@Telstra NBN outage. It’s been like that since 9pm last night

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mik_rosser @verbaliza That sort of makes no sense because it’s generally the gaining provider who would be at fault. So if you want to connect with Telco B for NBN it’s on Telco B. If Telco A (Optus) keep billing you that is different issue not necessarily connected to a new connection.

  • EVNadelaide EVNadelaide ⚡🍐 (@EVNadelaide) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

First half its fine but the longer the game goes on the laggier, blurrier & glitchier it becomes. I'm on nbn, the misses is on netflix but I never had this issue w/ foxtel.Smells like Kayo is a foxtel subsidiary that has lower quality product hoping 2 push ppl 2 overpriced foxtel

  • judgejosie jo girl (@judgejosie) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@lynlinking @judyvw2 @canberratimes Ohhhh ****. It's gonna be Fukashima on steroids given the Japanese are renowned for their quality technology and attention to detail... We've a bunch of yobbos who can't roll out a shitty embarrassment of a NBN and they wanna play with Nukes. **** the world has gone sahhh mad.

  • skwashd Dave Hall (@skwashd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Thanks for more boilerplate. My RSP have told me you will look at it tomorrow and the SLA you provide them is 2 business days. Stop sending me boilerplate and fix the problem. This is the second round of botched maintenance in 8 weeks.

  • themediapod Ross Monaghan (@themediapod) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I was getting faster speeds on the Optus cable network 15 years ago. NBN means slower and more expensive service in my area.

  • EmJaeCaer Michael Carmody (@EmJaeCaer) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@MoeycQ @NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB I think I saw on your tweet you were on HFC version of NBN. You want to vent your anger @TurnbullMalcolm who decided this was a good idea for a modern broadband system. NBN and ABB are just trying to make shit work.

  • FoodWorksAus Rob Rees MBE DL (Australia, New Zealand and UK) (@FoodWorksAus) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia how about you find a way to communicate instantly about outage. Still no NBN in 3103. Any news or update. #Disgrace

  • julianprice_ Julian Price (@julianprice_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus, help! My nbn isn’t working. I’ve tried the old “off and on again” trick and I can’t see any outages in my area. Can’t get through to technical support “too busy”.

  • LapTop006 Julien Goodwin (@LapTop006) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Well that sucked, after replacing all the cable all the way to the splitter the tester showed great signal, but NBN didn't like it.

  • judgejosie jo girl (@judgejosie) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@daveyk317 @smh The budget is NOT IN SURPLUS. Jebus @ScottMorrisonMP, get a ****** policy. This criticism and fear mongering is idiotic even for someone stupid enough to vote for The COALition. And given how you can't roll out an NBN without ******* it up, stay away from nukes. Hear me *******

  • BelievaBill Bill Birch (@BelievaBill) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@siangard @SenatorDoug @fionaparker1 The NBN was the perfect vehicle to support decentralization....

  • TonyB_Melb TonyB (@TonyB_Melb) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Kynes3 Yep...ran it lots of times, always the same. Just now it's showing: NBN 11.32/0.92 ADSL 8.65/0.86 It sucks.

  • lukasm Luke Meehan (@lukasm) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@NBN_Australia Hi Matt, sorry to hear you have to defend this joke of a service, hoping you have something better to defend soon. thanks, Lukas

  • Y2Krashman Chris Link-Pierce (@Y2Krashman) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@TheFatSplatCat @melanchomical @1966_lee @SusannahBirch That sucks. We’re still waiting for NBN, which is supposed to be happening next week. Doubt it!

  • willdonovan willdonovan (@willdonovan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

We have to FIX the NBN - then people can study wherever they want. #ciglobal @VCdeakin

  • JayBallzup Jay Ball (@JayBallzup) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

This Google Stadia thing looks cool. Probably won’t be great in Australia until 5G is here. That said, they recon they only need min 15mb down; max 40ms latency and max 5% packet loss. Many NBN connections smash that. But if it’s widely adopted, congestion will cause issues.

  • JoshBBornstein Josh Bornstein (@JoshBBornstein) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

yet another round of tax cuts isn’t going to help people on Newstart or the low wage crisis or the climate change crisis or a properly funded ABC or fixing the NBN

  • EVNadelaide EVNadelaide ⚡🍐 (@EVNadelaide) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Extremely disappointed in @kayosports. Even on NBN service it's laggy and the picture is blurred. It's like watching Max Headroom ffs

  • neil_killick Neil Killick (@neil_killick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@vvmann @NBN_Australia @exetel And no one is accountable. It's actually incredible how bad it is.

NBN Issues Reports

  • waggacrow waggacrow (@waggacrow) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Yes, agreed. We get roads and rail for life off line but the NBN is so bad that it’s hardly livable online. What are you doing for the regional areas here. FTTN is not acceptable, @PaulFletcherMP

  • o0ragman0o Darryl 🌪️Viva la Entropy🌪️ Morris (@o0ragman0o) reported

When I was growing up, there was always a live phone for line for emergencies Now it's hard to go 2 weeks without @Optus, @Ergon, @NBN_Australia going down for indefinite periods leaving a complete and dangerous power and comms blackouts across the region #MillaaMillaa outages

  • DesignedToFade Social Kristancing (@DesignedToFade) reported

Hi @NBN_Australia your tech visited our area’s outage on Friday at some point. The repair clearly didn’t work and it took another 24hrs for you to even send another tech to try again. (FYI still no service). Is it normal for you to take this long to address an essential service?

  • adam_turner Adam Turner (@adam_turner) reported

Doing some yard work alongside the guy replacing my side fence, turns out he used to be a network engineer so we talked shop for a while. Was fun, but gotta get back to the grindstone - there's still a supply chain yarn and an NBN horror story on my to-do list today

  • DustyCynic DustyCynic (@DustyCynic) reported

@TelstraEnt I’ve been waiting FIVE MONTHS for Telstra to connect my NBN! FOUR engineers booked to fix... ALL no shows! Telstra even breached the first deadline imposed on them by the Ombudsman!!!!

  • DustyCynic DustyCynic (@DustyCynic) reported

@TelstraEnt Five months on, multiple phone calls, five engineers visit scheduled when the Telstra engineer failed to show .... still no connection to the NBN. Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Avoid at any cost !

@mjgal I want to go with T as they have our NBN but C wants to go with O bc they have a special deal with Optuspay for new handsets. Both telcos' service is woeful and Work Spouse swears by V. Which way do we go?!

  • LuminaryOfAges Eleven The Luminary! (@LuminaryOfAges) reported

@lukeyp95 I mean true I’m sorry for overreacting I’m glad that I got nbn which is what Australia is doing to get good internet so it’s not bad anymore and well I’m usually playing against other aussies I should be fine sorry for overreacting.

  • TBH04758364 RickyG (@TBH04758364) reported

@PazzaDons2012 @tatduckum @OMGTheMess FTTH would have cost even more. NBN was an ALP promise with costings that weren't even in the ballpark of the true cost. Left to the LNP to try and fix along with NDIS, Gonski, etc.

  • cwgardiner Craig Gardiner (@cwgardiner) reported

@Telstra Can I upgrade my internet speed to 100mpbs with NBN HFC? I am being told @telstra don’t support this anymore 🤦
