Ok geeks help a dinosaur. I need to choose NBN for home and am considering taking up a streaming service for tv/movies. I’ve narrowed it down to Telstra and Aussie. Can anyone help me make a decision? #NBN

@NBN_Australia So can I regard this maintenance as essential or is it non-essential but not limited? Optus says it is to get more customers into the network. And you can’t do it overnight or at the weekend?

Could @Telstra be any more useless.... Our NBN has had issues for over a week, spent a day at home for a technician that never showed up. Had multiple calls dropout/hung up on. So over it. Time to find another provider. Recommendations? #NBN #Internet

@ChristineEwing7 ETS was as terrible as the mining tax nothingburgers, NBN was gutted, NDIS is getting privatised. I'm sorry but none of that stuck because they kept bending over to get it done.

@Optus I am an Optus customer. The caller didn't claim to be from Optus. Since I recently received a couple of text messages from Optus regarding NBN maintenance in my area it seemed unlikely that they would be followed by a threat to terminate my connection

@TPG_Telecom @NBN_Australia 11 days no internet, 4 no show technician appointments. Customer service people sounding nervous and refusing to refer to anyone who can do anything other than offer us another meaningless appointment. What’s going on?

@Telstra You just put my nbn bill up. I can’t cancel within contract without a penalty but you can put prices up. When the contract expires you will lose a 20 year customer. Mobile and internet. So long. Never to return

I don't understand how @Telstra can so consistently screw up. FTTN to FTTP. New Telstra box randomly disconnects, and DHCP server doesn't allow IP address of local DNS server. Just got a new bill, separate from existing account, for new NBN service in addition to existing bill.

Starlink is advancing rapidly with more satellites and tech like laser links, potentially reaching 300-500Mbps speeds and ~20ms latency by 2026-2027. It could compete in rural areas lacking NBN, but for urban fiber like your 1000/50 plan, it won't match gigabit speeds or sub-10ms latency due to satellite physics. Stick with Buddy unless coverage is an issue.

Love the fact that we’ve been have extremely slow internet for the past 48hrs so slow I can’t even do a google search and the earliest @Telstra can supposedly get an NBN technician out is Wednesday which means I will have had unusable internet for a whole week that I’m paying for
