is hilarious and further demonstrates @NBN_Australia’s lack of care for their ultimate customers. Why don’t you have a way to communicate other than rude tweets?

  • Lucky_Phil Lucky Phil (@Lucky_Phil) reported

@SandyHorne61 Where I live 4G reception is poor, I even have to switch my mobile phone to 3G only to get a decent signal. My internet is HFC NBN and I am sticking with that.

  • DrVania2 V (@DrVania2) reported

Hey @MySkyMesh internet not working again! Love paying $150/month for 85 gb that I can’t access @NBN_Australia

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@tanne1122 Hey Tally. Sorry to hear that you have not gotten the support you need to get your NBN back online. I have just sent a response to your DM. Let's keep the conversation there to avoid any double handling. - Mitch

  • kerrymaree4034 Kerry 🤷🏼 Somebody Told Me (@kerrymaree4034) reported

@Suefranny @erfbeeass Ever since the data breach they have been soooo slow. I know it’s not NBN because everything else is mucho rapido

  • iMephisto Tony Nicholas (@iMephisto) reported

@QandA @canberratimes The NBN was a nation building project why did the LNP screw it up? Why white ant Medicare? Robodebt? Social support? CLimate change?

  • loudshirts Wolly (@loudshirts) reported

@JennyVVVVVV @SandyHorne61 If you signed a contract for a time period you are probs stuck. If not just cancel. TPG 100 speed $64.95 atm I saw. Depends on NBN connection tho. I’ve been with them in 2 states for 15 yrs with different tech. No issues. I’ve got 250 speed for $84.95 FTTP but was lucky.

  • Melb_troglodyte SeaBass G (@Melb_troglodyte) reported

@SandyHorne61 Contemplating the exact same right now, with iiNet which is my NBN provider also. From my layman’s research: it makes perfect sense, but network congestion/poor reception in your particular location may make it unusable or unreliable. I may give it a try tbh
