@Telstra Thank you Jay! This is super useful information. Is that just for porting from Telstra or does it apply when porting from any network in Aus? Is this a feature that users have to request from their carrier? Or is it enabled by default?

@wheredidgogogo @luvmygoose Nah, ALDI uses the lesser Telstra *wholesale* network. Boost is the only budget MVNO that has access to the full Telstra spectrum. How long and securely they store D/L and Medicare numbers (which I had to divulge for my recent port) is of course anyone’s guess.

@PeterTOWNSV1LLE @PCKJ3627 I've been with Telstra for 30 years and have never provided the information that Optus has on customers. I'd hope that is the case for newer customers.

@Telstra I left voice messages twice, no callback. I'm trying to replace my phone and have had zero communication from any store. I'll let you know how I go; I'm literally going to walk into stores on the offchance they can help.

WTAF @Telstra You cut my internet off before I could set up with new provider and while I’m STILL paying you for the service? 😡

@MandieS69489335 Yeah you do, even more so now from the fact that you somehow don't know how to differentiate between being informative and "bragging". Someone wanted to switch to telstra and I was being helpful to them while you were just being rude with no apparent skills to do ur own research

DiscursiveMe B.G.B (Hons). I DIDN’T VOTE LABOR. (@davobob) reported
@AlboMP Staff meeting at Telstra Customer Relations Improvement.

@Scamwatch_gov @SAPoliceNews Funny how this coincided with @Telstra forgetting to send a recharge reminder text resulting in my phone not working and freaking me out that my number had been ported. Has Telstra also got issues?

@9NewsAUS All the people who’s information was leaked should be compensated by @Optus to the tune of 2years free service. This leak is abhorrent to say the least. Customers should be up in arms demanding compensation. @Telstra will be diligently putting in all required programs
