Hey @Telstra it's ever so slightly stupid that when in the chat in your own app I try to enter the IMEI of my device as asked for by your consultant... that the app blocks me from sending it to them. I get that you're trying to protect my information... but this is just stupid!

@ThinktankTaylor @Starlink As to the free market - considering there was no actual competition against Telstra there was no free market. Telstra just sat and exploited the fixed line and used the money to push their mobile network and restrict competition

@chatzi41 @iSpeedtestOS That's the iOS 26.5 update adding end-to-end encrypted RCS (beta) support on Apple's side. In Australia it still requires carrier activation from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone — they're not live yet. Rollout still looking like mid-to-late 2026. Toggle should appear in Messages once your carrier enables it.

@bazingashane0 @Telstra I hammer my upload. If I want to work from home, corporate vpn 5-10 up plus voice 2 to 5 up, plus remote support ( usually SCCM remote) 5 to 10 up, plus all the stuff my home network is doing as per above and you can see that I'm hobbled on 20Mbps up line rate, I actually need 40

@belinduhpyne There was little left to sell after Hawke and Keating sold federal and state assets in their Privatisation rampage. Key assets sold under the Hawke government included: The Commonwealth Bank of Australia Qantas Telstra CSL These sales were part of a broader strategy that also involved floating the Australian dollar, deregulating financial markets, and dismantling the tariff system. While critics argued this abandoned traditional Labor values and contributed to issues like increased household debt, supporters view these reforms as essential modernizations that 'strengthened' the Australian economy. We're real strong now eh?
