Shaun Ewing (@swewing) reported from Glenbrook, New South WalesWith @Telstra being down there’s no EFTPOS at my local shops. Couldn’t get cash from any of the ATMs as they’re all down too. Managed to withdraw cash at the post office to pay for groceries. Thanks for still providing that service @auspost - we’re not going to be cashless yet.
-
Joshua McKinnon (@corduroy) reported from Blaxland, New South WalesIs Telstra mobile really crap in the Mountains, or is it because I’m using a cheap reseller? I can rarely watch a 3m video without massive pauses, even with 2-3-4 bars of reception.

Philippa Smith (@PhilippaASmith) reported@Lindajwil @Telstra Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues Linda. Organisations have so little consideration for customers and it is unacceptable when, like you, they are having to deal with so much.

the what an election chocobo (@noreasonspec) reportedHas Telstra mobile been dog **** for anyone else in Sydney recently? Just tons more black spots of no coverage on 5g?
-
thomas armstrong (@MynoteTa) reported@toiletpaperaus1 No only did they sell off Telstra, they lied about it. Promised hand over heart they would not sell all of it knowing full damn well that they absolutely had to. It was always going to be all or nothing. Absolute ***** then and still are!

Heather Bilson. (@BilsonhBilson) reported@Stinkfiist Howard’s sell off public assets is still contentious! $71.8B in assets that included,Telstra, airports, 167 Billion tons of gold at knock down prices no wonder he was popular with the rich!😳 Rudd got landed with the GFC when falling US house prices had people unable to repay
-
Conrad (@SdadMyself) reported@SkyNewsAust Every business contributes tax revenue to the government, and extending the licence ‘could’ help raise additional funds. Will this create more jobs, or lead to layoffs like we’ve seen at Telstra and the big four banks, taking into consideration in the current climate?

Frances Daily (@Frances__Daily) reported@AlanBixter @Telstra Not to mention their email service BigPond’s which frequently has issues…
-
The Noisy Elephant (@TheNoisyTrunk) reported@adrian_couper "Telstra is a perfect example. The public owned it, public funds built it, and then the government sold it back to us as shares, what a ‘great deal’ for the people, right? In reality, the public purse lost a reliable income stream, and most everyday Australians (the ‘mum and dad’ investors) ended up on the losing end. Institutional investors and super funds snapped up the lion’s share, while retail investors often saw their holdings underperform or get diluted over time. The privatisation was framed as empowering the public, but the system was stacked in favour of the big players from the start. What John Howard did was sold the golden goose that lays eggs to pay down debt to make himself look good. Short-term.

Chris Pomfret (@CJPomfret) reported@Mac80277103 @JP__75 Howard shifted policies. He said GST would never be part of his Gov’s policies at the ‘98 election, then introduced it in ‘00. He said no Work choices then introduced it. No Telstra same then sold it. This is different to a gov seeing housing get harder so they made a change.

Salt N pepper 🌶️ (@Partytime63) reported@MarkAClarkson @Telstra I left Telstra years ago and not going back unless they are the only one left in the market. Telstra is the most expensive service provider in the world. They are also not honest about the blackspot in many parts of remote areas.
