  • roseannebyrne 💧🌱pragmaticleftie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪💔 (@roseannebyrne) reported from Kiama, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse @Telstra @Optus Oh He's. It does seem older folk were totally neglected in all of this. No NBN no phone. Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.

  • StephenJonesMP Stephen Jones MP (@StephenJonesMP) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@choppers91 @RobOakeshott1 Hey Michael sorry for delay. Have asked my office to follow up on Monday. Rob, you’ve always been solid on NBN but simply not true that we are saying job done. We will inherit a mess. Don’t know the scale of it & won’t make reckless promise about time & cost to fix it.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@DrRimmer @guytaur @smh It’s disappointing the Libs stuffed the NBN up in the first place. It’s a complete and utter mess now. Will be difficult to fix now.

  • MischNarracott Michelle Butterfield (@MischNarracott) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@Telstra I’m a patient person. However when my very elderly parents in Kiama are left without a land line for over 20 days & I discover that someone in @telstra or @nbn didn’t create a ‘Task ID’ for the third time in 3 weeks I reach a state of total frustration. Pls help.

  • Bente_Andersen1 Bente 🇦🇺🇳🇴🇩🇰 (@Bente_Andersen1) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Scott Morrison is trying to do what Turnball did with the NBN. Destroy the future and the environment by lying about the ESF. It has done nothing, it will never do anything except line their business cronies pockets.

  • AlexBrangwin Alexandria Brangwin (@AlexBrangwin) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@DoctorKarl Can't believe this was an election issue and everyone chose so poorly. @TurnbullMalcolm, @TonyAbbottMHR & @JoeHockey screwed Australian internet over for generations. #NBN #Fail

  • StephenJonesMP Stephen Jones MP (@StephenJonesMP) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@Gardevoir101 @AustralianLabor @MRowlandMP We’ve already announced our NBN Customer Service Guarantee. More to come.

  • cambuslangtrain John Roach (@cambuslangtrain) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Faithful to Telstra for 40 years despite our blind loyalty not being reciprocated in quality of service or pricing. Switched to Optus at NBN connection time some years back. Could not be happier with Optus!! Stuff Telstra "and all who ro(r)t in her!!"

  • Jacqui_Wales Jacqueline Wales (@Jacqui_Wales) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

Three minutes to go in the #NRLDragonsManly game and @FOXNRL on @Foxtel Play is dropping out. A shitty feed, or is it the shitty @NBN_Australia. We may never know.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@TonyAbbottMHR We could say the same thing about you and your previous government when it comes to the shit NBN you built. What a disaster.

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Ria_Hopkins Ria Hopkins (@Ria_Hopkins) reported

Just had my FIFTH NBN tech visit since August. Despite two days of civic works last week, he's now identified a NEW hardware problem. He has no solution, and I now need to wait to be contacted, again, to arrange a time for someone to come sort this out. Ridiculous.

  • geoff_harrower Geoff Harrower (@geoff_harrower) reported

@jontyvincent @TurnbullMalcolm Go back and find the facts about what trouble NBN was in at the end of Stephen Conroy's and Kevin Rudd's reign.... Turnbull inherited a disaster of 500% NBN budget blowout installing Fibre to the Premises.

  • Ria_Hopkins Ria Hopkins (@Ria_Hopkins) reported

@NBN_Australia Well, what a saga. Just had my fifth tech visit. They've now done civic works to lay cable 60m from my house to the tap. Today the tech who came to connect me says there are no free ports at the tap. So now I'm waiting to be contacted (in 2021 I suspect) with a solution.

  • CGrandma55 CrankyGrandma55 (@CGrandma55) reported

@Raymartin55 @sallymcmanus except those who cant use it on their phone. Like me and my mother. Or places in Internet Dead Zones (can name 3 taverns here that have **** NBN and Mobile Tower reception You need Internet on your phone.... people on jobstart cant afford it.

  • egirrrlie 𝖊𝖌𝖎𝖗𝖗𝖗𝖑𝖎𝖊💧 (@egirrrlie) reported

Some have suggested it is related to the change from FTTP to FTTC at rollout... Which raises an interesting question: is it possible the design & configuration of @NBN_Australia boxes was based on full fttp rollout and DIDN'T CHANGE when the Libs cheaped it down? #auspol

  • mickdundee48 💦Laird Mick W Beattie (@mickdundee48) reported

@Optus (2) I still have NBN FTP with you and 2 mobile phone packages. I used to get a new phone every 2 years, no longer available. Am still paying same amount but without a new phone. Optus shop staff are rude at my local shop. Customer Service puts you on hold for at least an hour.

  • RustyCid RustyCid (@RustyCid) reported

@Cayinator @NBN_Australia Hopeless...maybe i should just fix someone's car then tell them, here you go, you can do the rest when it's all in pieces. Looks like the new norm now...

  • the_outraged Beowulf (@the_outraged) reported

Is this just me? NBN sign up... @tpg sent the modem to the wrong address & then tried to activate the account 2 weeks before agreed - so cancelled @Optus assured us the modem would arrive Tuesday (as we're moving) - looks like 23rd now. So will cancel this too. @Telstra next??

  • MikeCullen73 M.R. Cullen (@MikeCullen73) reported

Alright, why is my internet not working? Both NBN & IINET don't show any outages.
