@StevensAsh @DavidSo24895212 Yes Labor did say $41b to build their gold plated NBN. Of course they never built it so we don't know how much it really would have cost. The LNP version was cheaper yet has cost a lot more. I'm certain if Labor had built their version it would have been over $100B.

@DonWestley1 @TheCalebBond @theMickMorris @SkyNewsAust @Foxtel Yep, you will probably find I have tweeted that video a few times already ;) It must be tricky to do a story for SkyNews on the #NBN without loosing you job by blaming the Libs - words were carefully chosen to make the entire NBN concept look bad...it's not, obviously.

@NerdyNigel @AfraidOfWidths @SenatorFifield @SteveAustinABC @AUSenator @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia Maybe he is one of the 5% with a dodgy modem 😂🤣 - suspect the Modem firmware is the least of @NBN_Australia problems, but I bet they spent a shitload of resources to come to the same conclusion we have had for the last 7 years.. that MTM will burn money in maintaince. #nbn

@delpjm @sando88 @Snow_Crash @WirelessDuck @NickRossTech @NickITGuy @Kynes3 @boyter @playswithf1re @BrowntownBrew And the lower density and further reach requirements for Australia is the REASON to use last mile deep fibre networks. If I had a dollar everytime I had to defend that stupid excuse ...#nbn

@czuio @NBN_Australia @Deborah_ONeill I could see no reason why it couldn't for exactly the point you make. You could also simplify it and include a UNI-V like port for a voice service (VoDSL) and a simple diagnostic page to indicate line sync etc. @NBN_Australia need to consolidate the end point to simplify it

HFC is a black hole - you can't model a national communications network off what a commerical entity has done overseas #nbn There objective is to keep it above water.

@NBN_Australia I rely on the internet for my design business The lack of reliable service puts my income and ability to service customers at risk I'd appreciate a plan to fix the issue. One obvious step is to relocate to a closer pit

How can #NBN claim its own last mile design doco for Fttx is CiC (CommercialInConfidence).Half of it has been leaked already & who else is going to build out a national network in Australia 🤔 Playing hard ball with FOI constantly, need a big stick. @NBN_Australia @OAICgov

@MConallin I use mobile bb lte. That speeds are fast butt but no consistent. I average around the 20-30gbs Some times up to 170mbs down. I don't have nbn or adsl, so I'm not complaining

@sulrich70 @NBN_Australia @Deborah_ONeill If @NBN_Australia took a more risk managed approach with MTM design they should have gone with a connection agnostic endpoint. It would solve so many of this issues with renters and those that move around. Once again KISS was ignored #nbn

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews Have endured weeks of very slow NBN speed, < 6 Mbps. The techo came, opened the Telstra pit to find 60 yr old copper encased in lead, and broken wires. So much for Tinkering Turnbull’s fibre to the node.

@NBN_Australia definitely. unfortunately the fault with mine is i am connected 1.3km away and the max i can get is 27mb down. if nbn would connect me to the micro node 50 mtrs across the rd which nbn refuses to do i could get much higher speeds and i would not be here bitching at u.

Well I'm angry. AussieB diagosed a fault on my line (y'know good OLD copper) &arranged for NBN to come this afternoon. A man arrived, took one look at my friendly dog thro the gate and ran. I've rung AussieB but they can't do much. How did we get such 3rd rate service broadband?

@Heywood72656806 @TheAusInstitute @GrogsGamut Yep, technology changed that and if we kept the #PMG we would have got Fibre #NBN decades ago instead of the second rate garbage we recently got.

Moving my nbn to the new address is becoming a huge headache 😓 good news is, Vodafone flagged my account when I tried to change it in store but forgot my ID. Bad news is the owners of our old place set up their nbn before we had a chance to deal with ours, causing MORE problems.

@markhumphries Get 5G internet. You can take it with you and say good bye to the NBN. Oh, I almost forgot. Residential real estate returns are so poor, the few remaining landlords are desperate to squeeze a dollar out of tenants. After land tax, interest rates, Council rates, nothing’s left.

@gk647 @Watsonstroops1 @EthNick_ NBN created a bunch of new plans with lower uploads and priced cheaper so the ISPs migrated most people across or increased the prices of original plans. The result of low revenue and high maintenance costs of the copper in the network
