I must have missed other reasons Turnbull was terrible, but my one thing with him was wasting time and money on the NBN, we're still paying for full fibre rollout house-by-house, made sense to just do the lot once, less driving per-house.

Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedI found out what the problem was, the entire building is down. NBN backbone issue, so it's not the ISP. Found a guy in the building that runs a mobile repeater business for buildings like this and he has official contacts with Telstra who say it's going to be down for the whole long weekend. Everyone in the building is struggling with phone access. He's going to put a proposal into strata (handily, that's me!) to install mobile repeaters in the building and also the basement carpark. I said I'll approve it.

Grinds My Gears (@alreadyfurious) reported@Someozbloke @deniseshrivell That's good in your circumstance. But it has been reported by others. I was more addressing why NBN is not a waste. The reason you still hear about it these days having issues is because of LNP screwing it up with a mixed technology approach. FTTP does not have these drawbacks.

If there’s a monopoly service it’s a ripoff in the hands of private business. You must know that. NBN is a national infrastructure requirement for a civil and successful nation.

The LNP completely screwed AUS all the while paying their mates millions to manage it. #industrialisedcorruption
