Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.

I thought you are an essential service?! Also, the technician needs to check out the lines and wiring, etc. and they have no contact with a person. why can’t they work?

He tried to help but finally concluded that the most speed I can get here is 17mbps! because we are 1 km away from the node. I need to find an altenrantive for NBN. It degrades pretty significantly in bad weather. It would also be terrible with a cities worth of people connected..... network congestion is a problem for satelite solutions (similar to the mobile network). Getting rid of the nbn network would be a monumentally bad idea.

My olds were hooked up 10yrs ago and while they used the existing Telstra conduit to the house, the inside install was terrible - left a big hole in the wall behind the NTU, which let spiders into the house until I found it years later and patched it up.
