  @lachiemc64 I’m told we’ve no choice now FRAUDBAND is in our area. So much for lnp’s free market bullshit. Only when it suits their greedy parasitic mates. ADSL, though slow, never drops out although I note Telstra will still charge like the “Light Brigade” to fix the loose copper to my home

  The power was out recently, just came back on. Telstra sent a text asking how the power outage was affecting my internet? Im not sure what type of special order electricity they use, but l use the run of the mill electricity. No electricity, no modem!!!!!! 🤡🌏

  @Kate3015 It’d really not that hard to spot but to the untrained eye they always look legitimate. My husband a case in point. He doesn’t click on the link but always asks me how to deal with it. Every time I,show- block the email via,the contact card, delete, simple. Government departments never send you anything, just a notification to go to My Gov. Telstra has the email in the App. If it’s not there it’s not real. There are couple I can think of.

  @the_LoungeFly @Telstra You have to go through the ombudsman to get an Australian staff member, someone with access to your records apparently or can fix anything. The call centers are just to keep you preoccupied long enough that you get sick of it and go away.

  @Starlink Update: customer care sent me the kit via express post and gave $25 credit. Installation went ahead smoothly as per schedule and very happy so far. No more crap NBN that Telstra put up their prices to $115 per month for 50mbps but my Starlink gives me 100mbps for $75 per month

  @Kitorialt Then when you cancel, get all early termination fees wiped. This is something covered under by @acccgovau and the TIO. This coming from an ex Telstra employee.

  Just been asked to complete an oxymoron. A Telstra customer satisfaction survey. Reminded me of a 1980s Telecom survey that found customers hated them, leads to a management recommendation to educate customers…(who they called “subscribers”)
