@lachiemc64 I’m told we’ve no choice now FRAUDBAND is in our area. So much for lnp’s free market bullshit. Only when it suits their greedy parasitic mates. ADSL, though slow, never drops out although I note Telstra will still charge like the “Light Brigade” to fix the loose copper to my home

@SpotlightForYou @Telstra Hi Emma, hope I can help - what does contract say? I missed a due date 12 years ago on a bill and they tried to chg me $850 exit fee and I screamed and shouted until they waived it. I worry about folks who can't stand up to them. Good Luck !

@RonniSalt @MeredithGow1 @Telstra This is exactly where we are at with them too. My unflappable husband just about blew his stack going round and round in circles. I have no idea how they manage to stay in business with such appalling service. We’ve decided to ditch them and hope the new provider can fix it.

Yesterday, ALMOST there but SIM wouldn’t activate online. Another hour of my life wasted calling, only to be left on hold while I tested/fixed it myself. 🤬

@RonniSalt @Telstra I tried to cancel the hideously expensive landline for my 88yo mother-in-law with severe dementia, when she moved home. Despite us sending thru Power or Attorney, they still insisted they wanted to speak to MIL directly. She was totally confused and quite upset. **** U Telstra!

@RonniSalt @Telstra They connected me up to a package I never asked for after I changed providers and then tried to charge me for it. I complained straight to their CEO and the telecommunications ombudsman. Don’t bother with their customer disservice, go straight to the top.

@MeredithGow1 @Telstra Thank you Meredith. Looks like that's where we're going. Two months of pleading & requesting a technician to fix the internet that has never worked. Nobody bothers to call back. Nobody turns up. It's like sticking your head down a toilet & screaming into an empty septic tank.
