@NBN_Australia @awssecuritysyd @awscloud @AWSstartups @thelivecoders My other problem is I have NBN to the node but copper up to the apartment (1st floor). I don't really want to pay the $350 for @Telstra just to provide a quote. Just tell me how much for free and I'll most likely just pay you to upgrade me! 🤣

Second extended NBN outage in week, well done @NBN_Australia

  • optus_help Optus Help (@optus_help) reported

@bsirohi1 Hi there, thank you for reaching out about this. I want to reassure you that the default WiFi password assigned to new NBN connections is automatically generated by the modem manufacturer. These passwords are created using random combinations of letters and numbers. They are not manually selected, do not carry intended meanings, and are not linked to your address, identity, or household in any way. I understand how seeing a word that appears to have a specific meaning could be concerning. However, in this case it is simply part of a randomly generated string and was not intentionally chosen. If you would prefer to change your WiFi name and password, you can absolutely do so. Here are the steps: How to change your WiFi password: 1. Connect a device to your WiFi or plug a computer directly into the modem. 2. Open a web browser and type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. 3. Log in using the modem’s admin username and password (these are printed on the sticker on the bottom or back of the modem). 4. Go to WiFi or Wireless Settings. 5. Select your 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz network. 6. Enter your new preferred WiFi password. 7. Save or Apply changes. 8. Reconnect your devices using the new password. If you need any assistance with those steps, please send us a DM. -Talia

@NBN_Australia @Telstra Latest update, from NBNCo, via SMS message, is 3:00am tomorrow morning. The Australian government wants more people working from home, but they can't ensure that the critical services necessary to allow it are reliable. Prediction: Government will soon legislate that employers must provide NBN Leave - leave from work caused by an NBN outage. (Note: I don't think the government should have anything to do with providing Internet services, and I don't think it should have anything to do with where people work.)

  • mucki777 Mucki (@mucki777) reported

@GreenTyler27 @payneerynn Newcastle used to feel like a big Aussie town, even the NBN guys were Aussie. Now it's full of high rise apartments & traffic like a mini-Sydney. The Indian NBN guys turned up last month & were creepy, rude & stole a drill battery.

  • Hedge_Reborn Hedge™️ (@Hedge_Reborn) reported

@Starlink But it costs more and has worse service than the NBN - lol - GTFOH

@HonTonyAbbott Remember when you mistook Labors' $18 billion for BER that created $40billion in legacy assets as a bad deal & Debt/Deficit disaster; Or when you mistook the Larcenist/ Charity **** Jackson as a Lion of honesty/ Paragon of virtue; or when you nobbled NBN & wrecked it?
