Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Queanbeyan and nearby locations:

  • skwashd Dave Hall aka Not Funny (@skwashd) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@gusworldau @NBN_Australia It’s frustrating when you know more about the problem than the person copying and pasting boilerplate yet you’re powerless to fix it.

  • garth_morrison Garth Morrison (@garth_morrison) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia Response from NBN - ‘Go to your service provider’ 🙄 They’ve been on it for months guys. You’re the hold up.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@peter_c_william @RichardTuffin @NBN_Australia Project Management failure at all levels. Including piss poor contractor management. You could have the best tools available (aka Engineers) and still use them incorrectly...#nbn

  • Steve_Pesic steve_outandabout (@Steve_Pesic) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Everyone giving scomo grief for leadership but the bosses from Telstra and NBN should be high on the list for poor leadership, thousands of people with no phones or internet, hours, days, weeks and months spent by people just trying to use a service in Australia in 2020...

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@toadmeister @guardian Sorry Toby, you are being mislead by the Guardian as usual. Netflix states you need 5Mbs for HD quality viewing. Every Australian on the NBN has at least 10Mbs connection. The ALP stated the NBN would cost $40 billion dollars not $15 and it was never going to happen for that.

  • Lindday8 Lindsay (@Lindday8) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Telstra NBN speed slow and dropping out in Flynn act is there issue

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@BawdenSnoek I don't mind, sometimes I hang on until I get a real person after such calls about Telstra or NBN. Then I call them thieves and liars until they hang up.

  • skwashd Dave Hall aka Not Funny (@skwashd) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Hey @andy_penn why won’t you fix phone lines in fire effected areas that will only get satellite NBN? These areas used to have decent ADSL. People can’t sign up for satellite because it’s over subscribed. Looking forward to your field team fixing this.

  • sargentsarto Adam (@sargentsarto) reported from Queanbeyan, State of New South Wales

@mrbargearse @PuntHubAus The issue is the poor level that the NBN brings in country areas.. it is simply ordinary. Pay for 100% get less than 1% in peak periods. This is the issue for the streaming argument. The infrastructure is woeful.

  • Elias_Hallaj 💧 Elias Hallaj (@Elias_Hallaj) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Australia is drowning, rather than surfing, thanks to ScoMo’s LNP. “... after spending $51 billion on a second-rate obsolete network the Coalition government’s plan for the NBN has been a total failure”. #AusPol

  • cherellemurpfry Cherelle Murphy (@cherellemurpfry) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

NBN capacity lifted to help those who can work from home to do so.

  • trib Stephen Collins (@trib) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@paulestorey @NBN_Australia I'll be on FTTC, so I'm hopeful. Congestion shouldn't be an issue.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@peter_c_william @NickRossTech Wonder if he actually engages with the key stakeholders - ie The Australian Public! #nbn So over @NBN_Australia pathetic excuses and covering for the poor decisions of the last 7 years. No wonder many jumped ship when the cards were on the table

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Quote from @NBN_Australia" One of the challenges nbn has identified are premises that are located too far away from existing nbn™ network assets- Fibre to the Node Cabinet (typically where copper lines exceed 1.3km)" Talk about a no #nbn shit statement

  • Tikkaspecial Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.

  • Technorants Technorants (@Technorants) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

    @NBN_Australia @UncleAl60932514 Tweak plans = poor Project management = ad-hoc mess. #nbn

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@theoztrucker The subs don't make a lot of sense and the NBN was always a disaster, a Rolls Royce limo instead of a bus service. The Snowy I don't know, seems to make sense. The fighter aircraft are necessary but not themselves. They are for reasons no one wants to voice.

  • ClarkGreenaway Clark Greenaway🇦🇺 (@ClarkGreenaway) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@Angela60650391 @juliemonry @ABCaustralia With NBN there isn't even that need anymore. I have been receiving gov updates via my mobile phone provider not the ABC at all. All commercial broadcasters ate required to provide community service announcements. Their is no longer a need for the ABC.

  • garydlum Gaz 🖖 (@garydlum) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@benny_132 @horrorfan4129 @Telstra Thanks. I've been waiting on hold. I will hang up and get on with my day. I feel sorry for people relying on #nbn for their livelihood when these things happen.

  • AussieRoz RepublicanRoz #SaveOurABC💧 (@AussieRoz) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@JaneCaro @NBN_Australia Just send a tweet about The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman NBN suddenly played nice. So did my provider. I got my own support person!!

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • GeorgeousTake George Andrews (@GeorgeousTake) reported

@KelliebTwits @AmyRemeikis Third this. I installed Launtel at my elderly father's property and they have been excellent in every way. The NBN limits the options that are available to you by region, but a retailer that knows their stuff, can cut through the garbage & red tape that the NBN imposes.

  • BoyfromTok Peter Schrieber (@BoyfromTok) reported

@AmyRemeikis Telephone exchange is Telstra. You need an NBN connection with a good ISP. Preferably one with an Australian help line.

  • kevineaton_1 Kevin (@kevineaton_1) reported

@AmyRemeikis Unfortunately you are under the 1.2km max distance, we were 1.5km away they did some work and made things a little better, but our NBN is still slow.

  • kfm52 KEVIN THE COMMONER (@kfm52) reported

@AmyRemeikis Only confirms what a crap product this govt made of NBN. Fibre to the premises is the only sensible option. Even then the NBN won’t let you do that. It’s a total basket case.

  • codemon70572100 codemonkey (@codemon70572100) reported

@AmyRemeikis @NBN_Australia Hi nbn, can someone help Amy with her connection?

  • kweenofcrazy Queen V (@kweenofcrazy) reported

@AmyRemeikis We were as well until someone competent finally came and fixed it after months and an ombudsman complaint. I believe there’s minimum distance and speeds to meet NBN standards.

  • platypusadmirer 🕯 Hadda Gutfull Proud to be Woke (@platypusadmirer) reported

@RichForrest2 @Internode Very limited providers because this is the skymuster nbn connection, which I already know is ****. If only Labor had been able to provide decent internet to everyone...

  • dtrad David Trad (@dtrad) reported

@NototyrannyNOW For now until each sector cell is saturated and speeds get to a horrible crawl, wireless is not infinite and is a finite resource sadly... 5G is not a unicorn, nothing can beat FTTP, the NBN just sucks big time

  • Camelli79450301 Camellia (@Camelli79450301) reported

@AmyRemeikis I live in regional Victoria. We have a Telstra tower but it has been conjested for 2 years. We ended up getting the landline reinstalled and going over to Skymuster. NBN couldn't help us and Telstra wouldn't help us.

  • LJPatton Laurie Patton is The Lucky General (@LJPatton) reported

@Steve_Dalby @joshgnosis To be fair, @PaulFletcherMP inherited a basket case #NBN from his predecessors. At least he has conceded that the copper network is a joke and allocated (not enough) money to begin the repair work.
